There’s a fix for the special ammo issue for all ammo types except explosive rounds: You need to select a mk2 weapon that is of the same weapon class as the one having its ammo taken away. Then, you need to purchase the same type of special ammo in question and purchase max ammo for it. Then, put it away via the gun locker so it no longer shows in your weapon wheel. For example, if you want AP rounds for your Carbine Rifle but the game keeps taking them away, take any other AR (ie Bullpup rifle mk2) and do this trick. You will find that the game will actually GIVE you full ammo every time you switch lobbies, because of the way the game stores ammo data in the backend. You will never need to buy this ammo again. Hopefully I didn’t overcomplicate this, but each step is equally crucial.
Before buying attachments for your Mk II weapons, you should know few tips that im about to write here to help you not waste too much money and get the best out of the attachments available. Also I poke around in the game files to see what they do and how they benefit your weapons. Also, the ingame stats are lying. Magazines: Pretty self explanatory. Each mags have their own perks. Ext. Mags increase mag size, incendiary ammo will burn your targets, armor piercing rounds will pierce through enemy armor and vice versa. Keep in mind that the weapon will still keep its damage regardless what mags they are using. Flashlight: Self explanatory. While hard to believe it will act as an extra grip to help the weapon slightly reduce its spread and recoil. This is very noticiable on the Micro SMG. Scopes: Reduces the spread and recoil. Each scope has its own zoom value when zooming in, in first person. The Iron Sights doesnt benefit the spread and recoil reducement. Advanced Scope is the best scope for sniper rifles. The Marksman Rifle will have a lower spread when using the default sniper scope. Muzzles: Suppressor doesnt reduce the damage, range or does anything bad when it comes to weapon perfomance. It just reduces the weapon noise and helps you complete stealth missions. Do keep in mind that you will not be seen on the enemy mini map in deathmatches when firing a suppressed weapon. Muzzle Brakes will reduce the recoil and all the muzzle brakes you see function the same so no benefits when buying expensive muzzle brakes. Buy the cheapest muzzle brake. Grip: Reduces the spread. Barrels: Heavy Barrel increases damage drop off. Liveries, Livery Color and Weapon Tints: Cosmetic stuff. Some people stated that the liveries reduced the damage and range which is false and like I said dont trust thos stat bars they are not accurate and are lying to players. Hope this helps.
I use a suppresor on the Marksman rifle because I use it to snipe at about 50 to 100 yards from npcs on certain missions. If other enemy npcs dont see their buddies getting shot and they dont hear it then they dont react and Im left alone to pop them all at leisure.
u need to buy the bunker and do alot of research to get all the attachment u can upgrade ur gun in freakshop to get mark 2 but most the attatchment are locked
I agree except for the Explosive rounds because it would be way to overpowered but It would make the other rounds more commonly used because you wouldn’t have to painstakingly go back to a bench to refill them
u need bunker research for the parts and ammo types but a lot of stuff have the gun workbench. u get one into the mobile operation center and also terrobyte, but u can also find it in your agency's armory room and the freakshop offers one for free too once u complete the first dose missions. also when u start a diamond casino heist and u're on the setups, a workbench will be usable during setups in your arcade's garage.
Just buy the weapon once it’s unlocked(ammunition)and you have to go to a gun workshop like in the agency, terrobyte or whatever you have that has the workshop.
Theres a free weapon bench in Dax’s freakshop. Complete the Ron mission by sandy shores( R on map, drug wars). Freakshop should be available by the Casino after completing
Special ammos are useless they limit the usefullness of anyweapon they are installed because they can only be replenished on the armory workbench for those weapons...
I just wish the special ammo didn't just vanish randomly from your inventory.
Tell me about it. It’s a fucking ripoff for us mission grinders.
It does that every time you get taken out in freemode right?

@@endercrafter55 If this works your comment needs to be pinned. It's such an annoying bug.
@@endercrafter55 nah, the more detail on this the better! Thanks for the tip! Does this work regardless of the platform? I'm on PS5
I hope sometime in the future RockstarGames increase the ammo for MK2 weapons, also add the assault shotgun to a MK2 weapon.
The Assault Shotgun as a mk2 would be the filthiest thing ever, the pump mk2 is already crazy good

Explosive incindiary and hollow point all increases damage…
@@alexdavis1463 They dont. They just change the type of bullet that the weapon will use in the game files.
When you say heavy barrel increases damage drop-off do you mean the range before it drops off is better or the range before it drops off is worse?
@@thegamingloser_yt9541 the range before it drops off is better.
is there any difference beside zoom value in using different scopes in an assault rifle for example?

On everything except sniper,if you use a holographic site you have a simi lock on target,I play PC free aim
Half of these guns aren't giving me the option here, do I need a different gun workshop?
are you talking about locked attachments?
Are you buying from ammunation? try buying in agency, freakshop is free, moc, terrorbyte

you can buy it to store the moc, and you can use the moc to make guns mk2

Btw for everyone watching you need to unlock explosive ammo via the bunker research
anyone know how to get all buisness icons on your mini map i dont know how
You got into your interaction menu (press D-pad on your controller),then preferences and then icons options.
But no liveries on weapons, it reduces the ability of the weapons in the weapons stats u can see
The stats are lying. Feel free to customize your weapons

For MK2 weapons they purposely have it set lower because the weapon is better than usual
