🎉Totally agree about BGO. Thanks for the Jean Luc Ponty suggestion. The Rick Wakeman should be very good. I heard him do Journey recently here in the UK with a new singer, Steve Marriott's daughter. Worth hearing for a capella versions of Yes songs. The band, with Adam and Lee, is amazing. Just booked for Big Big Train and Pat Metheny and Steve Hackett doing Lamb so all is well with the world.

Thanks a lot once more, to the both of you, lucky enough to have seen, The Pink Fairies, a trio of albums, well worth buying, especially now they are cheap.

Nice Pink Fairies box set. A band i saw countless times during the early 70s. The debut 'Never Never Land' from '71 is by far the best, featuring spectacular guitar throughout from Paul Rudolph.

Picked up the MSG box set. It sounds amazing, probably better than the vinyl I had back in the 80s. Haven't listened to the extras yet (2cds of that). For Built to Destroy you get the original and US mix on one disk. I wish instead of the extras they could have included the live albums. Thats just me. I'm happy with it. I paid $47+tax if you're wondering. The packaging is stellar. Top quality, lots of pics and a 52 page booklet on the history of the band. If you don't have the records or cds, this I would recomend.

Not too keen on the s/t debut, but have had 'Charge' by Paladin in both LP and later in CD form since '72. Excellent album of superbly played rock with prog leanings which i highly recommend. One of Roger Dean's finest covers too.

Yes "Talk" has undergone a re-evaluation and gained a cult following in recent years. That's probably why this album is being reissued now and you're getting orders for it. When it first came out, a lot of Yes fans were annoyed that after the "Union" tour Howe, Bruford & Wakeman were all let go from the band, which just reverted it back to the "YesWest" line-up that Anderson had quit and formed ABWH to get away from. Call it "Yes logic". Because a large chunk of the fanbase was unhappy with the personnel shake-up, "Talk" never really got a fair shake with a lot of people, and it was being trashed before it even hit store shelves. After all the brew-ha-ha died down and more line-up changes came, people went back to "Talk" and realized that it was much better than it was initially perceived to be. It's interesting to now see this album in many Yes fans top 10 and top 5 lists, even some folks who used to dismiss it. Personally, I think it's by far the best of the Rabin/YesWest albums and am glad that I got to see the tour, which was, unfortunately, poorly attended.

Personally, I really wanted to at least hear and see Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin together in Yes. I thought they had great chemistry. I saw the Talk tour at the Shoreline and it was lightly attended, but they had the Surround System with them and it sounded GREAT. People missed out on a really good show.

@@JoeChewBaca Agreed. When it was first announced that Yes was working on a new album after the "Union" tour, it was initially said that Wakeman was involved...then he suddenly wasn't. I always wondered what went Awry. It says on the Wikipedia page for "Talk": "By mid-1993, Wakeman withdrew his involvement as Carson and Yes manager Tony Dimitriades required him to cut all ties with his own management, which Wakeman was not prepared to do". So it all came down to a business/professional decision and not a musical one...Later on we did get Rick & Trevor playing together in ARW, but the idea of hearing them produce new material together in the 90s is a much more fascinating "what if".

Don't miss out on the upcoming album "The Empyrean Equation of the Long Lost Things" by Vanden Plas. 30 years of great prog/metal). If the two tracks released so far are any indication, this will be another amazing entry. It's due to break on April 19th, and here's the first taste: "My Icarian Flight": th-cam.com/video/RNiXdcgzCYE/w-d-xo.html

@@lasercd7851 I think so... it's pretty progressive and it rocks. And if Pete thinks Supertramp are a Prog Rock band then it definitely is.

So glad I got psi and Virgo before this episode aired. These are limited to 300 cds worldwide to my knowledge never issued on cd. 2 best jazz fusion albums all times in obscure market. And psi is out of stock as I type this comment.
