I tend to ride my maverick in tight trails, over rocky terrain and through areas that only really allow me to open it up about half the time. That specific type of terrain usually gets the engine, belts and clutches hot and doesn't allow very good airflow through the belt casing. I think its worth it personally. If anything it will help keep air moving through the clutch housing while stopped with a hot belt and clutch.

Would this pull more dust into the air filter which would cause you to clean it more often? I love the idea of this and will probably order.

This is not going to pull any more dust into the intake screen for the CVT clutches than what would normally be pulled in while in motion. The electric clutch fan will take over air movement to cool the belt and clutches while moving at a slower pace. That alone wouldn't pull any more dust in. I think its a good investment in my opionion. Anything that will help prolong the life of the belt and clutches.. im all in for. Those are expensive to replace.

I got one it worked great for a year and a half then stopped working, the warranty is only one year so this is a waste of 160$. rpm is freaking terrible about taking care of customers, buyer beware.

Thats sucks that yours quit. Im certainly not an employee of RPM so I can't help there, however mines had mud and water down it, dust, etc.. and is going strong. What they sent me was actually a demo model so it already had use on it.
As far as warranty goes, I can tell you that 99% of the products sold out there have a 1 yr limited warranty anyway and only goes against manufacture defect. If yours quit because of forces outside of there being something wrong of a defect, then it wouldn't be covered anyway. My X3 only had 6 months factory warranty and a refused to add another $4000 on top of the price. It's my mitigated risks.
We all hope (including the manufacturers) that products last longer than thier warranties, however the reality is we expect them to do more outside of what they where designd for. In this case it's a fan inside a housing to blow cooler air over a hot clutch. yours did just that, so it did it's job. (edited for spelling)

@@ruyguy8888 I agree completely, but mine made it 14 months (2 months past warranty) before it turned into a $160 paper weight. So I just want to let others know because I feel like it was a waste of my money, I know (as I am one of them) people watch these videos and read the comments to see if something is quality and I don't believe what I paid for was. And no it didn't have rock stuck in it and we don't see much mud or water here in AZ. Btw great video, my review is in no way a reflection on you or your work. (And rpms site won't let you post anything but a 5 star review)
