I love the detail and the explanations you guys put into your videos. It is appreciated. Keep up the good work! I also have a jet boat and a CanAm w toy hauler. We're in Havasu all the time. We are also getting ready for off-roading season. All the local places (ie..0El Mirage) and multiple trips to Glamis. Hope to see you guys out there one day.
Thanks for taking the time to make such a great video, I am pretty sure I can do this fix myself. I have a lathe and some Delrin and will make my own rollers,.
I just did my secondary rollers on my X3 and fully disassembled the clutch . Was a massive pain . I was wondering why it needed to be completely disassembled. Doing one at a time i suppose each pin keeps the helix from unclocking . A 4mm skinny neck socket works perfect for tapping the pin back in for roller reinstallation . I went with Cubic Dollar OffRoad Rollers.
Hi, welcome to the channel. Before the roller replacement it made a pretty loud rattle noise, and the drive felt like it was stuck and we had to gas a bit more.
How is it that you have shock therapy stickers but you have different brand for springs ? This video is going to help me my rollers broke I seen other videos that show take in the hole clutch apart just to replace the rollers 😂
We actually only have shock therapy valving and resevoirs. We had springs prior to the shock therapy work. Glad our video is able to help seems like the rollers commonly go bad
@@wKKnDwarriors well I just discovered it today actually hahaha was cleaning dusting the clutches when I saw it need to get it back on it’s wheels season is here lol you guys make good videos 👍🏼
That rear tire carrier is very cool! Nice and low, I love it! Your other video showed some nice clean wiring, nice work! You should do a walk around video of the X3. I’m curious about the huge Intercooler, the rack and pinion, etc…
I think my rollers just went out tonight. My machine wouldn’t go much when throttling. Basically the belt was spinning almost freely through the secondary. I noticed 2 out of the 3 rollers were gone, I’m assuming you had to use the gas more when yours went and it made a slight whining noise because the secondary wasn’t grabbing the belt as it should? Mine wasn’t tighten on the belt that’s when I noticed the rollers were shot. Also did you have to change anything with the helix?? Thanks! Have a good night
@@wKKnDwarriors thanks for the reply! I might install them exactly how you did since it’s way easier. Possible helix damage was my only concern but I stopped using it as soon as I heard the noise, I have 2 out of 3 gone like you did. Are you still on the same set of rollers from this video?? If so I’d guess your helix is probably good to go man
@@wKKnDwarriors oh okay gotcha yeah maybe check it out to see if there’s any damage. I’m waiting on my rollers in the mail! Hopefully be up and going by the weekend
Hi when you put the new rollers in, as you are not disassembling, should these rollers need to spin freely or because these are still under pressure they don't spin?

How have the rollers been performing ?
Hi 👋 they've been pretty solid, no issues 👌
Thank you... Before you changed the rollers, what was were the signs or issues?

Why are we hammering in the little black screw? Won't that destroy the threads thus making it impossible to change the rollers next go around?
Seemed like the easiest way around getting it in. We did replace the rollers for a 2nd time with no issues

how did you rotate it to get the rollers to fit?
The roller install started right around 10 min into video th-cam.com/video/2wrxknYvTM8/w-d-xo.html&si=WaP2Yt8jSMLZ7AqM

Yeah there was a noise and more friction. Just changed the rollers did not touch the helix, but considering checking it out now that you mention it

Hi correct its always under tension will not spin freely
How did you get the rollers in mine wont go in might have order wrong ones?
Hi we had to buy the tool for it. But there are comments in this thread where someone was able to work around it.
What you torque to?
Hi we torqued it with 56ft lbs
Salut tu a un claquement au démarrage à la fin de ta vidéo tu sais d’où ça vient ? Je te remercie car ça me le fait aussi à chaque démarrage et j’arrive pas à s’avoir pourquoi
Hi yes we think its from the primary. We think it may be the weights rattling. Hope this helps.

Did you get a check engine light?
I dont think we did. We only knew it was broken from all the noises.
I saw a video that disassemble the entire clutch, is that necessary?
Hi we did not diassemble and was able to replace them with no issues.
Why did you have to replace the rollers
Hi they were broken to pieces. Clutch was no engaging.
Does anyone know why my belt doesn’t want to get tighten after I replaced it? Could it be my primary or secondary clutch? Any ideas? I even out the original belt and it still not tightening
Hmmm...may be best to take it apart and reinspect everything. Maybe a washer sliped out
Did the rollers come with new washers
Hi, it did not come with new washers. We used the same ones.
When you drive was it making lots of ugly noises
Hi, yes it did. It sounded like grinding noises.
