Unfortunate to hear just how much the controllability was an issue for you in the end since yeah that already sounded like a concern in your unboxing vid. Have a pioneer v3 ordered and on the way so I'll get to see how it is soon enough; will be the first time I've gotten to try maglev but I figure it cant be nearly as bad to control as the Monster Go which I could get to do an R6 with lol
But he did put in mystic dnm and silk into the cube which to my knowledge none of which slows the cube down. Especially dnm which is typically very well known for speeding up a cube. It may just be a set up problem. Other TH-camrs that put slow lube like traxxas 50k into the cube doesn’t seem to face much if a problem.
Im planning to de maglev my uv pioners also, is tornado normal version spring is compatible?
I don’t really recommend disassembling the core of the tornado v3 at all (especially the newer core ones).
i think most cube springs are compatible
What if you swap the pieces to the flagship version? Would it feel the same as flagship?
I actually did that (I swapped the caps from the uv coated one) but the center caps on the pioneer version is not compatible with the flagship version. I tried to glue the center caps but it didn’t work that well. :)
