Was in the market years ago for a 86 when I was just starting to get into the car scene, and the up to speed video on the GT86 had just came out. Long story short made one of the best decisions of my life and bought one which has lead to countless memories and a newfound passion for Motorsports and car culture as a whole. This new video reaffirms and brings back a lot of memories when I was making that decision and reminds me how special this platform is. Companies and people change just like cars you drive over the years but I’m proud of everything Bigtime is becoming. Thanks again guys!

Just because things don't work out (for what could be a myriad of reasons) is sometimes a great thing regardless if you're talking about marriage/sports/auto/tech. This all worked out great for everyone involved. What most people saw as a failure was more of a neutral passage with people being upfront with decorum. Being upfront with decorum is lost these days it seeems.
Watching Jeremiah and Zach prosper just makes me happy. My boyz deserve it!! Hope one day you both have a big workshop/warehouse filled with all the channels cars.

Because just like the miata is basically was the only car in it's segment, only instead of being a nice car for hairdressers to buy that's also decently sprightly it was a mid engine sports car that you could just barely fit groceries in. They're mad cool but basically only owned by morons, so the pool of decent examples by now is basically 0, spoken as a moron, I also bought a weird little japanese thing and then ruined it for any future buyer.

Can’t say how happy seeing you guys make a video on the BRZ made me. My first car (that I still have) is a 2013 FR-S, I’ve had it for almost a year, and my underpowered go-kart is still so fun to drive. This video definitely inspired me to finally start on some of the modifications I’ve been dreaming of making since the day I bought it.
Two things I’m pissed that it’s two days and TH-cam decides to bring this to me now I change my notifications on the bell icon. Everybody else should too next 37 seconds in and the intro was absolutely flawless. You guys are awesome.

I've bought one of the rare 2021 second gen BRZ (it's technically a 2022, but it was built in October 2021), and man it's fun to drive. It's much faster than the first gen, but it's still in the "drive a slow car fast" category. She never failed to put a smile on my face, especially in the snow. Overall, I believe it's one of the best bang for your buck deal you can get nowadays.
There used to be a couple that ran a Vibe in the rally cross group I compete with. It ripped in SF or PF (can't remember which category they ran). I think they sold it and moved out of the area.
@cesarhanshoff2741 someone's uneducated, rwd typically lose 15% power to the drive train, no car has the same WHP as CHP. Even fwd loses 10% on average. If you do the math he's losing 20% which is very normal, some cars lose upwards of 40%. Go read a book

Because most channels aren't really made by car people. The beauty of the BRZ is that it's a gearhead's car. It's a car you can full-on go nuts with, and it'll be there for it. People have done insane things to the 86/BRZ platform, which is exactly what the car was meant for when it was developed by Scion and the performance wing of Subaru. Fun car out of the box, but designed with aftermarket support and buildouts in mind. People who want to buy, not build - they can't really appreciate that as much.

Traded my 2021 XSE 6speed Corolla Hatch for a GR86 Premium and honestly it’s super fun to drive, I modified the Corolla for a bit but got to a point where I was wishing for it to be a bit more fun, I have plans on moving so I couldn’t spend too much money to modify the car more so I gave in when the 86 showed up at my work for sale, got the car for 29k out the door snow tires included with 3k miles on the car, I’m looking forward to daily driving in the snow as well
12:18 yes, that's exactly!! Same with motorcycle, it is more fun to ride 250cc - 600cc rather than 1000cc. With 250cc bike, you can hear high rev engine and you still within speed limit. 600cc might be fun if you really want that power. 1000cc is excessive on the road, 4000 rpm on 3rd gear and you are already 120 km/h (75 mph).
@porkchopalicious First off, that BRZ has way more than 20k into it. Probably has 20k into the engine alone. Also 2013 was the last year of the c6 corvette, probably the best looking corvette ever and the first year of the c7 corvette. The c6 was 40kmsrp and the c7 was 57k. I'm not denying dumping money into a car is fun, but into a BRZ? No thank you. Those cars blow up regulatory without boost.

I’ve had a few cool cars that are faster then a BRZ but recently I bought a BRZ and it is now one of my favourite cars I have ever owned, it’s just pure fun to drive and with a few mods it is a back road weapon.
I had a 2013 FRS that i traded in for a new 2018 86 that i recently traded in. Both cars were already sold before i even took delivery of the new car. They are highly sought after.
Jerry you and I both know wider tires don't increase the size of the contact patch, they just made it wider and shorter. We know this because the contact patch size is largely dictated by tire pressure. For those curious souls - what wider wheels allow you to do is run a lower tire pressure for a given sidewall height while maintaining lateral stability. Lower tire pressure is what allows the contact patch to spread out on the pavement and give you more square inches of contact.
I had a 2019 GT86. It was pretty fun. Most people had never seen one before and thought it was a Supra. Unfortunately it was a bit slow so I got rid of it. 😢
I've a 2013 GT86, bog standard and I love my car. It's like road legal go-kart. My car sounds way better grinding the revs, maybe the mic wasn't in the passenger wheel well or they removed the sound dynamics with the overhaul? Big Time On GT86/BRZ ❤❤
Regarding the whole slow car fast/fast car slow thing, it's completely true. Obviously dependent on curb weight, but anything north of 400hp is pointless on the street. Obviously gearing ratio is key too. The most fun street cars in my experience are 300-400bhp, lightweight, with a high revving engine and a gearbox with a short ratio.

Having owned several ae86s, the frs,brz,86 chassis didn’t disappoint. Now I’m into my second one and possibly a third as a daily in a year or so.

Traded my 2021 XSE 6speed Corolla Hatch for a GR86 Premium and honestly it’s super fun to drive, I modified the Corolla for a bit but got to a point where I was wishing for it to be a bit more fun, I have plans on moving so I couldn’t spend too much money to modify the car more so I gave in when the 86 showed up at my work for sale, got the car for 29k out the door snow tires included with 3k miles on the car, I’m looking forward to daily driving in the snow as well
i almost bought a brz sti a while ago which is just the brz with the wrx sti engine in it which is a super cool car

Same with motorcycle, it is more fun to ride 250cc - 600cc rather than 1000cc.
With 250cc bike, you can hear high rev engine and you still within speed limit.
600cc might be fun if you really want that power. 1000cc is excessive on the road, 4000 rpm on 3rd gear and you are already 120 km/h (75 mph).
Imagine having the choice to buy a Corvette, but you buy a BRZ for the same price.
2013 corvette was like $60k, much more fun to dump like 10-20 and customize your own car no? Plus 2013 vettes looked like a playdoh sports car
@porkchopalicious First off, that BRZ has way more than 20k into it. Probably has 20k into the engine alone. Also 2013 was the last year of the c6 corvette, probably the best looking corvette ever and the first year of the c7 corvette. The c6 was 40kmsrp and the c7 was 57k. I'm not denying dumping money into a car is fun, but into a BRZ? No thank you. Those cars blow up regulatory without boost.
12:29 I agree. Same goes for motorcycles. Sport bikes just aren’t fun UNLESS you are well..going over the speed limit or just hauling butt. But on a Honda Grom for example is sooo much fun even when cruising.

I’ve had a few cool cars that are faster then a BRZ but recently I bought a BRZ and it is now one of my favourite cars I have ever owned, it’s just pure fun to drive and with a few mods it is a back road weapon.
I had a 2013 FRS that i traded in for a new 2018 86 that i recently traded in. Both cars were already sold before i even took delivery of the new car. They are highly sought after.
Jerry you and I both know wider tires don't increase the size of the contact patch, they just made it wider and shorter. We know this because the contact patch size is largely dictated by tire pressure.
For those curious souls - what wider wheels allow you to do is run a lower tire pressure for a given sidewall height while maintaining lateral stability. Lower tire pressure is what allows the contact patch to spread out on the pavement and give you more square inches of contact.
I had a 2019 GT86. It was pretty fun. Most people had never seen one before and thought it was a Supra. Unfortunately it was a bit slow so I got rid of it. 😢
I've a 2013 GT86, bog standard and I love my car. It's like road legal go-kart.
My car sounds way better grinding the revs, maybe the mic wasn't in the passenger wheel well or they removed the sound dynamics with the overhaul?

Regarding the whole slow car fast/fast car slow thing, it's completely true. Obviously dependent on curb weight, but anything north of 400hp is pointless on the street. Obviously gearing ratio is key too. The most fun street cars in my experience are 300-400bhp, lightweight, with a high revving engine and a gearbox with a short ratio.
