There is 2 ways and you can use both at the same time. First one is Vazarin focus skill Enduring Tides. And the second one is an arcane called Magus Vigor which you can get from Quill Onkko at Cetus.
A sneaky trick to level amps: you can pilot your railjack as the operator! With two good gunners you can spam sovor strait super easy and powerlevel everything. Also a decent credit and endo farm.

I've watched this video a dozen times trying to decide what parts to put into my replacement amps (hunting and general play) I appreciate the compiled information and how you showed how they function in mission. (also thank god for time stamps lol)
2-4-7 is my go to Amp. Shoot the teralyst from the bottom of the legs for multiple hits to remove the shields quickly... Like a shotgun. The vombalyst are annoying so the secondary discs help with clearing them out as it bounces off from one enemy to another.

The fact that we need a comprehensive video to find out how they work because of the huge grind wall, speaks volumes about how mediocre AMP design in Warframe is.

This is so informative. I just crafted and gilded a 1-2-1 Amp (sorry but yeah use the tier is really an easy way to describe them when you got used to it) to start the Terry hunt and I wanted to know what every amp does. And I just discovered thanks to your video that the Scaffold was the secondary fire mode, I didn't even know there was a second fire mode 😂 I have the feeling sometime not everything is explained in the game so thanks to people like you it's easy. Lega prism, phard scaffold and anspaha brace. An ideal combination for general play IMO. Flamethrower is universally effective and disk launcher can deal even with high-level targets
That's what I was thinking. Cause like... I'm not eido hunting all the time, but I need a good option. Plus with me running out of energy all the time... thank you.
Finally a good video about normal use of the amps and not those extreme hunters doing only meta stuff so fast you cannot even blink an eye. Congratilations, very useful for the beginners. My suggestion would be to display the name of each part you are showcasing during the video.
I should enlighten everyone here on the Phahd Scaffold. It can be EXTREMELY effective against Eidolon shields but you're gonna have to employ some tactics: The status effect of the void damage type is making a round field which attracts projectiles (same as Warframe Mag's ability) around the body part you hit. So, afflict any part of the Eidolon with the void status effect (I like to aim for the butt) using your primary fire (personally I use Granmu with the Lohrin brace) and then rapid fire those discs into the field. They'll bounce around and destroy an Eidolons shield in seconds, even without any buffs derived from Madurai and Unairu focus schools. Happy Eidolon hunting!

Thanks for the video. I built a basic amp because I read that I should do that and not use the mote. And since it's kind of a drag to grind for this stuff, I planned to build what people recommend since I have no idea how any of the part descriptions will actually look and feel. But thanks to your video, I am also getting ideas for other amps I may want to build later, just for fun. I enjoy using shotguns and beam weapons, so that'll be cool. As someone who's recently returned after 10 years away, this is all new to me and I feel that the X-X-X system is easier because it lets you know if and when you can build what you want. One thing I don't think was made clear is that the numbers refer to what standing rank you need to be to acquire that part from the vendor. Understanding that, I feel the number system is intuitive and much simpler than remembering 21 different names and what each one does.
Appreciate this . Honestly the XXX number thing actually made it easier for me to follow since I just associate each number with a tier of unlocking parts. Makes it way easier for me. But to each their own 😁
After the echoes of the Zariman update some of these are better for damage when using two of the Amp archanes that can be purchased from Cavalero. The Raplak and Propa damage to teralyst have essentially been boosted to one shot status if done correctly with the proper arcane and focus investments.
Right now I'm using a 2-1-3. Primary fire is good for groups and whatnot and secondary can consistently one shot eidolon and ropalolyst shields, and the void angel's void form, whenever new void strike is active
7-7-7 or 6-2-7 I love the Propa. With the right timing, one-hitting shield feels good and Klamora is a nice stack-dump if you need to reset your Madurai stacks. And the other one is just Shraksun because its good and easy to use. While Im not a "professional" eidolon hunter, I love hunting with 4 friends and do it semi-optimized.
Great suggestion to play Hydron for levelling, my preference is for stealth exterminate as any frame that can mass sleep (ivara, equinox primarily) but since those are out of fashion Hydron is a much easier choice generally while I find I max my amp in 1-2 runs as ivara :)
I still so confused with amp thing as that is why I was watching your video to know how to build and what to build for eidolon hunt solo or with groups as well. I would love to see more of these videos to be able to know more about the best amps to use in different missions or at open world .

Pretty informative video, although for the propa scaffold it’s a bit misleading here. It’s widely used in 6x3, but takes some practice with timing and aiming. I personally like the klamora because it’s more forgiving. When eidolon first came out the meta was 223 or 323 depending on preference with some people preferring to use the scaffold, and that’s a good eidolon starter amp pre-fortuna. I always recommended to people to save their standing to build that amp first. I think I made 7 amps before Fortuna came out, then regrettably got rid of half because of the knockback change. Then made 5~ Fortuna amps lol. Now to make one more for the void angel...
i typically run klamora prism, juttni brace and phahd scaffold. kinda works well as a jack of all trades and for me feels really comfortable in most situations
Goddamnit, if only I've found this earlier. I had already grinded out all the amps with x77 and I have so much regret. The 7th scaffold is awful to use and I honestly did not even know about the different secondary fires until now. Btw, MR30... the game always has new information to dumbfound me.
Thank you. I have watched far more videos than i wanted to, and they invariably revert to 'this is what you should build, this is what the numbers mean' but it's all for hard grinding eidolons. What if I don't want to? What if i want to efficiently gather resources on deimos by just using the obelisks while I'm in a bounty or something and want the best amp for killing groups of enemies that AREN'T eidolons? What if I just want to build something i would enjoy for fun? I wanted a guide that showed me what each part did and explained what they were for, and i just kept finding stupid meta builds which i can find on literally any article about amps. I'm watching videos to see the parts in action and make up my own mind Anyway, I really appreciate this comprehensive and informative guide. Very helpful, thank you so much
without shenanigans the best amp is definitely 7-7-2 the only thing it requires is the arcane strike (easily obtained from quills), it is very versatile easy to use and no one yells at you saying "your amp sucks "It's not the first amp you'll make for sure but it's what I recommend to bet on (the klamora prism make me feel like goku from dragonball)
why not use 5 over 2 its less recharge time and more amp energy and once you are able to beat profit taker little duck is a faster farm then quills imo
I totally agree with you about the Propa scaffold, is it very very hard to use and land the hit in the right place to get max damage on the eidolon, I've been using a 7-7-7 for a long time, and have still not mastered that part. The developers need to bring another scaffold out, one that's actually useful and not a lottery chore to hit a target with.
I wish there was a primary fire that worked like a high power single shot bow, that would be sick. I love bows in Warframe but they’re weak. Seems like amps would be a good utility spot for them
I feel like the choice of amp now has been severely made easier with the rework to void strike. Save for the worst prisms and scaffolds, you're guaranteed to take out the shields out of an eidolon before the damage boost wears off. You can alternate between who triggers their VS in squads or you can simply wait a few seconds for the cooldown to end.
i just have 1 amp because i havent done a lot of eidolon hunt, and sometimes i even forget little duck exists. but my amp is 1/2/3, really simple and i dont really use my amp outside of eidolons. so i rate amp just on how fast can shred terry´s shield.
I use the klamora prism and the dissic scaffold and they do a god amount of dmg to normal enemies and have helped my operator become a bigger part of my normal gameplay, along with waybounds from the focus trees. My point is, if you invest in a getting the newer parts from little duck your amp can be quite good for gameplay outside of eidalons. Esp killing nullies.
Thank you so much, i came back to warframe last week and I've been trying to get some amps so I can contribute in profit taker and eidolon hunts. BUT I have a bad amp so it sucks trying to get a better one while struggling. I wish there was a better system.
They really should put recommended on some quests, like use a gilded custom amp for the sacrifice or maybe even chains of harrow, but at least they removed ability to unequip amp which was still there before zariman.
Speaking of meta(slaves), I got somebody to leave by bringing Excalibur umbra to tri-eidolon hunt. I was going to use voidrig's 4 as my damage source as I didn't care to stack 12x combo on the redeemer as chroma.
Same happened to me quite many times. One time a person left the squad because we didn't have an Oberon for healing the lures. I was playing as Trinity...
Regular Excal using his 4th. Not umbra because your combo resets every time you switch to operator. Embarrassing for the try hards when a default looking Excal tops the DPS.
im using the 663 (lega, dissc, lohrin) amp for status together with the viral + heat + heat multi arcanes ( ... why you ask ? for status in high end steel path survivals i can EZ stack viral + heat + make the enemies less resistan = damage MULTI this is actualy realy good combo that helps cause the rest of my weapons dont have viral/heat so im applying more status types = more damage from the status galvanized mods so this way operator AMP is extreamly valuable even in high end stuff combine it with zenurik operator for shock, slow, energy (for both operator and warframe)
Very good to remember what each does, as people have pointed , with angels of zariman , new option and build can be used for other stuff , i will try and make a klamora phahd and Suo , i already used a 777 before, but on angels my energy alays felt short to use with void strike on angels, so that double energy might help with it, and the homing disc can be useful on the crowded bounties and to kill enemies to evolve the new vesara.
a strange thing, when you are preview a new amp on fortune, eveytime i click to see how it would be when gilded , the value on klamora cost change, to more and less, so is there rng on it ?
I think my goal is a 7-6-6 / 7-4-6 (better against groups) or a 7-1-6 (has better reach making it better for void angles) while everyone wants crits for eidolon hunts I personally desire sustainability with using the eternal logistics arcane, having that allows me to fire much longer and have it recharge near instantly while also having the means to take out groups of enemies too.
@@kalvorax yeah I built the 716 since I didn’t want to grind out the remaining standing for the 746 but I may want to do that. Being able to fire so frequently is such a huge boon especially with lots of enemies. Solid proof that a meta build isn’t always the most fun way to play, never take more damage over needed usability.
I’ve been off an on playing for a year and half but started playing more seriously 6 months ago. Probably a little silly but I didn’t start doing eidolons until I could build a “7-7-7” from little duck plus the go to frames. Didn’t want to be too much of a burden on anyone. I love it but of course wish it had more range but if there’s a good volt player or I’m playing volt the shield helps with that.
743 is a personal favorite of mine for general use. Klamora is reasonably good for taking out Thrax ghosts and is decent at proccing Void status due to its high fire rate combined with the status bump from the Lohrin. Phahd is really good for shooting into crowds to get an easy revive (especially since you can shoot a few shots and camp in Void Form to wait for things to die), and the damage scales well enough into Steel Path as long as you have _something_ to bump your damage (Void Strike/Unairu Wisp, Magus Melt, etc.). If you wanted to optimize for Eidolons, you could probably do much better with a different build, but for most missions? Works well enough. It's a damn shame I hate mining so much. I'd probably try new amps more often (same goes for the other modular weapons, I suppose). Still, maybe I'll make a Dissic amp my next project, it looks fun.
What i use is a 1-2-3 as i think its the best with the least amount of annoyance in acquiring as i basically refuse to do anything forutuna related unless forced too
Personal Preference: Plaga Brace because I feel that Amps take too long to recharge sometimes and often get angry when my Amp takes too damn long to charge.
Madurai waybound passive can provide that. Meanwhile, there aren't as many sources of crit chance for amps, which is why Lohrin and Certus are so popular.

I think im gonna go for a 2.4.7 build but i was wondering whats the best build for void cascade as i always see players using the flamethrower prism (sos idk the number) so should i make a seperate amo for void cascade? Heyo! 2.4.7 is a good build. People usually use 7.x.7 for preety much anything nowdays beacuse of its good range, fire rate and damage. What really makes an amp are the buffs you get later on, such as arcanes and focus tree upgrades.

Man there are so many weapons in warframe where the description just doesn't tell you what it does. Every time I craft one I have to check youtube or the wiki comments to make sure it doesn't have some unmentioned or understated trait that ruins it.
I know this vid is a bit old and hopefully you see this but could I have the amp build you were using in your video? It was the flamethrower one near end of the vid.
I used Lega prism, Shraksun scaffold and Lohrin brace. This amp is best used against normal enemies and not eidolons, but it still does good against them. In a few days this might change a bit when the new update comes out. There will be a rework of the focus system and many things will change with that. I hope this helps :)

I try to use volt prime for when I go eidolon hunting since that damage buff is nice for melting its shields plus I don’t got a mote amp so thank you for the video to help me 😁
i use 6-1-3 for everyday use if it aint eidolon tbh. along with Virtuos Forge, magus accelerant and magus melt, it can delete SP enemies just about and lets me melt arbi drones when im running around with Aquablade Limbo

You will need to invest in madurai and vazarin focus trees. I would also recommend getting a magus husk maxed (150 more armor) first as it's easier to get than focus stuff. Operators base armor of 25 is crazy low. Warframes only get down to 100
@@QuadLyStop if I may asked, your setting is 7-6-7? is it good enough on Eidolon and normal hunt? (not that u will use amp on normal mission.) so you will use your primary to destroy the eidolon shield? not the secondary fire?
The 7-6-7 setup is good enough for eidolon hunts (I use primary fire) if you have no operator buffs (arcanes and stuff from focus trees). If you have buffs though, the best amp setups by far are X-2-7 and X-7-7. I usually play as a lure healer with Trinity, so my main focus is on keeping the lures alive. So I use Zenurik for constant energy regeneration, which doesn't buff amp damagae that much. I hope this was helpful.

Not to mention if you use the lohk brace the 12/12 % , the status effect of void can cause the x.4.x can continually bounce on the eidolons upper body
I'm finally getting into Eidolons and Profit-Taker, so this is really helpful, tysm
imo it's the most fun content since you can't finish it just by slapping damage on damage

Yeah I heard about this but with the PHAHD I wish mag could use magnetize on the eido that would speed up the process that little bit
I just use the Raplak to damage Eidolons, and the Phahd to destroy voms after my lures are full.
This will help me upgrade my first amp to optimize for hunting Terry

Pretty informative video, although for the propa scaffold it’s a bit misleading here. It’s widely used in 6x3, but takes some practice with timing and aiming. I personally like the klamora because it’s more forgiving.
When eidolon first came out the meta was 223 or 323 depending on preference with some people preferring to use the scaffold, and that’s a good eidolon starter amp pre-fortuna. I always recommended to people to save their standing to build that amp first.
I think I made 7 amps before Fortuna came out, then regrettably got rid of half because of the knockback change. Then made 5~ Fortuna amps lol. Now to make one more for the void angel...

2-4-7 is the best all-purpose amp imo. After testing many different combos that one was my favorite.
i typically run klamora prism, juttni brace and phahd scaffold. kinda works well as a jack of all trades and for me feels really comfortable in most situations

Goddamnit, if only I've found this earlier. I had already grinded out all the amps with x77 and I have so much regret. The 7th scaffold is awful to use and I honestly did not even know about the different secondary fires until now. Btw, MR30... the game always has new information to dumbfound me.

7th scaffold is awful to use but meta currently. 7-7-7 will be the meta choice for eidolons after April 27th (Focus Rework 3.0).
Thank you. I have watched far more videos than i wanted to, and they invariably revert to 'this is what you should build, this is what the numbers mean' but it's all for hard grinding eidolons. What if I don't want to? What if i want to efficiently gather resources on deimos by just using the obelisks while I'm in a bounty or something and want the best amp for killing groups of enemies that AREN'T eidolons? What if I just want to build something i would enjoy for fun? I wanted a guide that showed me what each part did and explained what they were for, and i just kept finding stupid meta builds which i can find on literally any article about amps. I'm watching videos to see the parts in action and make up my own mind

without shenanigans the best amp is definitely 7-7-2 the only thing it requires is the arcane strike (easily obtained from quills), it is very versatile easy to use and no one yells at you saying "your amp sucks "It's not the first amp you'll make for sure but it's what I recommend to bet on (the klamora prism make me feel like goku from dragonball)

why not use 5 over 2 its less recharge time and more amp energy and once you are able to beat profit taker little duck is a faster farm then quills imo

I totally agree with you about the Propa scaffold, is it very very hard to use and land the hit in the right place to get max damage on the eidolon, I've been using a 7-7-7 for a long time, and have still not mastered that part. The developers need to bring another scaffold out, one that's actually useful and not a lottery chore to hit a target with.

I wish there was a primary fire that worked like a high power single shot bow, that would be sick. I love bows in Warframe but they’re weak. Seems like amps would be a good utility spot for them
Have you tried bow Daikyu? That bow has an extremely powerful shot, it does depend on the mods however.

I feel like the choice of amp now has been severely made easier with the rework to void strike. Save for the worst prisms and scaffolds, you're guaranteed to take out the shields out of an eidolon before the damage boost wears off. You can alternate between who triggers their VS in squads or you can simply wait a few seconds for the cooldown to end.
As a Beginner, i think i will build 2-2-1 based of this video. Its cheap and can deal good single target & good aoe.
2 - 2 -3 was my first but now I'm planning to do 7 - 2 - 7 Eidolon and
1 - 2 - 7 for Angels
i just have 1 amp because i havent done a lot of eidolon hunt, and sometimes i even forget little duck exists. but my amp is 1/2/3, really simple and i dont really use my amp outside of eidolons. so i rate amp just on how fast can shred terry´s shield.

I use the klamora prism and the dissic scaffold and they do a god amount of dmg to normal enemies and have helped my operator become a bigger part of my normal gameplay, along with waybounds from the focus trees. My point is, if you invest in a getting the newer parts from little duck your amp can be quite good for gameplay outside of eidalons. Esp killing nullies.
Haven't tested it yet, but i think klebrik could be good against the little sentient skulls.

Thank you so much, i came back to warframe last week and I've been trying to get some amps so I can contribute in profit taker and eidolon hunts. BUT I have a bad amp so it sucks trying to get a better one while struggling. I wish there was a better system.
They really should put recommended on some quests, like use a gilded custom amp for the sacrifice or maybe even chains of harrow, but at least they removed ability to unequip amp which was still there before zariman.

Speaking of meta(slaves), I got somebody to leave by bringing Excalibur umbra to tri-eidolon hunt. I was going to use voidrig's 4 as my damage source as I didn't care to stack 12x combo on the redeemer as chroma.
Same happened to me quite many times. One time a person left the squad because we didn't have an Oberon for healing the lures.
I was playing as Trinity...
Regular Excal using his 4th. Not umbra because your combo resets every time you switch to operator. Embarrassing for the try hards when a default looking Excal tops the DPS.
im using the 663 (lega, dissc, lohrin) amp for status together with the viral + heat + heat multi arcanes ( ... why you ask ? for status
in high end steel path survivals i can EZ stack viral + heat + make the enemies less resistan = damage MULTI
this is actualy realy good combo that helps cause the rest of my weapons dont have viral/heat so im applying more status types = more damage from the status galvanized mods
so this way operator AMP is extreamly valuable even in high end stuff
combine it with zenurik operator for shock, slow, energy (for both operator and warframe)

Very good to remember what each does, as people have pointed , with angels of zariman , new option and build can be used for other stuff , i will try and make a klamora phahd and Suo , i already used a 777 before, but on angels my energy alays felt short to use with void strike on angels, so that double energy might help with it, and the homing disc can be useful on the crowded bounties and to kill enemies to evolve the new vesara.
a strange thing, when you are preview a new amp on fortune, eveytime i click to see how it would be when gilded , the value on klamora cost change, to more and less, so is there rng on it ?

I think my goal is a 7-6-6 / 7-4-6 (better against groups) or a 7-1-6 (has better reach making it better for void angles) while everyone wants crits for eidolon hunts I personally desire sustainability with using the eternal logistics arcane, having that allows me to fire much longer and have it recharge near instantly while also having the means to take out groups of enemies too.
oh god that 0.5 second recharge delay is amazing.....just built a 746 and its fun as hell :D
@@kalvorax yeah I built the 716 since I didn’t want to grind out the remaining standing for the 746 but I may want to do that. Being able to fire so frequently is such a huge boon especially with lots of enemies.
Solid proof that a meta build isn’t always the most fun way to play, never take more damage over needed usability.

I’ve been off an on playing for a year and half but started playing more seriously 6 months ago. Probably a little silly but I didn’t start doing eidolons until I could build a “7-7-7” from little duck plus the go to frames. Didn’t want to be too much of a burden on anyone. I love it but of course wish it had more range but if there’s a good volt player or I’m playing volt the shield helps with that.

743 is a personal favorite of mine for general use. Klamora is reasonably good for taking out Thrax ghosts and is decent at proccing Void status due to its high fire rate combined with the status bump from the Lohrin. Phahd is really good for shooting into crowds to get an easy revive (especially since you can shoot a few shots and camp in Void Form to wait for things to die), and the damage scales well enough into Steel Path as long as you have _something_ to bump your damage (Void Strike/Unairu Wisp, Magus Melt, etc.). If you wanted to optimize for Eidolons, you could probably do much better with a different build, but for most missions? Works well enough.
It's a damn shame I hate mining so much. I'd probably try new amps more often (same goes for the other modular weapons, I suppose). Still, maybe I'll make a Dissic amp my next project, it looks fun.
What i use is a 1-2-3 as i think its the best with the least amount of annoyance in acquiring as i basically refuse to do anything forutuna related unless forced too

Personal Preference: Plaga Brace because I feel that Amps take too long to recharge sometimes and often get angry when my Amp takes too damn long to charge.
Madurai waybound passive can provide that. Meanwhile, there aren't as many sources of crit chance for amps, which is why Lohrin and Certus are so popular.

Heyo! 2.4.7 is a good build. People usually use 7.x.7 for preety much anything nowdays beacuse of its good range, fire rate and damage. What really makes an amp are the buffs you get later on, such as arcanes and focus tree upgrades.

Good news is ive got both arcanes max rank cos ive been playing void cascade alot so all i need now is a good amp which is what im grinding out. Hopefully should have a good amp in a few days. Man there are so many weapons in warframe where the description just doesn't tell you what it does. Every time I craft one I have to check youtube or the wiki comments to make sure it doesn't have some unmentioned or understated trait that ruins it.

I know this vid is a bit old and hopefully you see this but could I have the amp build you were using in your video? It was the flamethrower one near end of the vid.
I used Lega prism, Shraksun scaffold and Lohrin brace. This amp is best used against normal enemies and not eidolons, but it still does good against them.
In a few days this might change a bit when the new update comes out. There will be a rework of the focus system and many things will change with that.

That is probably the best setup if you don't want to change things constantly. I'd stick with it, it is very powerful and quite fun.

I try to use volt prime for when I go eidolon hunting since that damage buff is nice for melting its shields plus I don’t got a mote amp so thank you for the video to help me 😁
i use 6-1-3 for everyday use if it aint eidolon tbh. along with Virtuos Forge, magus accelerant and magus melt, it can delete SP enemies just about and lets me melt arbi drones when im running around with Aquablade Limbo

You will need to invest in madurai and vazarin focus trees. I would also recommend getting a magus husk maxed (150 more armor) first as it's easier to get than focus stuff. Operators base armor of 25 is crazy low. Warframes only get down to 100
I currently like using klamora with a certus brace and dissic scaffold

so you will use your primary to destroy the eidolon shield? not the secondary fire?
The 7-6-7 setup is good enough for eidolon hunts (I use primary fire) if you have no operator buffs (arcanes and stuff from focus trees). If you have buffs though, the best amp setups by far are X-2-7 and X-7-7.
I usually play as a lure healer with Trinity, so my main focus is on keeping the lures alive. So I use Zenurik for constant energy regeneration, which doesn't buff amp damagae that much.
