Been watching you for years now. Went up to shasta this last weekend and did some trout fishing which is somthing I never do. Tried every lure I had to catch this massive trout who was dominating the pool. People gave up, nothing worked.. Until I brought out the jig head crawler which is somthing ive seen you do for years in so many spots.. You know who ended up catching the king of the pool? Your fucking boy because of you!! I used to almost exclusively fished for drumbuds when I was living on the gulf. We considered a small one to be 37 inches. I definitely have a soft spot for them.

So you work your ass off your whole life,then something happens and you pass,now, someone else is enjoying the fruits of your labor.. A suggestion my friend... Stop making work your focus in life,make the enjoyment of life,your work.. I was the same way,for years all I did was hang and finish drywall... When my brother died and I realized that all we ever do is work,my whole outlook on life changed....I don't know you but maybe after this you'll realize that if you die soon,you'll have spent the bulk of your life, enriching the lives of others...... STOP WISHING AND GO FISHIN..... MAKES NO SENSE TO DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO YOUR JOB....GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND...

I don't know if it would make a good video, but the hot part of summer was always my favorite time of the year for fishing. I would take my canoe to a lake in the mountains around 11pm-midnight and fish top water until daybreak. Exciting constant action and a surprising number of very large bass. Full and new moon are ideal but I don't know how easy it would be to film.

My grandma always told me when I was little to NEVER cross the creek under the bridge to the other side. She said that's where the hobo's lived. Apparenlty, she was right!! :-D The video of that tank you hooked last year was awesome. Losing a big one like that will always hurt. That's why you need to keep fishing and catch other big ones!
I don't hate drum,they are cool,put up a great fight and have rocks in there heads.so that's kinda cool in my book.as always great stuff man we stache holes appreciate you.
Black drum is pretty good to eat when I've caught them in salt water. It seems like the fresh water version are in the good to eat size range. Once they get massive I just put them back. I've only heard like 2 people who have eaten them and liked them from freshwater.

Went bass fishing the other week but the gar and bowfin were enmass...ended up with 25 4 to 7 lbs bowfin but yeah we definitely were playing with the gar...saw quite a few very large spotted boys but didn't have the gear to get on them.
I watch every vid josh your a great content creator and you were destined to do this for your full time job! Btw come over to Wisco in the fall I can catch you tons of trophy salmon and steelhead in Lake Michigan and rivers that flow into the big lake plus huge catfish!!
