      I'm a bit confused about what you about Monaco. You had said that it was small, and you would start to feel bored/hedged in. But in reality, you have all of France surrounding Monaco. I'm not saying someone should do something illegal and spend the majority of their time in France and get in trouble. But I'm going to assume that some normal traveling into the French countryside + cities isn't going to get anyone into legal/tax problems. It's not like someone has to be locked in there and can never pass over the borders you know? Anyways, what are your thoughts on this?

    You mentioned Monaco . . . yes, it is tax-free but not if you are a French citizen. France continues to tax their citizens that move to Monaco, the same way that Colombia does their citizens if they move to Panama.

    • @adamjuchniewicz4968

      @@zorbathegreek8339 It depends on the country that you are leaving and the country that you are moving to. In the case of Colombia, they only continue to tax their citizens if they move to Panama. Same with France and Monaco. Monaco has zero personal taxes and Panama has a generous territorial tax system. Other countries like Norway or Mexico continue to tax their citizens, but only for a few years after exiting the tax system. It gets complicated and every case potentially can vary. Consult with a tax professional in a specific jurisdiction if you have more questions

    Belize has terrible access to the rest of LATAM. There are almost no direct flights to anywhere, except the USA. The one daily flight to Cancun is on a prop plane that can cost $400 o/w when factoring in luggage.

    Hi, just to update there is no income tax as such in Bahrain. However, there is social security 5% for salaried individuals. There is 10% VAT as well.

    Regarding the company formation visa in the UAE that costs $12-14k, do you have to prove that you are running an actual business? How much do you have to pay to renew/maintain the company and visa each year?

    • @WealthyExpat
      @WealthyExpat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To maintain the company it's about $7K/year, and yes you need to prove that you're running a real business and provide previous bank statements if the business has been running before you register it.

      If you go to Belize as a company investor there or even as a pensioner with their pensioner visa scheme, they will ask for bank statements and they will basically check out your every penny in the country. Some of these countries have their pitfalls and your have to do a lot of research before settling.
