As was brought out in the very beginning of this case, fosters must have an income separate from that which would be received through fostering. As a single woman, you can adopt an embryo from the clinics that do the type called "embryo donation." There's no home study, background check, etc. Just some basic health tests required. I've done one anonymous embryo adoption, it didn't implant. So when I have the money, I shall try, try again! Until one survives or I age out in five years. There are over a million frozen embryos languishing in labs which are "left over" (ouch! what a legacy to give a child) from their bio parents' IVF journey.
You can adopt kids as a single woman from foster care. You just need to get a home study completed and approved, which does require a background check.
I hope a juror comes forward and let us know if there was one little idiot or two that wouldn’t agree to the second count . And it was this or a mistrial for the entire case. Because the inference was there period.

It is very troubling how fast children are removed, yet (here in the UK) children are constantly sent back to their parents who are abusive and often end up dead. Something is just not right with that at all. I heard a report on this case that said there was financial motivation to get those kids from the birth mother and to an adoptive/foster family. California is messed up they took my brother’s daughter. He did everything he could to get her back and they adopted her out. They wouldn’t let anyone in the family take her because we were in a different state and had to prove health insurance for her. But made it impossible for anyone to get health insurance on her my brother was a good dad.

The reason for a plea deal is to avoid a trial all together, as the prosecution and defense try to come to an agreeable and just sentence to avoid a trial altogether. Once the defendant(s) go through a trial the plea deals, if any, are no longer an option. They will now be sentenced by the Judge and the Judge only, nobody else has a say in their sentence at this point of the process.

It’s beyond me why Jacqueline did not try to make a plea deal in exchange for coming clean. Now, she will never have a romper chance of being with her children.

There was no chance of her turning against Trezell,who wasn't enough of a man to take the blame and save Jacqueline, however they both belong in jail for the rest of their lives. I doubt either one could be rehabilitated.

The judge did not call a mistrial…calling a mistrial would’ve been they couldn’t have come back with a verdict on other counts.
A HUNG jury on some counts doesn’t constitute a mistrial

It is very troubling how fast children are removed, yet (here in the UK) children are constantly sent back to their parents who are abusive and often end up dead. Something is just not right with that at all. RIP to these beautiful little boys and I hope the adoptive parents get all they deserve as baby killers when they go away..............for life hopefully.
They get sent back to their abusive parents then end up dead alllll the time over here in US too. Don’t let this case fool you. There are millions of others, such as Gabriel Fernandez case where he was showing visible signs of abuse, and cps just let him go back! Smh
@@sashamoore9691 Can't help wondering if by design at this point. Very sickening. In my initial post I meant removed when potentially not necessary, a nd given back when red flags are aplenty. I heard a report on this case that said there was financial motivation to get those kids from the birth mother and to an adoptive/foster family. It appeared to me it meant financial gain not only for the parents but for authorities and this is extremely worrying and disgusting at the same time.

In the USA children are removed from parents easily because they are cash cows. Those boys were used as income for adoption agencies and greedy adoptive parents, that don’t want to go to work. Which doesn’t happen in the UK because the parents of adopted children are expected to treat them as their own. There are not the same financial rewards, you are expected to really want to adopt a child because you want a child to love not for money. It’s not foolproof of course but it is more ethical
An hour away and you have the netherlands very similar to the US you have “CPS” but also a lot of sick parents who are aloud to foster or abuse their bio children. It doesn’t matter which country every system set up towards children is to make profit of the children. Uk probably doesn’t fund cps like other countries do. California is messed up they took my brother’s daughter. He did everything he could to get her back and they adopted her out. He isn’t even allowed to see her at all because the case worker didn’t think he respected women. Hopefully the people who adopted her are decent that’s all we can hope for. They wouldn’t let anyone in the family take her because we were in a different state and had to prove health insurance for her. But made it impossible for anyone to get health insurance on her my brother was a good dad.

So we have the death penalty, but a governor who won’t allow it and some DAs who won’t pursue “aggravating factors” that may enable death as a penalty. This is one reason a lot people do not vote for progressive Democrats (now mainstream Democrats); they don’t pursue true justice for victims. Consider that when you vote.

A plea deal is offered only before a trial. The reason for a plea deal is to avoid a trial all together, as the prosecution and defense try to come to an agreeable and just sentence to avoid a trial altogether. Once the defendant(s) go through a trial the plea deals, if any, are no longer an option. They will now be sentenced by the Judge and the Judge only, nobody else has a say in their sentence at this point of the process.
