Udon is popular but not "everyone has it for breakfast" popular. It is definitely the most popular Japanese noodle dish but ramen is getting traction among the young folks. Korean breakfast is similar to Japan in that in consists of a bowl of rice, bean paste soup(miso, doenjang) and a bunch of side dishes. But people are consuming less rice every year like Japan and are going for more westernized options like bread, yogurt and cereal.

As a food noodles are S tier. I like the big noodles or the thin noodles the most.

Me for deserts, the best is something creamy, shoft and cold to finish a meal

I think @emirichu opinion of udon kind of hits similar with tteokbokki. Since the noodles for both are similar and made from the same ingredient. I love udon like Emily.

Oml I cannot STAND cold soup. My mom's the same. If it's not burning my mouth, I don't want it.

I'm not too passionate about whichever noodle is better than others, but imma put my 2 cents in.
Tsukemen is just ramen but with extra steps. and for that reason, it's slightly inferior to ramen.
i kinda like soba and ramen about the same amount, choosing between one kinda depends on what i'm craving more.
and idk if i like udon more or less. its so filling yet i think i like the thicker noodles more. but its something i don't want to eat as often compared to the others because of how thick and filling the noodles are.

For me, who love every kinds of noodles, I would rank all of them pretty high.
Although I like Houtou as well. Too bad they didn't mention it.

I don't think its that bad I like udon as well tbh I prefer bold flavors in the morning rather than lunch and dinner its hard to explain its like you are droopy and clumsy in the morning and its like bam boom skadoosh but after work or during break its like I'm in no mood for that its like they are dragging you back into reality and you are like I just want some sleep
