But it IS great emulation is getting that fast on PC. Just built my rig a year ago and it was built to emulate pretty much everything on a budget with the Ryzen 5600g processor so interested to see how it handles PS4.
I wonder if GTA 6 will run on it given the PS5 seems similar to the PS4 but more powerful. If there's no day 1 PC port, you'll still be able to play on PC.
Watching GTA 3 running on the Dreamcast puts a smile on my face. I remember the discussions back in the day with people saying DC couldn't run the game. This is sort of a vindication for DC, and it also shows how powerful the SH4 really is. To be fair, the game should also be loading from a disc instead of flash memory.
I have to assume because of how similar new gen consoles are to PC hardware, emulating has been much simpler than it is for retro consoles. Also it may not qualify as "emulation" in the typical fashion. More of a launcher environment versus copying architecture of a system that is wholly dissimilar to a desktop computer and having to run that first before loading games with it.
Additional info cause why not: C determines what a “string” is by looking character by character for the hex code 0x00. Without that, it will continue indefinitely as it thinks the memory is one really big string. This can be used to override other memory addresses. Nowadays, there are some memory protections in place in most OSs. Strncpy is an alternate, safer approach which copies over designated n characters.
Just seen devs video and you need an older dash with the blades. So majority of us are SOL... But still cool he made a fully softmodable 360 exploit to begin with. So hopefully this leads to something. I mean the 360 is no longer getting dashboard updates, so that means that the latest dash is always the latest. Now people can really dive in and try to exploit it without fear of something being patched. So there is at least that.

The Tony Hawk exploit might be a way to finally softmod the Xbox 360, so it'll be interesting to see if anything comes from that.
