Thank you so much Fabian ! By lifting my thong upward in the bank of the pallet the sound was clearer with no more fuzzy sounds. Like saying ICH. Danke !! I love your instructional videos.
I just decided to pick up my clarinet again after about nine years of not touching it. I started with a simple Demnitz study, and the sound is improving quite rapidly. I needed some tips, and you have provided, so many thanks! I will try the higher tongue position, and the lower jaw further forward tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!
So I tried faster air with quieter notes, but I think it was more pushing from the belly, rather than from having a high tongue position. I can make that 'eeeeeee' sound without the mouthpiece in my mouth, but as soon as the mouthpiece goes in my mouth, my tongue drops. It's weird because when I sing, my tongue goes up, when it's meant to go down! I have both things backwards... I also experimented with the lower jaw a bit. I extended it further down the reed and all I got was squeaking. So I'm a bit confused about this one. How do you push the lower jaw out relative to the top teeth, given that the top teeth are already near the end of the mouthpiece?

Nice to hear about a good clarinet player also using 2,5 strength reeds! Thank you for the tips :)
Nítido, buen consejo amigo, las cañas suaves se sienten más cómodas!
