  • Have you got Gear Acquisition Syndrome? Don't feel bad! I've got GAS (badly)... My DP Damian has GAS...The only personal I know that DOESN'T have GAS is my fiancé Lauren...but I guess she has enough on her plate dealing with mine!
Gear Acquisition Syndrome is a real thing, and it can start to cause serious issues if you don't approach buying new equipment with the right mindset.
I've found over the years that you can easily fall into the trap of falling for hype, jumping in the deep end and buying a bunch of newly released gear, all at once, which can put you in financial trouble!
Thankfully, there is a solution. There are times to buy gear and there are times to knuckle down and focus on skills. That's what we're discussing in todays video, so check it out!

Do you suffer from GAS? Be honest... Haha. What's a piece of gear that you've invested in that has been game changing for you. Let me know!

I should name a used 70-200 f/2.8L that I bought in 2013 and still use on a modern Canon R6MK2. This was my first L lens and it really helped me step on another level. Basically ~70% of my reportage portfolio is made of images shot with this exact lens.
      Thanks for the video!
