I have this one, "Made in Japan" version. I swapped out the movement for an NH36 so it hacks and hand winds. I've regulated it to within around 4 seconds a month. I then had it pressure tested with a certificate. I'm delighted with it - the lume lasts all night long.
It's a great watch. I bought it almost 4 years ago and love it. The double-deck dial is awesome. It adds a lot of depth and a 3D look. I swapped the 7S36 movement for an NH36 almost immediately. It's a straightforward swap - no additional tools are needed, and it makes the watch complete. Adding a double-domed sapphire crystal is still on my to-do list - I can't wait. Whether you see the watch up close or from a distance, you can't tell the price, and it looks solid on the wrist with the right strap. As a wedding photographer, I've seen lots of high-end watches, including the PP Nautilus. But when you compare it to the SNZG15, it's hard to justify the x100 price tag. Maybe it's just for the brand, status, and the finish of the movement if you ever look inside. But your president proved otherwise! The funny thing is, the more time this watch spends on the wrist, the more accurate it becomes. The case is unique - fingerprints won't ever bother you! Its steel might not be the right choice for someone who prefers a bracelet. To each their own.
@@sergeyusik9934 I agree - with the NH36 swapped into it, it's the perfect watch. The lume is outstanding. I really like the mirror -flat glass too. A brilliant watch.
I picked up this watch after my trip to Abu Dhabi for the 2023 Formula One Race. I picked it up in the USA via Amazon (I ordered it while still in the UAE, and it was waiting when I arrived ). I have own the Seiko for 3 days now, and have not taken it off. Dial and hands are very easy to read. Size is perfect.
I believe this is the same case as the Arabic dial SNKP21J1, which I own, thanks to your review. That said, given the current transition Seiko undergoes from affordable quality, bang-for-buck models, to way more expensive re-issues, including the Seiko 5 Series, I can only suggest to buy the remaining old stock and keep' em in a safe place. I have quite expensive watches, such as a pre-V Panerai, Tudor FXD MN, Omega Moon Watch, but I've been wearing my Seiko for most of the week, and I"m loving it. These old Seikos make fantastic every day watches, and they will last forever. Invest $44 (US) in a double-domed Saphire crystal (CT078) and if you ever encounter problems with the movement, install a NH36, which is winding and hacking, and you'll have a watch for life, literally!
It's a fun timepiece, I'm enjoying mine. Pity this model doesn't come with the Indo/Arabic numerals, for this reason, I may get the SNKP21J despite being only 50m.
Make sure it’s fully wound first and check again, then try to get it demagnetised - this usually works for fast running movements. If not then take it to a watch repair shop to have it regulated - 5 minute job for any watchmaker

Beautiful watch
My favorite thing about this watch is the size of the red tipped seconds hand.

I own the k1 version ... do you still have J1 models to sell ?
Hi, yes they can be pre-ordered here: svkwatches.ae/products/seiko-snzg15j1-presidential-pre-order
I bought a seiko 5 sports Model NZE83 Automatic two months ago and the time runs 2 to 3 minutes fast. What is the solution for this.
