Hey guys I just wanna say thank you for all your videos that your posting you’re doing a great job Every video you-post I follow and if it wasn’t for y’all this year I have caught over 100 bass THANKS BRO BRO
Grew up fishing the southern delta... Very tricky fishery and even after many years I never really had it figured out. Much respect to those who guide there successfully!
So refreshing to see some tidal action for once on literally any top fishing channel. As someone who lives off the Chesapeake Bay this was great to see. I don't want to downplay the great work a lot of people put in on lakes but man, get into some tidal water where the fish can move around so much easier and you really have to know your stuff.
Oh for sure! We lived on the CA Delta for years and tide chasing was 95% of our fishing. Unfortunately we don't get to do it as much as we'd like these days.
With Clear Lake water so low all but one ramp are closed. The Delta has become fishery of choice. Glad to see you guys wading through juveniles looking for a better quality. I was beginning to think I just did not have “right bait” and was only attracting littles. There is a big one in there somewhere. Thanks for posting. Safe travels.
That’s awesome, Matt has taken me down to that area too. I’d never been there before either. We were able to CAREFULLY drive through that dam at the time.
I know that stretch of water well, ~10 miles of native river, awesome video as always, thanks for sharing. In the winter all that hyacinth will come downstream and clog the main river for hundreds of yards, after the wing dams are removed. It’s amazing to watch them build these dams in a couple of weeks each summer then remove them completely in winter. I usually catch a limit or two when I’m idling into the marina like you guys did. Fun stuff.
Holy freakin cow!! I have never seen anything like that in my life!!! That little dam jump was so freakin cool!! Guess it was their way around building a lock lol
Used to have a camp just on the other side of that dam. Careful to all anglers that go on the other side of that damn sand bars are all over 20 to 1 foot just like that. So heads up, have fun all hope to see ya out there
Matt and Tim, I am a fairly new angler and have learned so much from your videos! Thank you. Would you guys be open to sharing some more info regarding the conditions during your filming on your videos? A widget in the bottom corner of the video with the info or even in your video descriptions would be awesome. Specifically I am curious to see the water temps, air temps and time of day for your videos. Since we all live in different parts of the country this will help me to dial in when techniques are more effective. Once again, thanks for all of the information that you already share!
I Fish those waters a ton. Going back in those waters when the damn isn’t up can be super sketchy on low tide. I wouldn’t recommend going back there on low tide if your not familiar with the water. Seems like the stripers are always bustin right there. Same thing happens for us going back to the ramp we see em busting right there. Always get em there on the rattle trap.
Hi guys, I have been watching tactical bassin for a long time now and you guys are so knowledgeable! I appreciate all the great info my lake, lake rhodhiss in North Carolina has striper and I try to catch them in the fall while I'm fishing for large and smallmouth but have only been successful on top with walking baits and whopper plopped . So my question is how to I target the striper when they aren't boiling up? Thanks for your time
Nothing like Matt and Matt fishing mats!
Congrats on escaping California!
Wow. You are fishing in my waters and pretty darn good at it. Welcome back to California.

Fishing was fun as usual, but that boat run looks EPIC!
That Matt Allen signature small fish chuckle.
Awesome video. Glad to see you back in California for a bit
Lol Matt squared. Great fishing. Man that boat is smooth. Sick watery!
Absultly awesome. I got a guide trip planned with Ross next week on Clear Lake. Cannot wait....
Thats great!! Have a blast and say hi to him for us! 😀
Getting ready for that fall striper bite
That was great!
That boat ride looks fun

Thats my part of the delta! I fish all of that from the bank though. Soon will be exploring in a kayak!
I used to drive over that bridge every day going to and from work!
yay

Yeah it’s big money for the state that’s for sure. Man you’re right though I’m a heavy equipment operator by trade and they have it down to a science
made my morning
Man I'm in the wrong profession... Now I can get paid to back a trailer all day for people...
😂 That's a pretty cake job.
I need this job.
Those are state workers they work from 6am to 8pm.
Holy freakin cow!! I have never seen anything like that in my life!!! That little dam jump was so freakin cool!! Guess it was their way around building a lock lol
the Old River has great fishing.
Damn.... it's like runnin on a fairway.
the delta always looks so much like florida!
Ca Delta baby! 209 Paradise Point Boyz

Hope I didn’t come off as a know it all, it would just really suck for someone to hit one of the bars I’ve seen a couple people hot em at full speed
I would’ve punched those mats by that ramp. Looked too good.

That's like a ghetto lock operation. Love it.
Ha! So true!
Nice video lot of small fish but at least you didn't get skunked
We had a blast! A couple shots at decent ones and plenty of action. For a one day window to fish, we'll take it 👍
@@tacticalbassin for sure
That's like running the grass on chickamaga neat video
Thanks John!
See? I'd just fish the boat ramp all day. It looks awesome

Why you post at 4am when I'm sleeping 😴
Lol i woke up to watch this and then went back to sleep
Ha! So East coast guys can catch it before work 👍
I was just there on Saturday! Haha
Where on the Delta is that? Nearest marina / launch ramp? Looks fantastic.
🔥🔥 what an incredible day for Matt and Matt 👏👏
Great video Matt! Where did you launch out of?
The striper boils on the delta can get insane 🤙🏻
You know your back on the delta when you are running through the hyacinth.
Thought you were going to take a bait to the face at 12:23 😮
There is a spider on the bass at 6:05
Only in California do you have Valet launching !
HOW did you drive through that hyacinth mat?!?!
How do the bass survive with all the salt water coming in ?
Where did you guys launch from?
Is this down grant line or old river?
Buddy had some big cajones jumping on pad like that in all that hyacinth and slop. I was nervous, not gonna lie.
That’s how you do it, get up on plane and power thru. We run 200-300 yards of shore to short hyacinth at 50+, there’s no hard stuff in there…usually.
Tim looks different for some reason slimmer or taller 😆
I live near the delta and my biggest bass was 7 or 8 pounds
What kind of glide bait has no rattles in it? I have been looking for some.
Savage Gear Shine Glide, R2S S-Waver are a few very affordable ones
@@travisaverill463 thank you so much. Greatly appreciated
I'm going to Lake Texoma the end of October, do you have an tips?
Swimbaits bud
@@dominiconate528 soft plastic or hard? Keitech, Magdraft, etc. or S-Waver, Gantarel, Bull Gill?
did you go to Trajan
Does anybody know if there is apple snails out there.
Is that a new frog rod your testing?
No, that's a travel rod that I use when I fly somewhere instead of drive. Its a BPM Customs 7'3" XH custom built. You can find them on IG.
There aren't any smallies in the delta right? I was just wondering , if not why not?
There are a ton but they're farther North. There are Spotted bass as well.
Caught a few Spots in the deep south where the boys fished today even a few lost salmon 😋
The smallmouth bass like the main river with rock . They are there 🎣
I don't think Matt will answer this but was wondering way back/down south there is it still tidal?
Did you forget how to fish the Delta Matt lol. Jk
Yeah, it's still tidal 👍 Forgotten how to catch them on the Delta only takes about a day LOL The ever-changing mystery.
Out in Biden / pilosi country …… no thanks
