    It's great to hear your confidence grow, sounds like you talk much more openly now.

      I discovered somewhere around the Houndour video that the more fun I'm having, the more it seems to come through in the videos. So I am actively messing with ideas and letting my crazy inner voice reign free :) FREE I TELLS YA!!

    Great news, somehow I missed this one and your clefairy video during my mega binge :D

      Ahh Tauros. The first Round 2 completion on the channel. I'm looking forward to re running him a year later :)

    Gen I ormal type movesets were completely absurd, in a fun way (Tauros using water pulse is inherently amusing, to me). It's nice to see Tauros get some love out of its debut generation.
    Overall, this was a fun run. I felt like you explained everything you needed to (Bulbasaur/Venusaur for the rival, for example) to make the run interesting and informative. You did good work!

    • @Eggsceptional
      @Eggsceptional  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gen 1 normal movesets were the best! Nothing says "I'm a plains living wild bull" like the ability to call down lightning from the sky or breathe fire. Tauros was a ton of fun to play I'm glad you enjoyed watching.
      Thanks for your support!

      @tylerd1297 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont think that is Gen 1 specific, Normal types through many generations later have the same move. This is just my theory, but its possible they give Normal types amazing coverage to compensate for no super effective coverage.
      Which ends up being useless on stuff like Tauros and Kanghaskhan that have bad Special Attack.

      @@Eggsceptional I have a tabletop group I've been playing with for years 3 of them been playing with for over 20 years now we are currently playing the Pokemon united fan made game and planned for after we finish is the Dresden files game.

      @@Dragonmaster0118 That's so cool!!! I haven't tried any Pokémon adaptations to TTRPGs that sounds like a lot of fun. I've DMed for a small group of friends but lately Pokémon and TH-cam have consumed my life so the story is on hold for a bit :)

    Regarding Gengar's moveset I'd say that shadow ball and sludge bomb despite being physical would be almost competitive with thunderbolt and psychic.
    STAB is valuable.

    • @Eggsceptional
      @Eggsceptional  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are correct! I've been trying lately to avoid falling into the "one stat is higher therefore better" way of thinking. With that being said, Gengars SpA doubles its Atk. I've been hurt pretty badly by her Ace Gengars Sludge Bomb since the Tauros runs :)

      Ooooh I quite like that one. Please be patient with me for it though. I'm trying to save another Tauros playthrough until the 1 year anniversary of my Tauros video. It was my first Round 2 push and I'd like to see what a year of playing Pokémon taught me :) I've added it to the list thanks for the suggestion!

    why did they not give you Bulk Up Tauros 🤷‍♀️ I didnt realize it was so mediocre.
    I personally wouldnt be against the use of other Pokemon to sponge Intimidate and die in 1 turn. I understand though 1 pokemon in the e4 is the established rule in this content lol.

    • @Eggsceptional
      @Eggsceptional  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was confused by that too! I had such high hopes for Tauros because he's such a beast but felt so limited on a solo run. These runs would be so different with multiple Pokémon, or switching out to get rid of stat changes, avoid Intimidates like you said, confusion, etc. I've had some suggestions for team style challenges that I'll be exploring soon enough!
