I love the idea of putting a lot of features into a small, elegantly designed device. Doesn’t look like this quite gets there but maybe on the next iteration.
That's my hope. I absolutely love compact solutions and so many companies are currently coming out with a lot of exciting options, especially in the cable department. If this product somehow integrated some of the resistance solutions out there rather than using magnetic resistance, it could be really cool.
Props to you for being honest and not simply doing a commercial for the company because they sent you a free piece of equipment. I'm so tired of seeing reviewer sellout videos. You will never use it but hey sit it in the corner and you have a good conversation piece when company comes over.
I saw this Kickstarter about a month ago and was almost tempted to support it because I, too, am pressed for space. But it doesn't look like it's quite where it needs to be yet. Maybe by 2.0.
This review makes my backer status in doubt :) I wonder why the other reviewers didn’t mention the fact that there is no way to adjust to resistance and that it basically stays at 0…
@@MattRosenmanthis is their reply (what’s your opinion about this if I may ask?) “We truly thank for the video from Matt! And he has provided us some valuable suggestions! We have talked within our team and decided to add a stopper ball at the end of the carabiner so that you can pull the rope easier. Regarding the resistance for seated cable flys, our rowing machine is with concentric mode. You'll experience more resistance when rowing and less when returning. The seated cable fly shares this same resistance structure with rowing part. And if you want to maintain a target resistance, a consistent motion is actually needed.”
@@glennvandammeI read this reply too, and honestly think it is a very weird reply. When working out you definitely want to have resistance both ways, as Matt explains. But somehow they’re almost saying it’s nonsense…. So yeah, this also really makes me doubt my backer status. The fact they say it like this makes me think there is no way for them to change the product to fix this, without going back to the drawing table. I really love the idea and the fact that it looks quite decent. But I don’t want it to be a very expensive chair..
I'm not sure what the best option would be for UK because most options here dont ship internationally. Look up "wall mounted pulley towers" and see what comes up near you- there should be a handful of similar options
@@MattRosenman could u search mirror fit cable tower and would that work the same with the jammer arms and the lat pull down trick u used in ur other vid and as a weight rack for barbell please bro I really need help
This looks like a gimmick. The fact that you dont get any resistance, defeats the enitire purpose of using cables, which is to maintain constant tension. You are better of buying a much cheaper ottoman that matches your couch, jajajaja.
Yeah, the cable portion is definitely an afterthought here. I can see people getting excited about the “all in one” possibilities but like you said, the main purpose of using cables just isnt there

My first thought is Jack of all trades but a master at none
Definitely not far off

🤷♂️ Maybe I’m doing something wrong somehow, but I’ve been playing with it for a few weeks and have the same result each time
@@MattRosenman thanks for this review though! I hope JOYSONG can give a fair and honest reaction to this!

No stopper on the cable is insane...
It TECHNICALLY exists…just on the wrong side of the wheel 😅
My thought is How many times did you say resistance 😂
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
😂 extra credit if you want to count them for me
This does not look good at all. Best use is as a gym table lol
😆 hey it's a comfortable seat, too.
I agree. I felt bad for the company as I was watching the review. I thought man some people put a lot of work into this and it’s a dud.
It looks like something that could be good just not there yet. . It is cool to see how technology is improving the home gym community

@@MattRosenman By the way, I appreciate the honesty in the review. Keep it up.
Thanks looks like garbage. Are those adjustable weights good?
Anytime I hear a pitch that it can replace every other tried and true machine I always laugh with hearing the worst marketing pitch. Haha
Ron Burgandy gets it.
