Currently watching your Scotland road trip videos. Takes me back to 1975, I had just passed my driving test and with two mates and my mk 1 Ford Escort, decided to do a Scotland road trip camping each night in a week. Left East Anglia early one Saturday in June, up the A1 / A68 to Edinburgh for the 1st night. Sunday morning on the A9 to Inverness with a stop at Pitlochy (no bypass then). Two nights at Inverness with a drive round both sides of Loch Ness on the Monday. Wednesday morning, more A9 ( no Kessock or Cromarty bridges then), Wick for best fish and chips lunch ever, up to John o Groats, and then across the top to Durness. Wierd night there, it never got dark. Thursday morning down the beautiful but empty A838 / A894 via the Kylestrome ferry, eventually joining the A87 /A82 to Fort William. Long drive that day so gave Ben Nevis a miss !!! Leisurely morning in Fort William before driving south through Glasgow to the last stop at Greta Green. Covered over 2000 miles that week, will never forget it.
Great filming, a shame that the weather wasn't more kind to you but it has certainly whetted my appetite for my planned trip in June 2019 when I certainly hope the sun shines to witness the stunning scenery in all it's glory. Thank you for posting.
You seem to be driving very fast for that road. I have driven it in thick ice and snow and ended up with a flat tyre. I felt like I was on another planet with nothing around me for miles. But it is beautiful there
Its not only bathroom systems that are outdated in UK. Drivers still drive without headlights by gray cars in waether condition like this. Similar to India. The highway code demands only side lights after sunset in UK.

Thanks for the comment! It's really hard to find some sunshine in that corner of Scotland.
@@RoadsofEuropeverreme Yes, very true but I hope it proves to be exception when I visit and I plan to be there on the longest day of the year.
