I wonder how qualified the air traffic controller in charge of the helicopter frequency was? The plane was on instrument landing approach and was controlled by the aircraft frequency controller. Helicopters are a higher frequency and have another controller. That is where the error occurred. My understanding is that this was a military training flight and the helicopter pilot was instructed to pass behind the approaching jet. The investigation will tell if it was the helicopter pilot error, the helicopter frequency controller error, or both. The Helicopter did receive instructions to pass behind the incoming plane, so I believe the pilot trainee will be found at error for this.

It is also well known that hundreds of very qualified applicants were turned away because of their skin color. Its not up for debate. That is fact. The FAA was proud of it. They did studies to determine how much loss of performance was acceptable to obtain and maintain diversity goals and quotas, in a field where no loss of performance is acceptable. They even changed the entrance exam questionnaire, and then showed dei activist groups the best way to game the questionnaire to get their preferred candidates applications chosen. I wonder how qualified the air traffic controller in charge of the helicopter frequency was? The plane was on instrument landing approach and was controlled by the aircraft frequency controller. Helicopters are a higher frequency and have another controller. That is where the error occurred. My understanding is that this was a military training flight and the helicopter pilot was instructed to pass behind the approaching jet. The investigation will tell if it was the helicopter pilot error, the helicopter frequency controller error, or both. The Helicopter did receive instructions to pass behind the incoming plane, so I believe the pilot trainee will be found at error for this.

They did studies to determine how much loss of performance was acceptable to obtain and maintain diversity goals and quotas, in a field where no loss of performance is acceptable.
They even changed the entrance exam questionnaire, and then showed dei activist groups the best way to game the questionnaire to get their preferred candidates applications chosen.
