Wow! Thanks for sharing this! It is very late for me but was so good it ministered to me as if my late dad had told me this so I feel healed of the lack of a dad syndrome. I shared this with a youth pastor in hopes that he would listen to it and suggest it to the one in charge but idk if they will but I also shared it with a young woman who also had no father figure making a valued input in her spiritual and sexual life to teach her these things. May you thrive in ministry and stay pure in Christ.

The 30 day wait period is a great thing. It should be super hard and crazy expensive to GET married. Make people think it thru save people the heart ache and real money. If it is not real love they won’t go thru the wait or money to do it. Win in my book!!

Continued… highest potential, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be perfect, it doesn’t mean there’s not going to always be room for improvement. What it means is that you are striving to be your best you and then you are trying to bring your best you to the table when you are dating, which again, will increase your ability to receive the person who’s truly best for you. So, do not accept mediocrity in areas that need to be improved. Do not make excuses for your flaws out of the name of well, I love myself just how I am. If you love yourself, you want to give yourself the best, you want to give yourself at a higher level, a higher quality of life. And that means working and addressing those issues, that means taking care… taking better care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, that means making sure that you’re not holding on to negative energy. All of these things encompass you truly loving yourself and embracing what you truly deserve. But not just loving yourself, know yourself. Because again, the mistakes so many people make before they start dating or when they start to date and get in these relationships is they don’t know who the hell they are. And if you don’t know who you are how do you know who belongs in your life? How do you know who you truly match with? How do you know what’s truly best for you? You won’t, you won’t and by the time you figure it out while you’re already in this relationship, you’re going to wake up one day and say, what the hell am I doing? How did I end up here? Why am I with this person? All right. We don’t need that to be the case, we need to nip that in the bud from the beginning. So, the quicker you can learn yourself and get a good handle of who you are, what you need, what makes you happy, and what you are willing to provide in a relationship. Because please understand again, relationships aren’t just about what we’re going to receive, it’s about what we’re willing to give. And so, you have to understand, where do you draw your line? What are you unwilling to do so that if you meet a person, that you may really like but they may say well listen, I want this, this, this, and this and if you know that you’re not that person can give those things, all right. Then we can say okay you know what, we’re just not a good match, it’s not a good fit, it happens, we keep it moving. Rather than trying to make it work with someone it’ll never work with. And that’s what happens to so many people because they don’t truly know themselves and they don’t truly love themselves. So, be sure you have checked that off your list and you have that covered before you start dating.
And now, the fifth question to ask yourself before you start dating is, have I healed and released my baggage? Listen, I know some of you all are already thinking, if you’ve seen my face right now 😂 lol, just kidding, you’re already thinking well, everyone has issues, we all got problems. Listen, everyone has gone through some things. Everyone at some point or another has had some issues, not everyone right now is holding on to their issues. People have healed, people have grown, people have become better. So, do not use that as an excuse, do not let that be your scapegoat. You need to look yourself in the mirror and address any lingering issues you need to release that baggage and make sure you’re not projecting past negative outcomes onto your present, onto your future. You’re not holding this new person responsible for something they have nothing to do with, all right. It wasn’t their fault but you’re bringing it to them because you have not released it from your past. And now you are sabotaging your ability to have successful dating and relationships. So, it is important that you take responsibility men and women to heal. Go to a counselor, go to a coach, do what is necessary. Do what you need to do, but do not make excuses for your baggage also understand this, even if you want to believe with all your heart that everyone is walking around with some kind of issue well, then would still encounter that by saying, not everyone’s issue to be detrimental to a relationship. So, basically it’s one thing where some people may have an issue with procrastination. But that procrastination is not going to destroy the relationship with the person that they would end up with. However, someone else may have an issue that stems from their childhood that will without a doubt directly impact their ability to be with the right person. And increase the chances of them being with the wrong person. So, again, sometimes these issues aren’t about just how they affect us within the relationship. It’s how they affect us in who we choose. Who we allow ourselves to entertain, how we may become so accustomed to dysfunction that we will only choose dysfunctional people to be with. This is what happens to so many individuals. So, you’ve got to make sure you address these things for your own sake first and foremost, but yes, for the sake of that you’re going to be in. So that you can live life at a higher level.

“And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed. And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father. And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy Lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above; And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; And it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, That thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob. And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.”

“And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him. And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank. And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son Is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed: Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, And the fatness of the earth, And plenty of corn and wine: Let people serve thee, And nations bow down to thee: Be Lord over thy brethren, And let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: Cursed be every one that curseth thee, And blessed be he that blesseth thee. And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that thy soul may bless me. And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.”
