    Can't believe Clowney was playing 5 tech and holding his own down in the trenches. If he never had microfracture I have no doubt JD and JJ would be the best defenders in the league

    I'm a SC fan who has seen JC play since high school. The guy is a freak of nature. He impacts EVERY play. There's so much he does that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. The fact that offensive coordinators have to gameplan around him is worth a lot in itself

    • @LAraiders88

      Trying real hard to justify his number 1 select..nice try

      He def needs to step up his play. So far he's a bust

    Hey man love your vids, I honestly thought I was the biggest Texans fan but you've definitely put me in my place. Please make more videos around the Texans, I would love to see your ideas of what else we need to do this offseason and in the upcoming draft. Would love to also hear your prediction for the Texans record next season and whether or not you believe we'll make the playoffs etc. Hope all goes well for your channel and looking forward to seeing your opinions about the Texans for next season.

    Excellent. After watching 42 years of NFL, you are my favorite analyst. that is saying A LOT!. Thanks for the Ram O line view...loved it...Gurley may have hof career if he stays healthy. I see: Marshawn, Dickerson, Fred Taylor and some other greats in him. Healthy, I may take him over Dickeson...And Gurley has hands....

    Just as a side note, on the stretch play where Clowney pushes Jamal Charles out of bounds for a loss short of the first down... Clowny doesn't make that play if Kareem Jackson doesn't blow up one of those blockers. Love the break down. Liked and subscribed!

      It was one game, remember rg3's first game?

    • @Joukoda
      @Joukoda 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Harry Douglas Of course I was only teasing. But there are several concerns Brett had with Mariota in his analysis earlier this year, which are more and more looking like no issues at all. Mariota looks great under center and his footwork on the dropbacks and throws looks very elegant, also looks comfortable throwing from the pocket. He hits his intermediate targets with pinpoint accuracy (which was one of Bretts concerns). Most impressive thing about this guy is that he stays cool, just does his job, doesn't talk too much or promise things, he just learns and picks it up (in comparison to a certain other rookie QB). Of course he will see worse gamedays and his ability to read complex defenses remains a concern, but I think Whisenhunt will do a great job gameplaning around him.

    The NFL needs to take out the offensive line diving at the defensive line player's knees.

    • @krunkcrabs
      @krunkcrabs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The defense also does it to the o line. I always see corners and safeties diving at o line men's knees, it's also very dangerous, maybe more so. They would have to take out both, and frankly the nfl wouldn't play the same if some bull happened like that.

      @LAraiders88 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Wink the Dboy Mack was the top rated LB from day 1 and the best run stopping LB as a rookie..year 2 all he did was become the first player to be all pro at 2 positions (DE/LB) Second in sacks last year behind jj watt..clowney a bust

    • @winkdboy
      @winkdboy 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      this man only played one year so this was his rookie year if you want to be technical. and for him to come back and play the way he did, and thats what you're missing from my comment. Mack played 2 full seasons Clowney didn't

    My favorite breakdown you have ever done was for Randy Gregory. You were spot on! I'm sorry, but maybe you should stop doing film on guys for your own team, because you end up sounding too biased and get too overly excited about your own players. If you do one on the Texans, Hopkins is the man ! Or, of course, JJ.
    But when it comes to Clowney, I think you have a lot of wishful thinking when it comes to your early praise of him. Take for instance your comment about him beating Jamaal Charles to the edge at about 8:20 in this video. REALLY!? Come on now, could you really not see that Charles was not trying his hardest to get to the edge and was looking down-field for a cutback lane?
    The only reason I criticize you on your Mallet video and this one is because I have seen you do a breakdown better then anybody else on TH-cam, so when I see you now get lazy and overzealous about your own team, it is just disappointing to watch you waste the eye that you do have.
    If you really wanted to, you could build up a very strong following and could make a career doing something like this, but not if you swing and miss like I have seen you do when breaking down your favorite team.

    • @OGTirpleOG
      @OGTirpleOG 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He stood the 250+ pound TE up with one arm then ragged dolled him after the play. Most players use two arms to do that. He also had 4 tackles and a TFL. He helped Jj watt get a sack and a couple of TFLs. Plus hes coming off of a career ending surgery and he did all of this while playing JUST 30 snaps. Most games a player will play 60+ snaps. So yes, you should be very impressed
