Ya baby! Awesome vid! It's funny how you make it look so easy!, I "air chair " and it can be very difficult for people to learn lol! Keep up the good work! 😎
It's pretty much the same principle as when an airplane wing generates lift. From a fluid mechanics scope, both air and water are considered fluids and in some ways they behave simirarly. So the horizontal hydrofoil in this case should have the cross-section shape of an airfoil. You can find many videos in youtube explaining how the airfoils generate lift.
Is it possible to put the kit together like the white one whereas you can unscrew the foil wings? Also, would it work well if you put it on a kneeboard? Thank you for these amazing videos.
Clearwater Hydrofoils I am wondering how much power you really need. Do you believe you could get an 8yr old with 20-25kg to foil behind an electric boat...those you can rent out and that only go 5-6km/h? Do you share your plans? I would really love to build one of these but actually got no use for it apart from trying to get my small children to fly (the 3yr old and 5yr old are only 10-15kg...I figure one or the other would fly)
Wrong. USA abandon hydrofoil because it's too inefficient. In normal ships, you don't spend any fuel to levitate the ship. In hyrofolic ships, you have to spend your fuel extra to levitate tens of tons of ship all the time its moving. Do you know how much energy it's needed to levitate to levitate a ship every second?
Very nice! It doesn't always need to be expensive and high-tech to be performant. Thumbs up from me.
Mate the surf brands that charge over a thousand dollars for just the foil must be pissed at you, great work DIY!!
I’d like to flat water , do you have a build kit for that?
Can you use the surf kit for kiting or wake kiting for learning?
What wood is that ? Beech ? Locust ?
Can this board work without waves or without boat? I really like to built one but do not have a boat
Can you tell how to made this wooden foil
can u solo foil pump with it
Hello, I'm making my foil tb and I would like to know how much weight on average your set without the board is getting?
Ya baby! Awesome vid! It's funny how you make it look so easy!, I "air chair " and it can be very difficult for people to learn lol! Keep up the good work! 😎
How tall and wide is the staff thing that holds the wings to the board and how far is it from wing to wing
It's called the mast. 70-110cm.
Tell me about wood material please I am waiting for your reply
How fast do you need to be to get lifted?
I would assume that this is a fairly easy foil to ride if you are a beginner? Wou;d you ship to Canada too? Great videos!
Any way to make this an efoil?
Hi, great build, do you know what physics principles are involved with the hydrofoils? maybe something on fluid dynamics and mechanics?

to use bolts, some other modifications need to be done. Nothing too extensive but slots need to made for inserts.
Thank you very much, your product is awesome.
Its easy to see why the shorter one is more stable, an even shorter one would would be better. I would bet about 5" shorter would be a sweet spot.
Would this foil work on a kayak?
Jens Sandvig no
very good videos, nice explained! Thats important!
What Hp do you have on the dingy towing you? Looks fun.
Its not much of a Dingy. Its a 17 foot tin boat with a 30 hp two stroke. However you certainly don't need nearly that much power.

5-6 km/h would be too slow. I would say 13 km/h would be the slowest speed for a 85kg rider.
are these pulled by a kite?
Can you use this foil for kitesurfing, or is it to small?
I ride this foil with my kite all the time! I would recommend a taller mast for kite foiling.
What are they made from?
fiberglass over wood

Hey bro I am a student can you help in my project
This is awesome!!!!
Love the bgm
i think, this will make ships a lot more efficient and faster.

sooooooo
where/how do i order a kit?
Thanks!
Email me at clearwaterhydrofoils@gmail.com and let me know where you need it shipped.
You don't 'build' something when you buy a kit, you 'assemble' and finish
They actually make the kit...
Should be able to buy a kit made from recycled plastic.
Any foil not using a polluting engine is much better than this one
Most would disagree! Enjoy!
wonderful :D keep going (y)
slap a battery a brushless motor on it with an impeller a hand controller and you can sell them for $11,999 lmao
Working on that! Except cut that cost in half!
