The Copdock show is open to all. There is a separate car park for cars. I have read your comments on the previous episode and Tayms reply. I would say go to as many Bike Shows or shops as you can, sit on Bikes, try them for size and get an idea of what you like. Then take your test asap and get out there before the weather changes. 👍

Have to agree. I never understood the love for the CBX1000, it looks out of proportion whereas the Z13 looks just right to me. I rode one once and it was silky smooth and sounded like a Helicopter.

BSA V twin TAYM was that ever in production ? never heard a sausage about that one , so much beautiful stuff classic oh and I glimpsed an Aerial Arrow the first bike I ever rode wow !!. you could spend a good day just in the bike park outside I'll bet there were some good ones there as well . I got chatting to a chap a few years ago who had two BSA V-Twins. He said that they were mostly used for pulling sidecars. And my memory might be playing tricks but I was fairly certain he said it only had 3 gears but I just Googled them and it says they have 4. Perhaps they did different variants.😮

Well you fairly gave us a bit of everything there, the ride to Copdock, a great selection of new bikes, the stunt show, some real vintage bikes, the owners club selection, Mrs TAYM eying up her future steed, the thousands of bikes on the way out and the ride home. I think the Triumph special just pips it over the Z1300 as my favourite, yet I have to agree that the RE 500 Trials was indeed appealing. Thanks for the mention 👍 I prefer my Triple Black " Black Beauty" to the chrome version of the Rocket and if I wasn't me I'd be jealous of myself 😂 I think you should try the GT with the forward pegs, just so you can be sure you don't prefer the more relaxed ergonomics 🤔😏😮😄
The barn find moto rumi (tipo sport) scooter might have been my dads. He bought one in 74 and never used it. I used to hotwire it and ride it to school in '76. It left a blue smoke screen down westgate street and up st andrews street.
what a marvellous show TAYM definitely one I'm going to have to make the effort to get to at some point although I think it'll have to be an overnighter to get a full day in. I think Mrs TAYM is definitely struck with that Rocket I think Christmas is coming you'd best get saving 🤣🤣🤣
What a grand bike show, Kids in candy stores, that what we’d all be, walking the show. There were so many cool classic bikes to go with the new lineups.🤩👍 Looks like Mrs TAYM will be adding the Rocket to the household soon! 😎

My mate got one of those 750 Bonnie Special with alloys in brown & gold.There was a British bike shop in Hastings & owner had one HE done 1500km on then mounted on wall in shop.When shop shut down in 1990's he sold it to my mate who still has it 15000km & been offered heaps for it but won't sell it.Also got a souped 750 Bonnie which is 900 something cc & a Apprillia HE usually rides with us.Kev who died a year ago had a 1979 750 Bonnie Special too but sold it to get a Harley 20yrs ago same colour scheme must of only came in brown & gold with alloys.Flatmate got a 350 Hunter Cub at HIS dad's as we don't have room.
Great show. Bikes Bikes Bikes. BTW, if you ever use any type of tinned food that comes in 4"/9,5cm tins and require a tin opener. Open with a safety opener and carry a lid in every piece of m/c clothing (and wife's bag). You will never be without something for your side stand.
702TRX out in UK now TAYM 🦒 get out on that. That is what the TRX is a 702cc 698cc & there is a 800TRK 754cc apparently too. There is a road version 702 & a ADV version too.
A great overview Taym. Really gives a flavour of what the day is like. I rode up from the Southwest early on Sunday morning to go there. I thought i might see you there but didn't. I stayed in Sudbury for two nights then moved onto Norfolk. I did then see you at Old Buckenham with your glamorous assistant/slave labour filming.😂 Couldn't say hello as i was mid conversation with a chap i hadn't seen for 31 years. Next thing i saw you leaving. Following day went to the Motorcycle museum at North Walsham. Worth a look but quite small and the bikes are very packed in close together so difficult to see them properly but some interesting machines there (Twin engined BSA and some Heinkel scooters catching my eye). Thursday night sitting outside pub, saw lots of bikes going by and discovered a bike meet just outside Yarmouth at a place called the Old Smokehouse. That was a nice bonus and then Friday went to a meet at Whitwell railway yard (Norfolk). A lovely assortment of machines there too so overall a really Motorcycle oriented week away. You might like to check out some of these places before the weather changes for good. I think the Stafford Bike show claims to be the UK's largest classic bike event but i haven't yet been so can't say. However i think Copdock is fantastic and prefer it to the Bristol Classic Show which is held in February and mostly indoors. If any marshalls or volunteers from Copdock are reading this I'd like to say thanks for all the work and effort you put in. Cheers. 👍 Ps. Frank's is based in Colchester and open 7 days a week. They have a Cafe and regular Bike meets. Tomboy_a_bit did a feature about the shop on her channel recently.

We might see you riding a Husqvana Svartpilen 401 from Lings then at some point 👍. The new Beezers looked pretty good at Copdock. I was hoping that you would wait for the Evil Knievel guys to do a triple summersault 😁. Wonderful entertainment with all of those old bikes. I loved the Excelsior Manxman. I learned to ride on a Benelli 350 that had the Honda 350/4 in it. What a tonic that video was! 👍👍. Mrs all Year Round likes that Rocket and it is just a short test away!
What a shame you and the Fredster didn't meet up Mind you a meet up with the all-knowing one (Uncle Stu) would have been even better I must confess to not watching all of this because of it's length although what I did watch was marvellous as ever. I cant love the BSA having seen at the bike show at NEC. Triumphs looked so much better and RE stand outshone both. What a fab show and not so buy that you can’t walk or see what you want to. I am 64 and I can’t help but wax Lyrical about older machines that I either owned once upon a time or drooled over. Have you ever thought of doing reviews of 2nd hand bikes? Suppose dealers hard to convince but may help sell bike. My local college opened an evening motorcycle maintenance course and had 1 application!!! Where I live there were numerous dealers over a radius of 30 miles - now just 2. Best show anywhere made nec look pants which it was I thought.

The reason HD owners put their air filters out like that is to get them out in the wind away from the heat my mates do it. On Breakout that could be Stock on my mates bikes they get aftermarket air filter housing to put further out from motor & into wind.
Mrs TAYM 🦒 fancies that Rocket 🚀 3 watch out🤣. I did a video & couple of Rockets pulling up & when they parked up did another video of bikes & at end of video there's a Rocket 🚀 3 2500cc with YEAH written on the side of tank.

My mate had a Hayabusa a older one 2009 & done like 340k & been around NZ 🇳🇿 a few times apparently good for 500k if looked after.He's one of the Harley boy's I kick around with & got a shock when saw that in HIS shed as all the Harley boy's are Harley or nothing types.I was glad to see he liked all sorts of different bikes like me.The other Harley boy's don't like Japanese bikes he doesn't care😁😆😂🤣.

I cant love the BSA having seen at the bike show at NEC. Triumphs looked so much better and RE stand outshone both. What a fab show and not so buy that you can’t walk or see what you want to. I am 64 and I can’t help but wax Lyrical about older machines that I either owned once upon a time or drooled over. Have you ever thought of doing reviews of 2nd hand bikes? Suppose dealers hard to convince but may help sell bike. My local college opened an evening motorcycle maintenance course and had 1 application!!! Where I live there were numerous dealers over a radius of 30 miles - now just 2.

The reason HD owners put their air filters out like that is to get them out in the wind away from the heat my mates do it.
On Breakout that could be Stock on my mates bikes they get aftermarket air filter housing to put further out from motor & into wind.

My mate had a Hayabusa a older one 2009 & done like 340k & been around NZ 🇳🇿 a few times apparently good for 500k if looked after.He's one of the Harley boy's I kick around with & got a shock when saw that in HIS shed as all the Harley boy's are Harley or nothing types.I was glad to see he liked all sorts of different bikes like me.The other Harley boy's don't like Japanese bikes he doesn't care😁😆😂🤣.
