Louie is so underrated. His style of playing is the very foundation on which all other R&B guitar players aspire to achieve. It's top self.
lol what do u mean underrated ? Hes in the Nashville musicians hall of fame, hes just not popular because hes been a play back guitarist and session record artist and isn't the front man or on a cover, but he has worked with lionel richie, Diana Ross, joe carpenter and a plethora of other famous artists because of his skill.

I grew up in Gary Indiana. I lived about 2 miles from where Michael grew up. Other parts of my family lived near them and went to school with his brothers. I LOVE this song and how cool this is to be played by Louie as an instructional video WITH TABS!!!. Thank you so much.

I can hear straight away why this man was in such demand. Just listen to the many hits throughout the 70’s & 80’s that must have been influenced and inspired by Mr Shelton’s style. It’s all there in this demonstration.

Playing like this is so special; to write something like this is even more special. One thing I wanted to draw special attention to is how his fretboard has worn. C# Minor pentatonic is the only place still fresh, and that is "the pocket", in my opinion. The string tension is absolutely wonderful there; there are so many good songs to shred over. I think it is hilarious that he stayed away from the pocket. That is my favorite spot to lead. C or C# minor, that tension is so perfect there.

Simply wow.. There are no words to describe the raw talent you have at your finger tips. I’m from the UK and I can honestly say ( embarrassingly so) I had never heard of you til I began looking for songs I would love to be able to play well one day.
I’m in my fifties and have been a fan of Michael Jackson since the Jackson 5. I’m also a big fan of musician/producer Quincy Jones. You are thee best guitarist I’ve have seen. You play effortlessly with great fluidity and ooze passion you have for guitar when playing.
Your age doesn’t hinder you at all.and with that you set the bar even higher. I wish I had stumbled across you much earlier in my life, you’ve inspired me already never to give up.
I started playing electric guitar about 3 years ago and in all honesty I cannot ever see myself getting to your incredibly insane high standards but I will continue on my journey. Brilliant but it does seems to deviate from the Jackson 5 record. It seems that opening bass riff (4 bars) is played twice on the record and 3 times here (bar 1-8 on record, bar 1-12 here).

Take a look at the comments on tab videos, A LOT of people are reading tab and are very grateful they exist. But maybe you are too lazy to do that
