I own this watch and love it. A great watch for a for an extremely reasonable price. The bracelet and the clasp are outstanding, and the watch keep good time as well.
Most of Nh34 gmt hands seem to be misaligned. This one is fraction off. Set the gmt to 9. Reset the minute hand to 12. The hour hand will not be noticeable, no need to remove. I have done it on two units
I love the 3D logo on the clasp. Rolex does it on the Explorer II, so why not Steeldive? Also, it gives you an easier way to get your fingernail underneath it to open the clasp.
Corrosion resistance leads watch companies who expect case or bracelet exposure to seawater to grade 316L (PRE 24.3) or 904L (PRE 36.7) austenitic stainless steel and other steel alloys with higher Pitting Resistance Equivalent factors (PRE-factors). More basic grade 304 stainless steel has a lower PRE of about 19. Mounting a bracelet with a superior corrosion resistance is no good engineering idea, as the case can function as a galvanic anode, or sacrificial anode (corrosion will occur on the case). Sacrificial anodes are intentionally applied near ship propellers to protect hem and the ship's hull against corrosion. Rinsing a diving watch in fresh water after use in seawater, or leaving a diver's watch in fresh water overnight are good methods to protect the watch from corrosion and to keep crowns, bezels, buttons and pressure sensors on digital ones working.
Thanks. I really like the legibility of this watch with the white dial. I bought one. :) I also bought the Addiesdive quartz version, which has become my new beater for everyday wear.
To be honest and completely straight forward. The watch by Steel Dive looks good with three downside areas in my observation. Number 1 the clasp with the small SD logo not cool or really necessary, the polished case sides not my favorite as a better option with brushed sides to the case would have made it more tool like and mill clasp looks like a cheap end $70 watch. Steel Dive cut a few corners here with this particular GMT when it they had not they could easily have charged an extra $25 for a better design with myself and at least 250 new orders to be in place.
Some images on the company's website show polished indices and in some images the indices appear painted black. Which is it? Also, the description of the watch on the website indicates that the case and bracelet are actually 316L - not 904L. I think it is the case that many factories are using this misleading stretch wrap on the watches, despite telling the truth on the product description of the watch. In your video, the bracelet looks like 316L and not 904L. It is on sale now, with bracelet, for $149. It is even less, $139, with rubber strap.
Rendered pictures are always different from an actual watch. I think it's good to have this video as a reference. About the steel material.. I think it's all 316L. They definitely wouldn't make just a few of them using 904L. Maybe they ran out of old wraps, don't know :D

It’s for people who spend time in caves and don’t know if it’s daytime or nighttime outside. Different purpose than a traveling watch. The Rolex Explorer 2, which this is a copy of, looks the same.
@@justmeeagainn yes it indeed resembles the Explorer. I mixed them up. But after I looked into it a bit more, the rotating bezel always for 3 time zones at once. Using only the GMT hand, two is still possible ofcourse :)
@@vincentferreira1135 yes I am aware of that now. I mixed the Explorer II and GNT Master II up, as I said before. But you are totally correct about this being a homage to the Explorer II which doesn't rotate :)

I just want to say that I'm clicking on "Don't recommend this channel". I can't genuinely take serious a review of someone who doesn't even wears a watch. You receive it and don't even take off the stickers and plastic because you're gonna instantly sell it so, why even bother? Pretty lazy IMO.
As a person who cares about the environment, I understand you perfectly! I can't stand plastics too! Please don't watch if it hurts your feelings. Mental health is very important 🙏

904L is the rolexs steel watches, so that is a nice improve in my opinion.
Unfortunately, only some people receive 904L. Seems like they ship it randomly 😓

the new clasp seems to be really nice compared to the old model , steeldive please change for the new one 🙏🏻
I'm pretty sure you can ask for this bracelet when ordering any other sub 20mm
Yeah, that bracelet is NOT 904L steel. Says on their website that it’s 316L steel 👍
Well.. Maybe they changed it by now already

Great! I've just bought the SD1993. Now I'm going to have to get this one. Is this their "homage" to the Rolex Explorer 2?
Yes😊
Why they did not do the black indexis so as it will mimics the true homage for explorer 2.
Maybe that's the exact reason haha
Rolex uses 904 stainless steel. There is 0.1% chance this is actual 904. Just a sticker saying so doesn’t make it so
Hmm.. Is it more expensive material?
It’s not. Says in the specifics on Steeldives website that it’s 316L steel 👍

Just a watch case😊
Hi what difference between pagani design PD 1762 and Corgeut same movment seiko NH 34 ??
I trust Pagani more. It's not a 100% good quality, but definitely better than Corgeut
So the bezel doesn't rotate for keeping time in two timezones like the real Rolex GMT does?
