I love that "Going to Iceland?" on the engine
CDG is my hometown airport especially 2A and 2E :D. Hope you remembered me David. Anyway this tripreport is nice, plus, I heard the "Merci" while the guy was checking your ticket before entering the gate. That made me a bit more happy than other tripreports, even though I love them as well. Simply Aviation got my maximum support.
Probably many people saw the mistake at 0:24... thats fine and just happens sometimes :D
Also did you note? The carbet in the plane looked like it was written "WOW WOW WOW" everywhere xD
What I didn't like - 6 ads in 12 minutes! - really? thats 1 every 2 minutes..

Man, flying with WOW last year was the first time I’ve flown in 10 years. I remember that engine noise just completely freaked me out. But this was an amazing video to watch for nostalgia; now the airline is defunct, if you didn’t know

The first word that comes to mind when you see this A330 from outside is WOW and it's because of its so special livery.The sound og the engines was sensational.Great trip review.

Their A330 aircraft are TF-WOW TF-GAY TF-LOV ----- (TF-GAY) was recommended by one of their Captains who is gay himself.

I LOVE the sound of all the RR engines!
The first time I heard a RR engine in an aircraft is when I was flying on the American Airlines 757 flying pencil from DFW to ORL. This was back in 2003. When I heard that engine spool, it put a smile on my face. Those blue cloth AA seats with the black leather adjustable headrests are comfy chairs. I believe that they were made by Haeco.
WOW Air, were so bad we’ll make you go WOW.
I like the fact that flying low cost carriers often allows to enjoy the engine view and sound by sitting in front of it for little or no extra cost... a low cost widebody with such Trent engines is simply perfect

I flew from SFO to paris with a layover at reykjavik, and it was alright, except for the 2 hour delay bc there was not enough crew and an 8 hour delay after because the baggage door was shut/locked and they didnt know where the key was.
I enjoy your videos and keep going with them but i have a question why do you fly very lot and fly to different countries? Because for work or for fun ?

Cork is not Dublin aswell!
It's a 3 hour flight, so IFE isn't really needed, but it is still an A330. It should have an IFE for longer routes it's used on.
WOW Air is a low cost airline, they save money is they don't have built in screens...if you need an IFE you can rent a ipad full of movies and tv shows! ;)

Warum sollten wir das machen? Viele Preise die wir zahlen repräsentieren nicht die Wirklichkeit, da wir halt versuchen so günstig wie möglich von A nach B zu kommen und dafür alles mögliche nützen. Manchmal schrieben wir es ja auch dazu (z.B.: Ryanair). War kalt im Island ;)
Keine Ahnung ich wünsche es mir nicht, um einen Vergleich zu haben sondern interessehalber. Ist schon klar das ihr günstige Verbindungen raussucht.
To be fair, those a really cheap inflight purchases! Also, no IFE and wifi to make the plane lighter = less fuel = cheaper flight tickets, its what people want, its the future, a dark future IMHO!
I dont mind paying a little more to fly with a decent airline, has IFE on their long hauls and inflight meal included.

Flyspotter19 Tbh Flights are going to get more expensive, due to fuel being more scarce.
That's the future of travel! Only budget airlines where you pay for the basic fare only 150$ but only the seat is included. ;)
you don't mind paying more but i do. i like knowing i pay for the seat and that's it. if i want something to eat i pay a couple of bucks (something i'm choosing to do) and i'm still saving lots of money since a big airline will charge me hundreds for food. as oppose to paying extra for things you might not even use and giving your money away. why should i pay extra for food, wifi and ife if i bring my own food and a phone/tablet with movies and games on it. i would pay for a power outlet if i had to just because i know its something i would use all the time. i would gladly fly on the more expensive airlines like American if they offered me the ability to just pay for my seat and then pay for optional addons instead i opt to stick to budget airlines because of all the money i save.
sooner or later the big airlines will have to switch to this business model to compete with the budget airlines who take their business. that also means budget airlines are doomed when that happens which sucks for them but it's good for us because we will get better values for our money on bigger airlines .
When travelling alone and just wanting to explore i find these systems that budget airlines do actually quite good. You pay very low fees with everything excluded and you just pay for that what you need instead of already having everything.

I love Keflavik Airport 😊 When I fly Icelandair out of Halifax, Canada, I love being able to browse the duty free shops, on my layover to and from Amsterdam.
Did you have to check in luggage or why did you go to the counter to check in? Do they not offer online-check in?
I prefere paper boarding passes instead of digital ones! ;)
Oh well that makes sense you being an aviation fanatic and all that...I guess there is no surcharge then for checking in at the counter?
Are the in-flight charging ports really universal or do they only take USB? For example, if I wanted to charge my laptop with an actual charging cable (not like a phone USB), could I plug it in somewhere?

I think you just have to be prepared (bring an iPad and stuff to read). You do get power outlets so charge shouldn't be an issue.
Good trip report, thanks for sharing your experience. Last time I looked at their fares, I wasn't "wowed" by wow once you consider all the extras.

Nice another trip report. How many people are filming for you guys now ? WOW air are indeed very cheap, but they do have an awful amount of long delays, when they only have 3 A330's covering a large amount of routes, when one gets delayed it has a horrible knock on effect.
But that being said you can't beat the super cheap fares and its nice they have the 2 - 4 - 2 seating so if flying as a couple you don't have to share a middle seat, which is a major bonus.

David on which airline did you come from Vienna to Paris and How was Iceland because it is probably colder then Austria. That is my opinion on when we went but we went in the summer so can't say about winter temperatures in Austria. Austria was awesome though. Better then boring U.K

We were in Heathrow last weekend. David is 18 years old. He was coming from Istanbul to Paris. ;)
In Iceland as well as Austria it's winter so the temperatures are generally below freezing point. ;)

TF-SPR, TF-SUM, TF-AUT, and TF-WIN. These are just my guesses as to what names Wow Air would give to their 4 incoming A330neos. Named after the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
Great video as always, what is the most uncommon seat configuration you have seen on a plane that have been on and which plane and airline
I have only been on narrow body jets so just a 3 3, the normal configuration
Maybe the most uncommon one is a 3-2 configuration on Avro, Super Jets and the C-Series. ;)

I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to how to sleep on the plane, particularly on long haul flights? I seem to have tried everything over the years but can't sleep for more than 5 minutes at most.

Went there in August 2016. Also same airline and aircraft. Had a flight from Amsterdam with. WoW. I stayed in Iceland for 2 weeks and i can recommend the duty free store in the arrivals hall of Keflavik. It's by far the cheapest place to get alcohol and tobacco in Iceland. Vinbudin is more expensive....

Yeah I did enjoy it. It's a beautiful place with lot of nature wich you wont see at mainland Europe. I did a round trip by globaly following road nr 1!
Alcohol is indeed very expensive. 25-30 euro for a 10 pack normal lager is common. Strong stuff like the Icelandic schnaps Brenvinn costs about 40-50 euro per bottle. I only drunk Icelandic beer and Brennvin there. Wich is very appriciated by the Icelandics. Is the same for all localy made products!

i feel like the seat would be more suited to an aircraft similar in size to an a320. but overall it's quite nice for a budget airline. I'm quite happy with it😀😀

I thought that Wow Air would rather operate from Paris Orly rather than Paris CDG, because of the low cost airlines.
We didn't get to see the regular seating, but it looked tight. For the price, one shouldn't expect much, and that expectation seemed to be met. This flight was barebones. Fine if you're young and flexible and low on cash, and willing to pack your own lunch.

You should do a video of your favorite travel items (idk). Like favorite bag, and the stuff in it, etc. Just cuz u travel a lot so you probably would give the best advice.
