You make this look like something I can do. Yes! I’m going to make these and all of your recipes so far I have tried my husband loves. Thank you for teaching me to cook food from a different culture than mine.
I taught myself how to make samosas during lockdown. It took ages because I couldn’t find simple instructions to follow like this. I had a friend’s mum on the phone but that’s not the same. If only I had this video - absolutely incredible! Thank you! Diwali ki Shubhkamnayein
Chetna, your videos are always so calming and warm. Reminds me of being in the kitchen with my aunt (which I can't do right now), and these have always been my favorite Indian food. So thank you so much.
When you broke that mini samosa open, I could almost smell it. Looks wonderful. Will have to try to make them so I can taste them. Thank you for sharing.
Ooh lovely they are so CUTE!! This reminds me of the little onion samosas we get in a packet here in India! I believe they are made with samosa sheets. Gotta try these soon!
These are just the cutest. Btw Chetna, what is that lovely shallow hammered bowl, you mix your dough in, called? Edited: just saw dahi vada recipe, so I know what’s it called. 😉
Happy Diwali to you too Chetna. This is a must for Christmas Day snacks. (And I have to confess, at least 25% of the filling never makes it into the pastry! 😱).
I'm trying to learn about the spices you use. Do you make your own chaat masala or do you purchase it? If you make it, could you please make a video showing how this, (and other spices from your background in cooking) are made? Your recipes look so good, and I really would like to make them, but I live where the spices are offered for sale.
What would be a good substitute for sunflower oil? Btw I love your channel, and your food looks mouth watering. Hope you have a lovely day. Sincerely, Dylan.

Down at this size, they're starting to look like cousins of Pierogi or Manti. While we're on relations, isn't tamarind chutney a relation of Brown Sauce, or is that a step too far? 🤣
haha... i had a good laugh on the brown sauce comparison. I would think the tamarind chutney is more of a distant acquaintance in the relationship spectrum :)

Not the same result.

Hi Chetna! I love samosas. I have to eat gluten free these days. Do you know of a gluten free dough recipe? Can chana flour be used?
Looks delicious! Will all purpose flour work out and fry well? Was that really 2 Tbs oil? It looked like 1/4 measuring cup
How will I lie in the video when you can actually see me use a tbsp????? Yes all purpose would work perfectly!
@@FoodwithChetna ok, just needed clarification. Sometimes theres slip in description. Its all good. Thank u!
@@midlifemom5829 She uses imperial tablespoons (I assume), which are about 1.2 US tablespoons. Hope that helps!
@@colinguan7626 thank u for the kind reply

Rapeseed oil!
I think I'm right in saying Chetna's suggested alternative, rapeseed oil, is also known as canola oil in some parts of the world.
Have a fabulous Diwali!
चेतना जी यह हमारा पसंदीदा नाशता हैं, हम इसे बनाने कि कोशिश करेंगे क्युकी मेरी पत्नी को बहुत पसंद है। धन्यवाद आपका .
