- Three Reasons To Get The XUV 700 Instead Of The Safari:
First, more engine options. The XUV 700 gets the option of an AWD system which is available with the XUV diesel. It also has a turbo-petrol engine option which is quite powerful and sophisticated; something that Safari misses out on.
Second, it is more reliable. The XUV 700 is the more reliable of the two and we think it ages better; the XUV 700 we tested was two years old. Also, the new Safari will have its own sets of issues and niggles.
Third, the ADAS system can actually be used. If you must have ADAS on your car, we’d suggest the XUV 700. It is more predictable and works intuitively. Although, it’s a two-year old system, it still works better than some of the newer systems launched by other OEM’s.

now I know your reviews are not biased. I would have said exactly same things about xuv700 comparing to safari after woning and driving it for 15000km. Great work and honesty.
@@alpineicehack2023 exactly. I bought it for the safety and the pull and it never disappointed me. Even Leh Ladakh and Spiti.
The best part.....step on it and the pull of the XUV is unmatchable. The safari feels a bit sluggish, so does the harrier, it maybe that Hyundai gearbox, but boy ! The difference is noticeable

@@Yash.90815 I think its definitely correct for the engine atleast, and yeah definitely more reliable than a tata atleast, have owned an xuv500 for 1.3 lakh kms and 8 yrs now i can definitely say its reliable. Yeah a bit of electronic niggles are there but for the engine you can't go wrong with a mahindra for sure, their one of the most rugged and reliable.
Bt the problem is with sensors ..rest everything is soo good in Mahindra

Safari me Engine Fiat ka aur chassis land rover ka.. Indian engineers ko kya experience mila ye product banate waqt?? achchi khasi original safari thi wo band kar di..
Original high torque vala engine band kar diya aur ye europe ke driving condition ke hisaab se bana engine le aaye..

Body roll is more on a xuv 700, also there are rusting issues on the edges. It’s good if you compare the quality too

Most of the accident in tata cars passengers are safe but in Mahindra car one passenger lost his leg due to airbag is not working
@@motorinc It is out there. Some suspension joint broke on an expressway in a ScorpioN. Car steered to the side all of a sudden and smashed into the barrier on the side. The guardrail went through the cabin and the driver lost his leg.

Crowd goes so gaga over 5-star safety of Tata as if it negates poor reliability and service offered by Tata.
When it comes to accident 4 and 5 star arent that different. Something pointed by Schumi too but the Tata stans wont get it.

Both are in the same boat when it comes down to reliability. Tata suffers from lot of small issues and Mahindra suffers from some big issues.

Big issues in mahindra no way i am using XUV for 2 years and i have not any issues with it . And i had a harrier too and sold it cause major issue of rusting and some technical problems

Remember that Tata Safari has the DNA of Land rover.
The safaris looks and interiors I feel is step ahead of xuv. So is in build quality
One can actually do off-road. The other gets stuck and has to be pulled out with, you guess. A Bolero.

Compass are not that reliable they broke much more than any car but comfort is good but xuv is much more reliable
Compass have premium & overall good looking car. But engine are not reliable just as mStallion & mHawk engines offers by mahindra. Today Mahindra have global image when we talking about reliable quality of engines.
Btw Jeep, Tata & MG these companies using Fiat engines.

Now I'm waiting for a facelift of XUV 700..... it's been 3 years since launch..... and i feel XUV 700 became a bit obsolete
Why is automatic transmission pushed forth by companies?
Is it only for user convenience or do they save some bucks?
Maybe there will be more service issue in automatic so they can make some bucks. Automatic is not meant for Indian road conditions and fuel economy will be worse for high end SUV's

Point 2: you are telling that Mahindra is more reliable than Tata. At the same time you mentioned that have niggles in Suspension and Infotainment, then how come it reliable? Without Suspension reliable, don't mention going forward XUV As good product.
Mahindra is reliable? Dude there have been multiple cases of tyres of Scorpio N coming off and Mahindra has not taken accountability or given a statement on it. A man from MH lost his limb because of the same issue as his car crashed on the divider because the tyre came off. Indian brands sell us crap. Buy German or Japanese.. this will teach them a lesson on how to make vehicles and treat their customers. Being a user of the xuv 500 2014 model, I have faced several issues including rusting on chrome parts, electricals of the car (infortainment system) catching fungus, gearbox coming off, even after the car not being used roughly.. n neither has it covered much distance.
I was planning to buy tata Nexon or Mahindra XUV 300, but now have to re-think about it and will change my plan. No point in investing on an unreliable vehicle. I feel Tiagun or creta would be much better than this.

@@television8888dude, visit the showroom, talk to some other owners of this car. My family has an XUV 500 2016 model. Not once have I faced such issues. We have done Banglore to Kanyakumari, Banglore to Guwahati, Banglore to Ahmedabad and my trips. It's still the same as when we bought

@@katakammarthand6306 XUV 700 is blind choice. Don't contemplate on it. Just visit a showroom and experience. XUV 700 is pure joy to ride. They're confident enough to sell these beauties in Australia, SA and Newzealand, meanwhile The Tata pandits can't even advertise their products in Nepal.

I test drove xuv 700 , there is no feel at all in the steering ..... And i didnt like its suspension..... Its on stiff side ...
Tucson is much better .... A rocket with softer ride quality which is great .
I know its twice the cost , but can prefer lessdriven one ....
I too felt the same with 700. My heart says Safari but except steering other things looks fine in 700 than Safari. But Safari's road presence and 2nd row adjustment is unmatchable to 700

These features are a welcome addition but they also make the driver lethargic. Features like blind spot detection, auto dimming IRVMs, rear collision warning are cool to have for the driver has no control over them but lane keep assist, driver drowsiness detection, etc make a person dependable. Man is to have control on the vehicle and not view versa.
You didn't even talk about the build quality...

tata has edge on comfort, toughness and safety quality, xuv is dicey on airbags, suspension and build quality, mahindra is only good for 4by 4
