Thanks! It was an incredible campsite. I am happy we could cowboy camp there without rain, winds or insects. Opening your eyes at night you were met with the shadow Mt Sonder and a sky full of stars. A lot of other high camps you couldn't see such views in a laying position.
No, the markers are very frequent and easily spotted. The only time we didn't see many (not sure if they just weren't there or we were slightly off track) was on top - but you can't really get lost you are walking on a narrow ridge if you go too much off track you fall off the mountain!
Few considerations. The day we booked the transport to Redbank it was 40mm of rain. We were meant to do sunset that day then start the trail the next morning. We decided to delay a day to have clear weather for camping on hilltop. As we had the entire day we could have done either but it was still misty/cloudy the next morning so we opted for sunset and it was clear by then. As we went W2E made more sense doing sunset and I didn't want to do Sonder then have to walk on the same day. We also had the mountain to ourself, I think sunrise is more popular. Hope that makes sense.
Hi, beautiful views from Mt Sonder! Thankyou for footage of the incredible landscape of our Australia.🇦🇺

Was it hard following the trail markers/track?

Sunrise or sunset in hindsight?
Depends on many factors and both have merit. I enjoyed sunset.
Is there a reason you did sunset and not sunrise?
