- NBC’s Harry Smith caught up with the all-star cast of “Everybody Loves Raymond” as Ray Romano, Brad Garrett and Patricia Heaton reunite virtually after 15 years. They’ll also come together for a virtual table read in honor of another cast member, the late Peter Boyle, who died from blood cancer in 2006.

Glad they won't reboot it The loss of Doris and Peter is too deep
that would be like having a Friends reunion with only half of the friends, only in this example its with family
People always forget about the most tragic death
Everybody Loves Raymond would never be the same without both Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle plus Sawyer Sweeten. The show would easily get canceled as it would be totally different and just never be the same again.
Hands down the truth!!! I feel like it would pretty much be disrespectful to reboot the show with the passing of Sawyer, Doris and Peter.
I agree with Ray... y’all can do a panel or whatever but to reinstate your characters without the other 3 ❤️❤️❤️ is just impossible. It would be just like trying to reboot King of Queens even though Jerry Stiller has passed on.
Do I wish there were more episodes of ELR? would I love to see more ? Yea I would have liked to have seen more but that show is so enjoyable, feel good, easy to watch there really isn’t a reason to mess with it. Not to mention it just wouldn’t be the same and that’s something the people have to realize with many shows - that having a love and a longing for what once was should be addressed as an appreciation for how great it was and shouldn’t be pursued as a spark to try it again.
So yes, I am also glad that there is no interest whatsoever in trying a reboot.

You should probably buy them you can probably get the whole season you can probably get it cheaper on ebay your mother can watch it anytime you want.

One of Heaton’s best lines was when Ray was scheming to go to Vegas with Robert, pretending Robert needed him because He was depressed, and Heaton tells Ray “I think you should go.” Ray lights up and says “Really?” And Heaton says , “Yeah...I think you should go to Vegas and then figure what the odds are of me being here when you get back.”

They are SO awesome in the show...lovable lugs!!!!! P.S.-My introduction to Peter Boyle was going to see, Young Frankensteen , er ah, 'stein at the theater and Marie, All in the Family, I'm sure I saw her in Baretta, but can't remember her scene, Mary Tyler Moore, but can't remember the scene...!!!

I respect him for not doing a reboot. It's something classic shows are doing too often lately. That show was flawless. Let's leave it alone.

It shows the integrity of everyone involved. Same with them deciding to end it after season 9 despite the show still conquering ratings and still popular because Phil and Ray wanted to go out on top. This show did everything right imo.

I didn’t realize that all of the actors that played the parents had passed away. So very sad about one of the sons passing away at such a young age.
@@loriryan2045 Yes, they all passed on. While on a walk through Runyon Canyon, Robert Culp suffered a fatal heart attack, falling and striking his head. He was 79 .

You can’t recreate the magic of Raymond without dear Doris and Peter and Sawyer, but you can rewatch the magic time and time again, I’m grateful for that.

From the UK - Everybody loves Raymond will alway be the best show ever made. Spectacularly funny writing. Great characters. It's the only show where I am happy to watch re runs again and again and still find myself laughing even though I know what's coming. That is special

Everything about the show was perfection. They all highlighted the writing, which was superb, but the casting of even the smallest parts was perfection, as were the performances. And the best TV fights of all time. My favourite parts were when Debra teased Ray. Debra to Ray on Cousin Gerard "...you're a much better kisser." Just great.
I never get tired of watching the reruns ! I hope they never take them off. I miss Peter and Doris so much. May they rest in peace. 🙏

I agree with Ray about the whole reboot thing it won't be the same without Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle so it's best to just leave the show the way it is now.

At 62 years old I watch this everyday and laugh till I cry, amazing shows
I love Everybody Loves Raymond since I have all of the DVDs and watch them occasionally. Every time I watch it it still make me laugh. A reboot about it without Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle wouldn’t have the same atmospheric humor. The show was perfect the way it was.

I will forever hold this show in my heart. All the characters were so special. I agree they couldn't do a reboot. It just wouldn't be the same. I just found out about Sawyers passing recently.. and It breaks my heart. This show is so special to me and so many others, one of a kind ❤
I grew up watching the show from 2000 until 2003, and I didn't know that Everybody Loves Raymond ended until 2010. I think that they could have brought the show back sometime during the years between 2006 and 2012, they probably would have to explain what happened to Frank. Both Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond were the two main shows of the late 90's and early 2000's and their runs ended in 2004 and 2005. I don't think that a reboot or a new season should happen, because the show was perfect just the way it was. Rest in Peace Frank, Marie and Jeffrey, gone but never forgotten.

This is one of my all-time favorite shows!I have seen all the episodes over and over and over and I never get tired of them. The entire cast was fantastic, although I have to say without Doris Roberts and Peter Boyles, it would never have been as fantastic as it was. But I also have to say that I loved each and every member of the cast. I have every episode! They were perfect together! ❤️

One of my favorite episodes is The party dress ! It had me laughing when ally and ray went to the dress shop. Also I love the episode when they went to Italy. I still watch all the reruns.

I loved this show. The episode when you got in a fight in the van over taking care of your Mother and smashing jelly donuts all over each other was one of the best. Nothing near as good on TV anymore.
Til this day, it perturbs me everyone was recognized and Mr. Peter Boyle was overlooked. All the awards and he was neglected. By far his BEST roll (long term) and watching or reading interviews where everyone says he was opposite, is proof he was overlooked. He was amazing!! RIP sir.
The writing was fantastic and the timing got better, so many times you said things i have said and i felt you were family!
I truly hope they decide to come back.
The Barones, like Patricia Heaton mentions, have literally helped me during this unusual situation. I’m grateful for them and have Everybody Loves Raymond on dvd although they are played so often, there are worn spots in the discs.

The actors were great and irreplaceable. But what made ELR so memorable is that it managed to combine hilarity with reality, comedy with sadness, all the emotions of real life.
I still wonder why there was never a spin-off series with Robert, Amy and dealing with her family.
Amy's family was great as recurring characters, but a whole show about them would honestly be kind of boring. They didn't really have that "realistic" and "relatable" charm that the Barones had

Everybody Loves Raymond is as much a sitcom classic as The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy, All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Barney Miller, The Andy Griffith Show, Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, Golden Girls, Married with Children, The Jeffersons, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air etc. You don't get classics being made anymore. I have almost the whole series on DVD (still need to get season 2 to finish my collection) and some of my favorite episodes are Robert's Date, Lucky Suit, The Angry Family, Finale, Meet The Parents, The Invasion and alot of the Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes :).
