    Do you have the latest OTK document for seat posistion for various height drivers for the 2022 401RR OK (1045) chassis that you can post?
    During seat setup, do you typically offset the seat by 5mm (front of seat lip to front hoop) or not worry about it?

    • @pontiacwssix
      @pontiacwssix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or what you recommend for 6' tall (1829mm) person? How far back from front hoop and how deep from chassis rails?

    Hi there, good video :) only thing I would ask is what difference the back height makes from the axle. Is this more for driver comfort or would you set a lower back height to get more rear grip? Generally I start with a neutral seat running the base of it flat to the plane of the chassis. Never tried reclining it. :)

      Hey Kyle, thanks for tuning in! inclined seat will lower the shoulders and also angle the hips forward. Great for tall drivers or mega sticky tyres with a kart that is hopping. Otherwise set them flat with the chassis rail like we do on most karts and focus in on the tyre pressures

    hi Derek thanx mate for the great vids bought a kosmic 2 weeks ago n have not stop watching . have a question how do you prime up a x30 motor without using ya mouth /????? AND i have set my new style ehaust up and it is pointing at my left rear tyre is this normal ???thank you

      hey bro, thanks for tuning in. yeah, crank the engine with the airbox off and put your hand over the front of the carb to seal it off.
      make a spacer out of some alloy and use a longer bolt to lift the exhaust cradle up away from your back tyre.
      hope that helps

    Your old method worked for me, that jig seems pointless unless your fitting alot of seats. The hard part was figuring out how to work under the kart as the 2 base mounts are awkward to reach and mark. Once those were done, everything else was a simple matter of fixing the base bolts on the rubber mounts, chopping those bolts to avoid dragging on the ground, and marking the rest and drilling out to fit. The rubber mounts made a big difference to the vibration through the seat as well and meant i can actually see while wearing glasses, which was impossible before (they would shake so much everything blurred, and at the end of a straight that is not good).

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Damien, at 193 you will have to go way back, maybe 655-660mm from the front edge of the seat to the chassis rail. and move your pedal all the way forwards. another thing you could do is tilt your seat backwards slightly too.

      I like flush with the chassis rails, but most people will tell you that 5-10mm below the rails for someone your size. I like this too until I hit some bumps or run off the track and then crack the arse out of the seat.
