    I'm nearly 70 years old but still I never get tired of listening to these old stories.... I've even been known to tell a story or two of me own over the years... LOL... Yep this old bike has a few stories, My only problem is I have a bad habit of stretching the truth a wee bit... And yes I know that's flat out lying so to stand as a man of God I had to stop telling my stories until I can learn how to tell to whole truth of a story and make it still sound good... LOL

      Yeah. I'm really fascinated with the Apache gold more than I am with the Lost Dutchman gold mine. I get carried away in thought just thinking about where that Gold Chamber was near the Apache land or within a 10 mile radius of it. How do you see it in your thoughts? It drives me crazy just thinking about it repeatidly day after day after day.

      I know this is 4 years late but I totally agree with you.... When I hear him speak I can just picture being surrounded by other campers, a blazing fire, the sounds of the night and Hank Sheffer telling us our "grown up" bed time story. I love this ..
      I miss camping. What an amazing story.

    What a great resource for classroom materials, especially when discussing fables and tall tales! Loved it.

    The lost dutchman gold mine can be seen from the saloon in goldfield. An adobe house was built over the entrance to the mine. It was originally sealed off with cement but to many people asked questions so the house was built over it.

    In December of 1868 Jacob was in a saloon and met his new lady friend " Kente " who worked at this saloon in Wickenburg Arizona. The story goes that Kente of was a very beautiful Chiricahua Apache Indian woman who was being harassed by a local miner. Jacob told the miner to leave Kente alone. The miner didn't listen. So Jacob told the miner to walk outside and he would settle the problem. Jacob shot the miner by holding his coat over the muzzle of his revolver gun. Kente was so impressed with Jacob she left with him the next day after she had told Jacob about a rich gold mine near Phoenix where they lived together.
    The first trip that Kente and Jacob made to the gold mine they brought back 229 pounds of this gold ore. Jacob sent 40 pounds of this gold ore to his sister in St. Louis Missouri in a nail barrel and Kente and Jacob kept the rest.

    I think the riddles tell where the gold is, but that's not how we think, so you can search all you want and not get even close. If certain information is available, it would confirm what I am thinking, and I think I've figured it out. I would like to go there myself, and I wish someone who is affiliated with this production contacts me. If not, I'll make my own trip shortly.

    So my question is what did he do with that 240,000? Some say he shipped it off?

    • @LuckyBaldwin777
      @LuckyBaldwin777 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      $254,000 at $20/ ozt and 14.58 ozt/ lb avdp = 871 lbs of gold. (Ozt = Troy ounce and avdp = avoirdupois) That's a lot of weight to mine and haul out of the mountains for a man in his 70s. What happened to all that money? If he had all that money, why,when he was on his deathbed, did he say he had been living on the gold ore in the candlebox under his bed? Somethings a little bit fishy here.

    The matchbox ore doesn't match ore from the Vulture, so Waltz's gold didn't come from there.

    Why is the matchbox a secret?

    • @LuckyBaldwin777
      @LuckyBaldwin777 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To protect the current owner, I imagine. Another of these old Dutch hunters says the matchbox was made by a jeweler in San Francisco, and it was made from ore that didn't come from the Lost Dutchman. There are so many different stories about this mine that it is hard to tell the truth from the fiction.

    If the writer didn't know his name then how did they find the shipping orders?

  • @TheBlindbowman

    the mine is very hard to locate . it takes many years to define even the smallest clue and finding the right clue is even harder , but yes he had a mine and yes it is as rich as he said it was even more so ..but be warned . the curse is just as real as the gold ore ...a smart man once found it and never returned ,but he is still alive .....lol
