Chad that forklift would be the answer to you’re problems of moving stuff around your shop you won’t regret 💪🏼💪🏼
Congrats !!! Chad and Jolene and finding such a great bargain on the 8 ft. Metal Break. What great group of friendly Nova Scotians who utilized their forklift and assisted You and Doug on loading it on the trailer and strapping it down for the trip home . With a good clean up of the rust and a fresh coat of metal paint and some elbow grease and real grease it should work fine . Nate mechanical talent may come in handy on this project as well. That old fork lift with some work to the dash and a new key and starter switch would be handy if it'll operate on a gravel surface
Spend a day cleaning and restoring that bad boi and oh baby! I thought i got a hella deal finding a 4 footer with a b2 beverly shear on a 6ft long x 2 ft 1/4 inch thick work bench for $175 US.The shear was rusted solid and wouldnt move but i took it apart and wire wheeled it and it worked perfectly. Gotta think some things are heaven sent, you were blessed Chad. Auctions help ..lol
For many years, I operated a 16’ and 4’ brake press for Deere and Company.
Clean that thing up, adjust to for angle- end to end, and run it.
$800 is a fantastic deal.
Woooooo baby, 8ft break now you're talking. Champs been wanting 1 of those for awhile now. $800 great deal! That forklift purrs like a kitten. That baby would be worth it's weight in gold around the Hiltz compound. Them things are indestructible. I'd grab that if the price is right. You ain't getting any younger Champ. Save ya a lot of wear and tear on the bones in the future and present. Awesome!👍
😉✌
No more moving engines around by hand. Pick them up drop them right in the car. You'll be a moving machine Champ. No more having to get 4 guys together to help move something, just jump on the forklift and do it. BOOM I'm telling ya worth it's weight in gold brother!
A little grease a cleanup and paint it will be like new. Good buy Chad
You need that forklift! When you put up the shelving racks you have you can lift up the motorcycles on a wood pallet and stack them up three or four high on the back wall of your new building. That would look awesome.
That brake has just the right amount of rust that Chad is used to...perfect🤗🤗
Sand blast it prime it paint it great find!!!!
My dad had a 8ft hand brake and also a electric brake. He had a sheet metal shop. I learned how to use them all it will last forever. Good find 👏
I would fix it up and sell it for $7,000.... get your foot shear's blade sharpened, build a 6' bender, and workbench, buy a sandblasting hood, Ellis belt grinder, build a waist high four place receptacle box so you don't have to constantly bend over to plug and unplug your grinders. Take the rest of the money and put a good air filtration system in the paint booth. The guys that sold it evidently didn't feel they needed a 8' bender. I built myself a real nice 4' bender which is plenty big enough for me. I expect you delete this comment, so whatever makes you happy.
It ain't worth seven genus
Great buy Bad Chad Sweet Jolene Doug Nate Fina can,t really call yourself a car custom shop with out the proper tools now a really great work bench and some battery tools those will help going out in the yard or junk yards and not having electricity for grinders or portable compressors those are a must have really
Great buy Chad!
I’d love to see a restoration episode - bringing it back to its former glory!
Whaddya say…?
If my grandmother was here she would say pick you feet up when you walk. Lol
I saw this brake on marketplace the other day and I thought " what a good deal it was ". I'm glad that you got it. Enjoy cleaning it up and using it.
Chad and Jolene You two definitely got a great bargain on your new to you 8 ft. Metal Break . With the high quality scrap steel at 3.18 per kg. or roughly a 1.48 per pound.. Judging by the great communication you had with the previous owner , I really think he was glad that Bad Chad and Jolene are the new owners
That’s a steal for SURE. Sand blast and paint it and it’ll be a $8k new break. 😁🤙🏼
I can only imagine the things you can build with this. Love to see you get new to you equipment
Just want to say hi to Jolene and Chad. Chad you are going to hear all kinds of comments on why you should are shouldn't buy it but if it makes you happy and what you want go for it. God bless and have a blessed evening and night Sorry I missed you Doug. The the same to you.
$800 homophone. A great find!
Great find Chad!!!! I use one of those every day, and they're NOT cheap!!! Can't wait to see you put it to good use!!!
Just waiting for all the 8ft break experts to weigh in
lol
IKR
Lmao 🤣
They're here full force and forklift experts especially the weight of them
For sure!
CHAD you need to weld some 1” pipe about 2’6” in from each end as handles they should come down to about 6” from ground level.
This will make it easy to operate the folder on your own anytime as it will give more leverage.
All the benders that size I’ve used here in Australia have handles like that and it makes it so much easier.
Thats quite a good bender having squeeze handles both ends, it makes it very easy to align cut marks.
Good luck.
Yep, that 8 foot thing looks like a great deal. 😎👍
If you want to get a forklift like that, keep in mind that it is fine on an asphalt or concrete yard. On dirt it works if it's nice and flat and compacted. But it's not good on gravel, grass and various holes or unevenness.
Hey all! Nice ole Brake machine, hope it doesn't scratch because of age! Going to be a job moving it when needed but the price was a steel! I used to work with a ten ft Brake for years and it sure was heavy on my own. ( Aluminum Installer) Hope you like it Chad!
I will imagine that brake machine is really going to come in handy. Really glad you found it!
It’s good to see you investing in tools that would make your job easier, now get a drill press please!
🌴 wow ya gotta brake on the brake , $ 800 is a great buy a little bit of fine tuning and she’ll look like new this is definitely a great addition to the shop , stuff like a water jet or plasma cutter, and proper welding equipment make a big difference on projects , 🤔hummm a 3 D scanner 🤔
As a sheetmetal worker. Buy it now, you cannot find them that quality anymore. Brown and boggs is top
Here we are Bad Chad Nation happy Tuesday. We are getting there. Yes ser ree.
Great purchase..
Way more class with the bent bill cap like in this video.
👍
Fork lifts don’t go very well in stones, like you have at home.
Another reason to add concrete pads.
Make one revolution around the brake when cinching down with the heavy straps.
You can't have too many straps...ever tried to pick up a dumped load on the roadside 😮 neither have I.
Watching you from Scotland 🏴 UK 🇬🇧
Fork lifts are awesome for extracting motors
Fact and everything else that needs moved or lifted
Wanted to see them off load it .. kinda disappointed 😂
I hope you get the fork lift; sweet deal!!
We are all getting older, forklift be handy around your place.
You don't have to be getting old to get a forklift! Forklift is a great asset for anyone who does any kinda work like Chad
Wow good deal, maybe sandblast and paint that brake would be nice it would look new. Dont know if forklift outside would be good idea on soft ground. Used skid steer would be better investment....very nice group of men to help you load her up...
Great buy. Nice find.
Great score Jolene and Chad 🙌
Nice break. Buy the forklift, that's dirt cheap, pulling engine s and moving anything will be fast and a breeze!
Chad if I could suggest you run two chains down the length of your trailer with a turn buckle in the center of length and you can attach straps where ever you need on the chain tighten the turn buckle and your goo to go
Good deal. I would have asked if that was their bottom dollar 😂 you know restoration or custom paint jobs on those are expensive 😂
We bend copper here in Chicago with them 💪 older the better 😎
I think if you was to put it in the yard and sand blast it.Put a good coat of machine enamel on top of it.And then you would have a really nice looking piece of equipment.Lube it up real good and put it to work
Sounds like a bargain 👍 Go for it Chad 👁🐅👌
😂it surprises me that the guy with the forklift didn't use longer straps
I know right 😂
Better to motorise the brake, to find it difficult to press with one person. Roll it onto its side for transporting. !😊
Great deal congratulations guys that’s a fantastic addition to the shop!
That fork lift should have a Nissan engine. I have the same model and it’s very good
I would buy that in a freaking second. That is a deal of a lifetime.
What a find. I’ve watched one rotting away in a field for 30 years , owner doesn’t want to sell. What a shame!
Great purchase! Looks like about eight hundred dollars worth of labor loading it up.😊
No blue nosers were hurt in this loading..
Ur not gonna use it anyways. You'll still cut and bend metal on the floor
Nice bake keep it greased bought one in 1972 sill good as ever, done metal work all my life ,you will enjoy it
No matter the subject matter, Jolene always gives us a ringside seat to the action.
Best in the genre. Thank you so very much
Can make the long crease for a Cybertruck now.
Fina approved!
Very KOOL And Very Nice Guys and Nice forklift. Sounds like a good deal.
used a 8' and 5' brake for 20+ years. You should be able to bend at least 22ga steel with that. Keep it oiled and clean it a bit and it will last your life time. Nice find .
Good find!
Nice snag on the brake. I don't know if that forklift will work for you on that loose gravel around the yard...could get stuck a lot.
is it real what a deal or a steal quality great find
Yep yep...little tarnished but she'll clean up and do the job...cya tomorrow 😊
Great find. Very cool for y’all. Best wishes.
Awesome, Thanks
FINA!!!
Thats a great price. New here in the U.S. , they are $5000-$9000. Alittle TLC and that thing will last a lifetime. 👍
Thats 800 Canadian...thats like 500 USD...crazy!
Congratulations. 👍
Very good buy Chad and Jolene 👍👍
Good buy get the Hi Lo. Hi Doug Fina Jolene and Chad
That trailer looks badass with them white walls,, should put some on the suburban 😊
That is a good find!
Your friend Al from Boston Massachusetts USA 😊
Nice Score Guys,Fork Lift would be great.
Looks like a good deal clean it up and enjoy it!
Great find !!
Nice score...☮
A great find at that price. Hopefully cleans up well
I have seldom had need to bend anything over 4 foot long. The floor space is of more value to me, but it is a great tool.
Awesome score.
Great find at even twice that price and the forklift for 1500 is a steal also been sitting all that time and started right up just put some all surface tires on it to deal with your gravel and you will be good
Awesome break
Awesome! Can you make a petrol cyber truck now Chad?
The Pull Max was a great acquisition it deserves a spot
Right on . 🙂 alls good 👌 👍
Absolute steal, congrats on snapping that up!
Be awesome piece of machinery to make steps sides for a vehicle. 🎉
WoW what a find
Hey Chad don't think that forklift will be any good for the door yard as it wont be any good in the crushed rock, it would need asphalt or compacted gravel to operate
Chains and binders over straps any day. Binding any load.. just old school now I’d guess. Safety with NO GIVE
Congrats on the deal on the break
I worked on the biggest break east of the Mississippi River they built the building around the break because it was big it also had a crane built above it to unload semi trucks
i'd grab the forklift along with the scrap steel panels. Lots of patch panels right there.
Well done thanks
Chad has no hills in his yard. Why would he need brakes. Good score on that, finally a tool he can use to move stuff around. You will find work every day for that.
Nice find
Hi! From Sweden, keep up the good work 👍
