Ha! I just watched this and was immediately inspired to leave a comment, and "LO & Behold!", you just left it for me! My BIG reason for loving MCO was when I had a monk character and wanted her to fight with a staff with authentic martial art staff movements. I also wanted real "kung-fu style hand=to-hand fights, and I was so thrilled when MCO made that possible!
And now, a mod that allows magic to be performed with "true Avatar movements" does seem to be the logical next step!
I'm quivering with excitement!!!!
Man the animations scene in Skyrim is like the place with the most potential for awesome stuff to come out, but animation is so hard and time consuming lol. But I'm pretty happy people keep trying to add new cool stuff into the game.

I swear this is just inquisitor which is like 5 years old. If nto it does very nearly the same thing and has near identical animations but I guess if it has active development thats cool

Would be cool to balance an entire game around this combat:

Chance to finally play spellfist monk? Looking forward to this mod. Some cool dragon themed attacks and killmoves would also look cool. Like claw attack animations but they actually spew fire claw marks forward few meters or kill move where you grap the enemy, spread their mouth open forcefully and spit fire into their mouth by screaming (iconic move from couple of movies done y dragons/Gozzilla etc). And that being said, we need animations that use the mouth for casting.
Think about this: Animated Overlays -> body, neck and face tattoos that are invisible or dark normally but when casting the "dragons breath" style spell those tattoos will glow bright red. Also why there is no "Overlays/Tattoo" armors = armors that look like overlays on upper body and barbarian style leather/fur/mail pants. Would look cool for a melee caster "Shaman" style character.

@biggie_boss That would be amazing. You make really good mod lists. LoreRim is better than Vagabond, which was the only other contender for it on wabbajack. Vagabond just has too many performance issues. Even on a 4090, it has frame drops. LoreRim is a massive mod pack, and it doesn't have any performance issues on even a 3060 as it should be. Honestly, though, you don't have to make your own game. You already are technically with your take on skyrim.
did you see Fallout 76 and Starfield? Bethesda is incapable of making a good game now. Elder Scrolls 6 will be utter trash, and modders will be the ones that make it good.
That means more paywalled animations using this framework ^^

I think it is Avallach Robes. it comes with Apachii Divine Elegance Store. The graphics are so enhanced that it took me some time to recognize it!

Just after MCO first came out, I started wondering if someone could use it to bring the Tai Chi form to Skyrim.
I imagined having a warrior playthrough where your character could practise their skills every morning by doing the Tai Chi form.
When i saw this and what you said about it looking like it could be based on a hand combat animation, once again I thought:
"Wouldn't it be so damn cool to use "Avatar" style movements to cast elemental magic!!!!"
. . . . my tail is wagging madly with excitement!
