Having the eggies in place, so the eggs can be laid and hatch and drop into food all-in-one is really nice. If I was to adapt my aquarium to be like that, it would have to be heavily modified and be far more complex/elaborate, so I don't plan to. I tried putting dry or wet food in with my aquarium and it grew mold in 1-3 days, so that's not an option. So I'll still consider the design to check and remove and scrape the eggs every 1-3 days. I could easily simplify my setup more than I have now, but then I would have to clean the aquarium frequently. I prefer higher complexity, with less daily work, but not so complex that is far too impractical to design/build. My setup is all still highly experimental and I spend most of my time looking at it and thinking, since making changes cost money and thinking is free. If I was a millionaire, I would probably just try things and throw a lot of failed ideas in the trash and probably had a great setup within a week or month. The closer I get to making this work how I want it to turn out, the happier I am. I will be very happy if I accomplish this crazy experimental setup.
