Myanmar’s military launched air strikes on an area near the Thai border for a second day in a row on April 28, 2021. The junta says it is a response to an attack by ethnic minority Karen insurgents targeting an army post the previous day. The Karen National Union, Myanmar's oldest rebel group, supports the movement that has resisted the junta since it seized power from the civilian-led government. The hostilities near the Salween River in Myanmar’s eastern Kayin state is described as one of the worst clashes since the February 1 coup.

Thailand doesnt take sides because there is a risk for war. They instead provide humanitarian aid for those who were injured.

I don't think they would be dumb enough to directly do that but it is possible to do it indirectly.
If found out, it will not directly lead to war, but diplomacy. Tho those differ from country to country.
It really always depends on the military power of particular country to defend itself.
They say that words speak louder than action but if the words won't work, actions will take place that could possibly lead to violence.

I was in south east Asia at beginning of 2020 and I had an amazing tour guide from Myanmar. I really hope he and his whole family is safe. He was a very kind young guy and he worked to send money to his family

For those who live near the border between Thailand and Myanmar, who chose not to leave their homes. Please stay safe. The people in Thailand near the border, many has chosen to stay since there is no place for them to flee with what little they have.

For those who don’t know who the Karen people are , they are an indigenous group from Burma and we’re the first people to arrive there , it is pronounced kuh-ren, we call our selves knyaw but the British named us Karen when they colonised Burma
