This is an example of a HPP (High Performance Person). Shes a brain surgeon and her high executive functioning means she can plan and execute a lot during the day. Good for her for having the skill to live life as such a functioning person and a have a life well lived with purpose that requires a developed skillset not everyone has the discipline or ability to obtain. She would be a fantastic role model as a mother to any kid.

Being a good mother requires a bit different skillset. Mostly beijg present and warm with the child, not necessarily super ambitious and grinding.

You worked hard for your profession and I love that you found a good balance of self care and work balance. Medical profession is no joke and I respect what you do and the fact that you wake up extra early to get your needs met first before caring for the world.

My neurosurgeon was like this. He was considered one of the best neurosurgeons in the country, ran daily, trained for marathons, studied judo, he even wore ankle weights as he walked around the hospital and to each appointment. Then one day, he killed his wife, put her in a suitcase, threw her over a bridge and told police that she left their home on her own, wearing pyjamas. Being a perfectionist in so many aspects can sound so inspiring to those of us who just don’t function like that, but the truth is, some people judge their success based on how well they perform and juggle everything and then crash badly when one aspect of their life goes downhill. He was abusive to his wife, who was also a doctor and she was just about to leave him. He couldn’t imagine that kind of “failure” so he killed her. He’s serving his sentence right now and will likely be paroled at the end of his mandatory prison sentence. What a waste. He gave hope to so many of his patients but made his home a living nightmare for his wife and children. Beware of high performing individuals like him. They thrive when everything is smooth sailing but they aren’t prepared for things to go off the rails.
