GA SILVER HUNTER: I’m picking up 5 sealed boxes from my local chase bank tomorrow that they ordered for me last week. I usually order 1 or 2 at a time but my last 8-10 boxes I have had no silver at all so I’m hoping my luck takes a turn!! There is a known error, 1971 d that has a “wrong stock” planchette error. The coin was struck from a sheet of metal that was intended to be struck to make quarters. That particular error coin weighs 8.8 grams and it supposedly is quite valuable. Love all your coin roll hunting videos and that document is priceless! 👊🏼 👏🏼
Was doing some clean up today going through some old boxes. Found probably $38 in change that doesn't include the 23 wheat/copper pennies and the best find of the night was a toned Merc! My first every! Can't make out the date as of yet, need some magnification.
It's always nice to when stuff like this happens. I had a friend who found something silver and knew I was into it and he gave me a Booker T Washington Commemorative Half that he had floating around because he was never going to "do anything with it."
I have 24" under counter lights that I picked up at home depot or office depot. I built a wooden frame that 30" wide and 18-24" tall. I have a undercounter light on the front and back part of frame. I also have a photographers light off to the side to help with shadows.
That 72 is interesting. Just last week I found a similar one weight of 10.54 grams, sounded almost like plastic....I am kicking myself for not keeping it now.....1993D....I really hope you find out what it is and share with us. I mentioned last week that I pick up 8 boxes of halves every Wednesday and 2 boxes of quarters. Three weeks ago I actually found 117 NIFCS between 3 boxes, all 2010, both P and D, and all mint state. I tubed them all for my collection. Also with those were 15 proofs all dated 1971 and I got 14 silvers that week! Many weeks I get very little so it just proves that you never stop hunting! Thanks for the great videos!
I usually show it off when I find one. A magic coin is actually two hollowed out halves of a half dollar that fit perfectly together. It's called Scotch and Soda as a magic trick if you want to look it up. Retail they cost $30-$50.
I have found a number of those lightweight 1972-P half dollars-all in the same weight range. They are not struck on quarter stock. They would weight quite a bit less. Struck on thin stock but not quarter srock. Not worth much of a premium, if any.
This hobby is addicting and great to be a part of. After 30+ years of collecting I said I'd never do Kennedy half dollars. Low and behold I have started an album. I already have the 64 - 2000 P&D and most of the NIFCs. I'm being picky about those NIGCs. Great video as always. It's fun to hang out with you. When you find silver, I feel as though we all found silver
Nice boxes! Pretty cool finding the 1987 I still haven’t found one yet. Im taking your advice and ordered three boxes this week. Great video as always!
Definitely not a magic coin. I showed the difference in sound. Probably should have shown the magic coin broken apart for those that don't know what it is. This light planchet does seem to be pretty common though. I have looked a bit more since making the video. Still not sure if there is any value there... doubt it.
Those Dang 71s and 74s always tricky looking like 40%
Way too often. I weigh all of those too just to make sure they aren't silver planchet.
@@GASilverHunter I’ve started weighing mine as well. Never fails tho I will be super stoked thinking I found a 40%er and nope just a 71 or 74. Lol

I thought that’s what this might be but it’s a bit heavy for that.

Enjoyed the search. Wishing you continued success
Thank you much sir. Wish we could have found a bit more, but it's better than a skunk!
@@GASilverHunter skunks do happen like the three boxes I had this week, but that’s just part of the process. Always looking forward to the next box.
Thanks for taking us on your treasure hunt!!! Great info, and subscribed !!!!
Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching!
Always happy to hear from the south. Hope this finds you well. I thank you for your time. 😎
Thanks, you too!
WOW! I always hoped I'd find an 87! Still hunting!
Fun finds for sure!
Well still waiting for the next find😂
Yeah... the 87 was really the only "find" in these 2 boxes. But the NIFCs are not technically supposed to be there. 😜
What kind of overhead light do you use?

I found a 1964-D penny. With the L error. Recently started checking my Pocket change. because of your videos. What are you using for magnification?
I have a jewelers loop that use from time to time. I mainly use one of the two microscopes listed in the description of my videos.
Thank you very much

You probably had a magic coin if it felt like plastic or “fake”. Nice job on the NIFC dump.
Not sure exactly what a magic coin is or it's purpose....unless you're saying it was actually used in magic shows which I m guessing

Hi GA Silver Hunter, it's Jordan thanks for posting this coin roll hunt videos.

Thanks! I appreciate you taking a little time out of your week to hang out with me.
Hey the other day I got a 2009 s from the bank but I must have slipped out a proof set anyway i saved it
Well... those things don't "slip" out of the proof set... but its still an awesome find in the wild!
Interesting. I have no logical guess as to why that half is so light.
Nice boxes! Pretty cool finding the 1987 I still haven’t found one yet. Im taking your advice and ordered three boxes this week. Great video as always!
Volume matters. Never buy just 1 lottery ticket if the odds are 1:3.4... buy 4. Same logic.
1972s frequently come light, it is NOT a magic coin. It’s a light planchet/quarter stock, I’ve found many many 1972s with this

@@GASilverHunter probably not, they seem pretty common
the bicentennial has been spooned! seen it b4. take the back of a spoon and smack the coin ..about 1000 times. has no value.

Litterally makes me excites for a split second
