I found the 1 cent copy of abyss shark (someone sent this during stream u can check my vods at around 03:06:00)
We didn’t have a second profile deck to explain the addition (didnt really think that someone would put something up for one cent for broke boy)
Imo it did not matter it was just another 4 shark that contributes nothing to the sticky game states regardless.
Anyway please this is a fun show with my friend mbt, I’m not trying to cheat to get wins. I just want to make a great vid. These are recorded way in advance, it’s very frustrating to see people say i cheat for this “for fun” series.
I don't think anyone's actually upset about it, it just makes the episode less fun and makes the entire premise of the show essentially useless when viewers can just list expensive cards at 1 cent for you guys.
They can all eat your Abyss Shark Danny. That was hella fun to watch anyways.
I have to agree with you, abyss didn't have a great impact on the outcome of that match, and even if it did, I don't think it matters. Broke boy isn't simply about cheap decks it's about having fun and people that can't see that are missing out.

This series is awesome, lets some cards really get a spotlight where otherwise they would be absolutely useless
It also probably has the most interesting deck building portion out of any yugituber series out there. The world is your oyster, but oysters are expensive.
Honestly if you're just going to play with friends for fun or locals for fun this series is excellent, every week you can rock up with competent rogue decks and just enjoy yourself for almost nothing.

This is the most fun game of Yu-Gi-Oh I've seen in a loooooong time.
These super budget formats are actually amazing. Watching Danny pop off with crazy xyz monsters was a lot of fun.
i love how this series lowkey thrives on viewers posting cards for a penny with all the value in shipping. it'd be cool to get bigger numbers and just add the shipping costs. I'm sure these decks were like 50 each in cart
Last time the decks were around 90 bucks each if you include shipping.
The decks are that expensive in cart since they're buying from 50 different sellers. IRL, they's still be quite cheap
A lot of time the prices will be a lot more because of shipping from multiple different people. Yeah the decks would be alot more expensive without viewers putting cards at a cent but they are playing some pretty cheap decks ( I will say sharks should not have been played)
Think MBT optimised it on stream and it came at something like 10. The generaider he used episode 1 was like $25.
It kinda sucks tbh. Someone can just list a card for 1cent that is super helpful for the deck to help them out and its not really reflective of the price of the card.
I feel like MBT would have won if he remembered that Jhrelth sends a card from deck to grave too. He activated it so many times and it hurt to watch :(
Didn't get past the intro yet, but I can just FEEEEEEL the wasted Tindangle turns about to happen. Tindangle are really fun if you know how to play unconventional decks.

Just as a note, for any Tindanglers out there:
Jhrelth does in fact trigger Intruder if you discard it for cost. The instance where Jhrelth doesn't trigger Intruder is if you foolish it with Jhrelth, because the special summon of Jhrelth and the foolish of Intruder are simultaneous. However, pitching something for cost? Definitely not simultaneous
So can the finale of this series be "Playing only with cards we can get for free"?
Afterwards you could evolve the series and instead become Rich Boy Yu-Gi-Oh where each card has to have a minimum price or price range.

18:36 At this boardstate, MBT has game. Link Defense Position Dholes, Trinity and Attack Position Jhrelth for Tindangle Acute Cerberus. Cerberus gains 3000 ATK by its own effect, then gains 1000 by its own effect, so at 4000. Cerberus has an up arrow, therefore Hound applies and reduces Full-Armored Black Ray Lancer by 1000, so it is at 1100. Hound attacks Lancer, apply Nergal's to deal double, (5000 - 1100) x 2 gives 7800 damage, Cerberus attacks into Castel for 4000 - 2000 = 2000 damage.
Not to mention Cerberus can attack 3 times when summoned using dhols
Seeing Castel the Skyblaster Musketeer in a deck that costs less than a dollar hurts me on a fundamental level when I remember it being like $80 a copy

I think to avoid viewer cheese they should just use MV of cards and if that's TOO high just raise some of the super low options on the wheel.
Don't listings usually take some time to process and pop up, unless people are listing cards in advance, I'm not sure how much the viewers are capable of affecting the builds 🤔 .

I can't believe it, my favourite card c101 getting the spotlight, and off of The Seventh One as well. This is incredible. Usually I always hope MBT wins, and especially if tindangles are being played, but I can't not root for the c101.
This is why I knew having the deckbuilding be done on stream was a bad idea- Danny benefited from someone *just deciding* to throw up Abyss Shark for a cent and then letting him know in chat.
I'm not saying Danny outright cheated, but these sessions should be done off-camera or else there's nothing stopping Joseph and Danny's viewers from going "Oh OK let's find some cards and fake put them on sale for a few cents so the dude can use them."

Bahamut Shark just got a reprint at rare rarity in rulers of the deep and its going for 0.03-5 bucks aprox

Is it me or was MBT not using jhelreth correctly? When special summoning first you send a card from your hand as cost, then at resolution you send another card from your deck to grave and then summon jhelreth face down. He never sent cards from his deck and missed out on summoning upwards of 3 monsters at once each turn.
MBT never uses anything correctly, that's part of the fun

Oh, Joseph... Don't you know? Rescue CAT is who Monk was summoning from the Deck. Rescue RABBIT was printed with text that read "Cannot be summoned from the Deck". One of the few times Konami made a fair and balanced restriction on a good card to prevent history from repeating itself. I would've thought you'd remember that!

You can see it in the TCGplayer sales history, somebody actually listed and sold an Abyss Shark for a penny on august 6th. It's a clearly bizarre outlier though, and I think that sort of thing should be discouraged for this kind of series.

One big complaint is abusing the listings with high shipping prices. This artificially deflates the price of the card since you guys don’t factor in shipping.
MBT out here proving once again, its not about the size of your deck, but about the angle of your tindangle
To answer your question Joseph. The whole XYZ shark stuff got reprinted in the new Mako Tsunami pack along with a bunch of number monster stuff. Mostly just water monster support with a lot of common and rare reprints of most things including Bahamut shark. The only thing notable of the whole set really is specifically the marincess support, a reprint of forbidden droplet and a ghost rare of Number 101: silent honor ark. Even the rest of the supers and ultras are not really sought after due to mostly being retrains of mako tsunami. monsters.
love this series but can you do less cuts to full camera view? youre both playing a bunch of random decks so its kind of hard to keep track of the board state
There is no way Abyss Shark, no matter how run-over/damaged/burnt it was, would be cheap enough to not run the deck over the 1$ budget. The finished list didn't have it. If viewers are going to "secretly" post cards for 1 cent then what's the point.

They're not going off of shipping price. If that was the case they would literally not be able to build a single deck. Even a speed duel deck would cost more money due to shipping. The issue is buying from multiple sellers and buying 1-3 cards from a single seller. With optimizing it still is pretty expensive, but still. Shipping and taxes will always bump up the price.

these are fun, but I kinda wish they had to include shipping with the price. You could still end up with some cheap janky decks, just set the wheel from like 10 bucks up to 30 or whatever.
Shipping is like a dollar for most cards. Unless you find one seller on tcgplayer with all of the cards in an archetype you'd literally spend like 40 dollars on shipping
It won't work unless you end up finding all your cards from one seller doing it at pennies.
My favorite part of this series is how the actual price to buy these $1 decks is like $50+ because of shipping.
Fun fact: None of the items in Joeseph’s card sleeve art are actually a dollar anymore.

Should do this again, Saga-like. Start at $0.50, then increase each episode. Players keep cards in their pool during the series and can use in following episodes. Not sure on winner/loser prizes; maybe winner can get 1-card up to episode budget; loser gets 50% more of next week's budget. Seems like there would be plenty of room for strategy, mindgames, and powercreep.

Love the series but i think you shouldn't include damaged cards that are listed for like a penny because
1: you wouldn't be able to play them in a real setting anyway
2: the series will become way more janky

You can't add a flip monster by discarding a flip monster off succession you have to discard a non-flip monitor to add a flip monster or discard a non flip monster to add a flip monster
No it's definitely you trade one flip monster for another. You can just choose to switch out by type or level.

I think it would be a great idea if at episode 5 or 10 we get a "season finale" where you say the total amount spent throughout the season and build a deck with access to all the cards you purchased in the previous episodes. It gives a sense of building up a collection.
Great episode. I wouldn't worry too much about the whole Abyss Shark thing, since I feel like you could have cut it, and the deck would still function all the same. Besides, MBT malding about Honor DARK was funny.
A deck that would be good in this series would be Symphonic Warrior; they are all low rarity, and the DIFO support is lowkey cracked. If you spin a higher budget, you can even put in Beyond the Pendulum. You do have to be relatively aware of the gamestate due to the Symphonic counters though. Nowhere near as bad as F.A., but still something to keep in mind.
