of course this is not Kiss. this is Paul Stanley on his solo tour from early 1989. He took out Bob Kulick on guitar and Eric Singer on drums because Paul didn't want to stay home in between the greatest hits album and the upcoming Hot In The Shade record
Yup, between 1985 and 2000, Paul Stanley was untouchable - the world's greatest frontman/vocalist. Fuck old age, and how we must all relinquish that crown.
And Bob Kulick was going to be the original Kiss guitar if it weren't for Ace walking into those rehearsals. Also both Bob and Bruce played in Meatloaf's "Bat out of hell" band and can be seen in the music videos for "You took the words out of my mouth" and "Paradise by the dashboard light"
I can see why they didn't choose Bob K. for KISS. He has the charisma of a grub worm. If they'd picked him over Ace I wonder what his makeup character would have been, the dish rag maybe?
Well to be fair did Bruce really have any charisma i mean imo Ace,Vinnie and Tommy has more charisma but Bruce and Bob is the best guitarists that has ever worked with KISS when it comes to technicality, skill and solo writing imo. Ig u could argue that Ace’s solos might sound better but he isn’t really a shredder so it’s hard to compare them if u just rate them in general and not on a specific thing. but if i would compare Bob or Bruce to Vinnie i think Vinnies lead playing Are alright but Bruces and Bobs Are way better like Bruce on Uh! All Night or No,No,No or Bob on Unmasked and All American Man
It's not Eric's fault. It's the band leader's fault for setting the tempo at rehearsals. In this case, Paul's fault. It's his song - he has the right to do whatever he wants to, and Paul in that period believed that to play a song faster meant it had more excitement.
Worst song ever Paul did with Kiss. Relatively good song anyway, because Paul is really good composing songs. Live, playing it faster................ just horrible.
I agree. I LOOOOOOVE KISS - any incarnation, and I respect Paul and Gene to the ends of the Earth, but even Paul has admitted in his 2016 book that this song was a soul-crushing mess and now makes him - and me - cringe. And the gaybo video makes me laugh tears.
Okay, we've had our fin - we have to give BOB KULICK respect since he died. That's Bruce's bro, who ghosted for KISS at various times on the Classic Six, and who would have been the guitarist for early KISS if 1) Ace had no shown up, and 2) if he were not bald.
@@ronin2167 -- hahaha - yeh, that never used to be a fave song of mine either... but then THIS stinker came along. Still, here's an interesting conceptual nugget about "Flaming Youth": In 2023, if you listen to this song, it's amusing to hear Stanley singing back in 1976 “…and my power is my age…” meaning at that time, of course, his YOUTH (24 years old); whereas now he can sing the exact same line and it would still be relevant for a different reason - his *experience!*
Or not, given Bob basically wrote his own solos on the spot here (overplayed in my opinion, whereas Bruce seems to generally be more tasteful in his soloing) and Paul undoubtedly came up with the main riffs.
I was at this show! I was 16 and it was my first concert.
I even bought the concert T that read. "I had a one night stand". LOL
Wow!
Paul: some people go like this 🖕
I go like this 🙅🏻
🤣
lol
This is not KISS...Is Paul's Solo Tour with Eric Singer and Bob Kulick!!!!
But the Song is KISS'S
Thanks, i was wondering about that.

The proper title of the video should be Paul Stanley Band or solo tour. Just as 2006 when he did the Live to Win tour.
Shows how much of KISS' actual sound was Paul Stanly... he's not many peoples Fav but he is 90% of the band.
Damn Eric, cocaine was a hell of a drug...
Paul's voice is at its peak though
Yup, between 1985 and 2000, Paul Stanley was untouchable - the world's greatest frontman/vocalist.

Bob Kulick stole Freddie Mercurys mustache lolol.
People knocking the bpm but this is still some great sound quality and good jam
Stanley sounds great but the song is played here MUCH too fast !
@@ricktheitalianrebel6687 it's his song. How are you going to tell him that he's not playing his own song correctly. Some people I swear
Is that Bob Kulick on Lead Guitar????
Great song
Howie Mandel is pretty damn good at guitar
I’ll have you know that is Bob Kulick, Bruce Kulick’s brother.
Howie was singing for Quiet Riot at this time
Rrip bob kulick we miss him😢
Eric Singer is fuckin killing it on the drums! Also rip Bob he Also killed it and only true kiss fans appreciated him and feels sadened by his death
How are you going to say only true kiss fans feel saddened by his death?? Fuck his family. Fuck his personal friends
Best song of kiss 🖤
Actually, worst song of KISS, but it sounds okay live, with Paul singing at his peak.
Bob kulick yeahhhhhh is the fuckind sound!!!!
Que chingon!!!
3:11 there is something on your guitar bro

Not just the character but the kind of wig he would wear hahahaha
The cue ball?
Great performance
I didn't know Tony Levin played lead guitar.
Didn't know Paul ever played a Steinberger. I hate those guitars.
I don't know how they handle musically, but they sure do LOOK uncool.
Its got a hard almond brothers sound to it.
Ok I will, thank you very much ! I try to find with the " hand glove style " they have some nice " spirit " series too... cheaper... Thanks again ! :)
TIGHT!
That's not a kiss, it's just Paul Stanley with other musicians. Put your title well.
Yes this is a Steinberger.. Do you know the model ? I'd like to buy the same as him... :) Thanks... !
Way to fast. Looses the groove
what it is the drummer ???
ERIC SINGER i´m impressed also!
Ridiculously fast! Talk about taking a groovy song (with awful lyrics though :D) and making it CRAP!!!
Easy does it eric...too fast
Most live songs r acc done faster so they can have more time to sing other song other songs so I mean oh well
It's not Eric's fault. It's the band leader's fault for setting the tempo at rehearsals. In this case, Paul's fault. It's his song - he has the right to do whatever he wants to, and Paul in that period believed that to play a song faster meant it had more excitement.
On speed?
Rocktopuss, he's a musician not a comedian
O CMON PAUL YUO CAN DO IT BETTER ,NOT SO FAST
I guess Bob Kulick just not joined Kiss in the 80s because he was bald.
What's that matter, Gene and Paul have been bald for years ! Just get the man a wig. But on a serious not RIP Bobby Kulick! Phenomenal guitarist!°
You are correct, sir. From all the KISS interviews of the past, that's their final answer.
Worst song ever Paul did with Kiss. Relatively good song anyway, because Paul is really good composing songs. Live, playing it faster................ just horrible.
It's a good song
His cover of "And then He Kissed Me" is the worst he's ever done.
I agree. This is played MUCH too fast
I agree. I LOOOOOOVE KISS - any incarnation, and I respect Paul and Gene to the ends of the Earth, but even Paul has admitted in his 2016 book that this song was a soul-crushing mess and now makes him - and me - cringe. And the gaybo video makes me laugh tears.
Um... this isn't KISS. Just saying. You might want to rename the video
Who is the bald guy
Ace Frehley
That's Ace Frehley without his wig and makeup.
Okay, we've had our fin - we have to give BOB KULICK respect since he died. That's Bruce's bro, who ghosted for KISS at various times on the Classic Six, and who would have been the guitarist for early KISS if 1) Ace had no shown up, and 2) if he were not bald.
Because you mislabeled this and Paul is rushing the song I'm giving you a thumbs down.
hahahahahaha
also because it's the worst ever KISS song.... but that's Paul's fault...
@@jondunmore4268 I would disagree with you. Flamin' Youth is. LOL
@@ronin2167 -- hahaha - yeh, that never used to be a fave song of mine either... but then THIS stinker came along.

The older bro now having to play the younger bro's licks. (Up till 1989, Bruce had to emulate all Bob's ghost licks on old KISS records...)
Or not, given Bob basically wrote his own solos on the spot here (overplayed in my opinion, whereas Bruce seems to generally be more tasteful in his soloing) and Paul undoubtedly came up with the main riffs.
