Pure Dawn Summers supremacy in these episodes. All the scenes between her and Buffy are perfect, her goodbye with Giles manages to have more emotional depth than his interactions with characters he's been on screen with for years longer and that scene when she cuddles into the charging Buffybot is heartbreaking.

Might I add that way back in season one, episode ten, entitled 'Nightmares'; Buffy literally says out loud that her worse nightmare is that of being buried alive. That she had 'seen it' in one of her prophetic dreams. So, when she actually wakes up, buried alive..... Plus, the coffin would actually be completely dark, no light at all. Buried alive, essentially blind, slowly suffocating.

Willow's spell got interrupted by the demon bikers so maybe she would have been brought back differently if it hadn't been. The main reason they had to keep the Buffybot around was so Dawn wouldn't be put into the foster care system and lose her house as well.
It makes sense that Buffy would also ask if this was hell if she had been in a hell dimension and her behavior is very much like how Angel behaved when he came back.

However he led the storybreaking for the 6 first episodes of Season 6 before he left for vacation/writing. Then he flew 1-2 times and gave notes to the writers (Dawn and Buffybot scene was Joss's input). Greenwalt and Minear also flew to the East Coast to talk about Angel Season 3. Of course Joss enlisted Marti to run Buffy and she did a pretty fine job during the first episodes. Also it was the first time she ran the set. Fury was her second in command.

26:08 yep. Joss gave Marti the Executive Producer credit in Feb 2001 in order to co-run the show with him starting Season 6. Joss did it because he was tired but, at the same time, Marti already was in charge of the show when Joss wrote, directed or was over at Angel so she deserved it. For Season 6, with Joss busy writing 6x07, then doing the Angel ballet episode and then Firefly pilot (Dec'01 to Mar'02), Marti did all Joss's duties he did before: she led the writers room, gave notes and rewrites (she did it before), was on set sometimes and oversaw production. Joss was still there but on and off. He still kept control of the overall story and came up with stories (like Tabula Rasa) and red/rewrote scripts as well. Marti was, probably one of the first female showrunners of TV.

The "as Willow" is what they do when they have to make a choice between who gets second billing and who gets final billing when two actors have been on the show the same amount of time and their characters are equally as important. Second billing is prestigious, but final billing with an "as" is also prestigious. So Nicholas got second billing, but Alyson got final building with the extra "as" added on to balance the scales. This was done a lot back in the old days of television. Not so much anymore.

Posting my BUFFY REWATCH recap for ‘Bargaining Part 1&2’. May contain spoilers.
In the wake of Buffy’s death, the Scoobies have made arrangements for their lives to play out without her. This includes: taking over patrolling and staking vampires whenever they rise in the Sunnydale graveyard; Willow and Tara moving themselves into the Summers household to become guardians of Dawn, the only Summers family member left; fixing up Buffybot to perform like ‘The Slayer’ as a stand-in for the real Buffy so no one else but them knows that she’s dead. It’s not exactly a functional system, but it’s getting them by for the meantime. They ultimately know that they need the real Buffy Summers, so they (and by ‘they’, I mostly mean Willow because everybody else is apprehensive of going through with it - as they should be) have a plan to bring the real Buffy back to life. In resurrecting Buffy they have a few things to consider: who amongst them should and shouldn’t know, to which they’ve decided is Dawn, Giles and Spike, lest they don’t understand and try to stop the event of Buffy’s resurrection from happening. Of course, none of this would even be possible without Willow’s forever-evolving magical powers and rather advanced computer technology engineering skills She’s the leader of the Scooby Gang now. By unanimous vote and - let’s be honest - the fact that she’s the only competent one among them who can or should lead, as she’s done it before. Several times, in fact, just not to this degree. But that’s certainly not without it’s consequences.
Willow’s magical powers have clearly gone to her head - evidenced by the fact she never really stops using them, (as proven in this scene alone with her telepathically communicating with everyone, which is intimidating to say the least), and that she’s arrogantly confident in her Wiccan abilities enough to do the impossible: perform a mystical ritual to resurrect Buffy. She achieves it. Of course she does - because she’s the most powerful Scooby member of all the Gang. So it goes without saying that she’s running the whole operation whether the rest of them like it or not. That being said... pretty much everything that happens in the 2-part starter to Season 6 are the result of Willow being an extremely powerful witch and computer technology genius. This includes: resurrecting Buffy, programming Buffybot to perform not-exactly like-but close-enough-to the real Buffy, planning and executing patrol sessions, killing innocent creatures and using their blood for her spell ingredients (I believe this was supposed to be Shamanism - could be wrong), and just all around being a bad ass who possesses the power and control to do anything she wants. Risks and consequences be damned. It is the most frightening side of the character that we have seen yet, and it doesn’t get any less frightening as the episodes go on.
The evolution of Willow Rosenberg is immense. From the good-natured girl we know from the very beginning of the show to the ill-natured girl we see now. A lot has definetly changed and - as a lover of art/entertainment that educates me - it’s very exciting to watch. I LOVE that Willow gets a power corruption arc!
