Dresden are truly insane! They bought 30,000 to Berlin a few years ago against Hertha in the Pokal. Love it! I heard you’re back for the cup game between Hertha and Kaiserslautern? That’ll be also pretty insane. I’m Herthaner from the uk, I’ll be there. But this game also deserves some background too. It’ll be probably more insane than normal with the singing. At Hertha, we lost our president Kay Bernstein just 2 weeks ago when he unexpectedly passed away, he was only 43. The pain is deep for everyone because the DFB Pokal final is a dream for us, and was for him too. Kay was a founding member of our biggest ultras group and was their leader for years. He became president in 2022 and after so much chaos for years he brought new hope. A better direction where fans were the most important thing, his vision was to bring fans closer together, after years of chaos. And he achieved that, in his memory, Hertha fans vowed to continue what he started. He was one of us, was different to just any other president and was adored and loved by so many, and losing him was incredibly painful. So now we say ‘We try and win the Pokal for Kay’ . With always around 10000 fans in one of the oldest stadiums in Germany (1926) its a unique football experience which you might enjoy quite a lot
Dynamo Dresden and its K-Block is a class of its own, I bet you would have been even much more impressed if this match would have been something really special like a derby vs. Aue or a cup match, for example. But there are plenty of clubs in the 3rd tier of Germany with an excellent atmosphere. 1860 Munich whose stadium is always sold out because their traditional stadium's capacity is currently not more than 15,000. It’s the ‘cool’ club in Munich for the local residents, not an international brand like their fiercest rivals, FC Bayern. Then we have Rot-Weiss Essen in the Ruhr area, German champions of 1955 (a time when the Bundesliga has not been founded yet), and geographically right next to Dortmund, Schalke, Bochum, Duisburg...apropos Duisburg, the zebras of MSV were one of the original members of the Bundesliga when it was formed in 1963 and has spent so many years in the 1st tier, sadly struggling to avoid relegation to the 4th tier this season which is divided into five regional groups and semi-professional, some kind of non-league football so to say, so it’s very hard to get out of it once you drop out of the 3. Liga. Arminia Bielefeld, still a Bundesliga member just some years ago, a club with a stadium right inside a residential area like the old stadiums, a bit like in the old English stadiums, and still drawing big support. Waldhof Mannheim, the biggest rivals of Kaiserslautern, considered as a working class club drawing big support and part of the Bundesliga for many years a few decades ago. VfB Lübeck, a club playing in a harbour city with a beautiful city centre. Aside from the huge 2. Bundesliga, the 3. Liga in Germany is really impressive (regardless of some exceptions such as SC Verl or Sandhausen, the 'farmers clubs' of the league, Unterhaching, Viktoria Köln or FC Ingolstadt and the reserve teams of Bundesliga clubs Dortmund and Freiburg) and I hope you are considering watching another match in this league!
You should come back to Dresden at some point to watch a game against a different team with more away fans. The atmosphere will be completely different and it is way louder!:)
There a lot of great clubs with long tradition and amazing fans in Germany's third league. Essen and 1860 are right up there with Dresden. Since several of the 1st Bundesliga clubs are now investment projects of big corporation without a respectable fanbase, the really intense atmosphere with great fan support has sort of shifted to 2nd and 3rd league games.

Dynamo is a great Club who i want to see in the bundesliga as a dorrmund fan
Yes, you definitely have to go to Leipzig, namely Chemie Leipzig, which is in Leipzig in Leuth. In any case, leave a tip on this one, a good tip from me as a local.
Go to the Frankenderby in the second division 1 FC Nürnberg vs Fürth
You should go to an Antwerp game, would be awesome if you could show the fans to everyone and also just some games in the Belgian league since imo the belgian league is underrated
Finally! Yes they are the craziest! 3th division… imagine they play Champions League away in London. You could close the city they would destroy it
Went to dymano Dresden old ground around 30 years ago was just open terrace behind the goals
yes, this is where I always stood in my younger years 😅
no matter if it's raining or it's snowing, you stand there and do what you have to do
Respect from the Netherlands
Brilliant,Been to Dresden but not for football, been on my list for a while as well as 1FC Nuremburg, top stuff.
Hey,
this is the first video i´ve watched from you! but it was really well done! congratz :) My family and me will go to the game this wednesday in berlin as well (we support the guest team, as we are from that area). If you want we could meet beforehand, if you need any help or have questions let me know!
i can recommend you to go to a hsv vs st. pauli derby in the Volkspark stadium that's an atmosphere
Hey, I was in the stadium too. In the K-Block, that's the Ultras' block. The game was a bit weak 13+ corners (none really)... . But the atmosphere was great again
Dyanmo so geile Typen.
Are you going to Shrewsbury vs Cambridge ??
I'm from dresden and i'm a fan of SGD and I can't understand how you van lose with this atmosphare!
Ich freue mich so mies auf das Spiel gegen Essen! Nach über nem halben Jahr, wegen ner Verletzung, mal wieder im Stadion 🖤💛
Wanna see the most epic atmospheres? Werder Bremen vs Hamburg, FC Köln vs Borussia Mönchengladbach, the most violent derby ever, Hannover 96 vs Eintracht Braunschweig Schalke vs Borussia Dortmund, but Schalke are second division :/ Look at the regional derbies and you can find some pretty awesome matches
The city is empty there because you are on the shopping avenue xD On Sunday shops are closed. You have to go to the old city centre or to Neustadt.
My wife is from Dresden. I am from the Netherlands. I visit the game in Dresden when i can.
If you ever get to the Netherlands, visit de kuip in Rotterdam. Home of feyenoord. Similar vibes as in the Rudolf Harbig stadium in Dresden.
the abbreviation for Sportgemeinschaft Dynamo Dresden is 'SGD', not 'DRE'
In Germany we say: „Wenn de se vorne ne machst kriegst se hinten rein!“
the reason its quiet on Sunday is because all shops are closed on a Sunday
Frankfurt, Dresden, Schalke, Köln, Dortmund, Bremen, Hamburg, Mönchengladbach, Hertha BSC, Rostock are the Top 10 Fans in Germany
FC St.Pauli, 1 FC Kaiserslautern, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Arminia Bielefeld, Rot weiss Essen und Alemannia Aachen best stadion, too
You should come to the Derby against Aue the Atmosphere is on another level 🖤💛
Come to Karlsruhe (2nd German Division) some day... Maybe when they play against Hertha BSC at the end of April. Both fan bases have a deep friendship for decades and it'll be a great atmosphere! - Other good friends of the Karlsruhe Ultras are the fans of Racing Strasbourg - where you also have already been. :)
you need to go to frankfurt, magdeburg or rostock for more stuff like this
DYNAAAAAAMO DRES!!!DEN!!! ❤❤❤ THX MAID! GREAT! 😊😊😊
it was not the best game, to see our amazing fans
What an atmosphere quality vlog!
