  • With the students a safe distance away, Dylan drives closer to the kitchen to get eyes on all the cats. It is quite unusual for the lions to come so close to the buildings - and not a place where we want them to get too comfortable. The female seems to be using the usually undesirable close proximity to humans and the buildings, to try and get the very horny male to leave her alone :) He seems quite determined however and decides to stick closely to her to guard his mate.
    Male Lions have a small window of opportunity to successfully pass along their genes - so this is serious business and he wont give up to easily.

    So as you can see they CLEARLY will waltz in those structures whenever they feel like it. I wouldn’t mind it as long as I’m far away from them.

    Put on a door if you don’t like intruders. Not that hard. How ridiculous. One day you will be the lions lunch.

    And what happens if a person is inside that building when lions can just walk through it. I would think doors are important so nobody gets killed.

    Might as well live under the stars as in a house with no doors and windows - houses are built for protection or why bother at all?

      @bhejanenaturetraining1018 no doors needed? I wonder if you would be saying that if you and your family were being mauled by lions in the house. You're insane

    No doors wtf? Also those people on the back of that little ass truck, wouldn't be hard at all for lions to snatch them off, I've seen lions take down giraffes

      @bhejanenaturetraining1018  ปีที่แล้ว

      Does it really look like a recently built house to you? The camp is actually a tented camp. That was an old house that burnt down. We are just using what remained of it as a camp kitchen. It used to be an old farmhouse before this was a game reserve.

    • @billbally4419
      @billbally4419 ปีที่แล้ว

      @bhejanenaturetraining1018 ok. But the house looked well constructed with wood and I still can't figure out why doors were not installed. At least block the doors with something. Cmon now

    • @bhejanenaturetraining1018
      @bhejanenaturetraining1018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Really? We have coexisted with them for thousands of years. We both have a right to be here. The whole argument about who is allowed to be where is silly. We can co-exist - as we are doing here. Sometimes we get to close to comfort for them, sometimes they get to close for comfort for us - but thats part of normal life!

    So, it's obvious exciting to see lion. Having them in camp is another situation.
    Before someone gets hurt or killed, BEFORE the real blood lust animals (lawyers) get involved, you gotta chase these kitty's away.

    • @bhejanenaturetraining1018
      @bhejanenaturetraining1018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is true yes. Dylan was having a bit of fun with the video but was actually also in there to try and chase them away so the students can get back into the camp safely. The cats did move off after spending about an hour in camp.

      @@bhejanenaturetraining1018 I was shallow reef diving off a boat in the Keys, and it was time to get back on board. But between our group and the boat's ladder was a huge 6 foot barricuda, the largest I'd ever seen...just hanging at the bottom of the ladder. Yeah, we patiently waited. He moved on in about 10 minutes. (We weren't about to try to shoo him away.)
