Hi Miss, Thanks for watching and for your comment. You are like most turners that try using chucks. I never use chucks. I can turn faster, bigger, and safer with a faceplate or glue block. Why should I live with the limits of a chuck?? There are other things that contribute to work coming off the lathe. I suggest you see my Bowl Basics DVD. It outlines all the foundation elements of turning, no more catches, no more torn out grain, no more vibration etc, etc. Guarantee it will change the fun you have in the shop. Thank you for your wisdom Lyle, new to turning bowls. I have a four jaw chuck and my blanks keep flying off. Not sure why.
