To say those were “light” misplays from the CEDH niv player is an understatement. Also even though the deflecting swat situation was a completely illegal play, Joe deflecting swatting the deflecting swat back to him was hilarious.
I get Magic is hard and we all miss stuff, but some of the miss plays really effected the outcome of this game from several of the interactions from the Niv player…
Have you ever wondered how Azorius is the only thing bluer than Blue? Like, Blue says: You may attempt to cast it, but I choose if it gets through. Now, Azorius says: Yeah, you may cast that, but I'll not only decide whether it comes through, but I'll muse upon whether I am fazed by it or outright unimpressed.
I get that misplays can happen but holy shit, there's a point where someone isn't "misplaying" so much as trying to fucking cheat... especially when that someone used to work for WOTC and should know how to play the damn game.

Joe had tons of treasure to pay 1 for the flusterstorm. I feel it is a bit dishonest to not offer your opponent to pay 1 and just act like it's a straight up counter. that plus the deflecting swat on the spell with no target hurt my brain.
Thrun missed alot of counters bc of the enchantment that gets 1/1 counters for all the spells cast bc joe cast like 6 spells that wouldve been 7 counters then hydras growth wouldve made him 14 counters

Predatory hunger only counts creature spells cast by opponents so no missed triggers.
