@@pacermusicmaker7930 I remember watching the trial as it was happening, and my personal feelings on it is the prosecution shared everything they could as effectively as they could. However, they couldn't anticipate the selfishness of the jury. Because of local biases, they had to bus people in from a city 90 minutes away and sequestered those jurors away from friends, family, their lives, and the outside world. It just so happened the trial and jury deliberations were running them close to July 4th's festivities, and I truly believe they all just wanted to go home to their families and barbeque meat and shoot off fireworks.
They couldn't care less that they were letting a selfish, depraved sociopath go free, all that mattered to them was that they weren't stuck away from their friends and family any longer. That one of the jurors stated that they could more readily believe that Caylee drowned and Casey "covered it up for three years" over the possibility that she killed her daughter and lied about it just speaks volumes. And the fact the original vote was 10-2 "not guilty" just tells me people on the jury cared more about themselves than for justice for that little girl.

I finally found her, I’m yelling outside my house & hear her little bark far away & it was coming from my house & she had shut herself in the spare bedroom. I was so happy to see her. No one know how they would respond in these situations but one thing is certain: you would feel a lot of stress. Pretending like nothing is wrong and turning a blind eye to the confrontation, is her coping mechanism so she doesn't have to face any of it.

@@cjbenson76, but she wouldn’t have calmed down that much when it’s a child. That was my point. It would be bad enough if it was just a pet, but I’ve especially never seen a competent mom get over her child being missing that fast. There’s a difference between pulling yourself together versus clearly lacking any sort of emotion. She was more relaxed in this video than most people are even in their day-to-day life. Not only did she lack emotion, but she didn’t care to even talk about her child. She was more focused on speaking about the media. Most moms would lean into the media anyway, in order to aid them in looking for their child. They would be trying to do something, ask questions, etc. If she had just pulled herself together like you seem to think, she would be more goal-oriented, not avoiding it all together.

He is acting dumb about the cameras because SHE asked about them. He knows theres a camera in there and he knows where it is. The problem is, so does she. She is very good at acting cool, relaxed, etc. This is something she has done her entire life, so it comes natural to her. She is extremely proficient at steering the conversation into casual convo.

Yup, I know how to do this from a lifetime of abuse, generally I don’t display emotion unless I’m alone because it leads to conflict. She’s extremely psychologically “trained”. I was cool as a cucumber while my daughter was going through anaphylactic shock, I didn’t really react until I was alone in a room with my husband and she was “out of the woods” sleeping, then I cried and screamed and broke down at home with my husband. Wether she did it or not, idk. I chose forensic pathology as a career because of that reason and recognizing that it’s not a very common trait but I chose to do something productive with it, some people like this don’t, but she didn’t get here psychologically on her own.

Agreed. Most people commenting here about this situation they are in seem to be lacking context. This interview is happening 30+ days after her daughter is missing, 30+ days of lying to her parents about it, a few days of lying to police about imaginary jobs, co-workers, baby sitters ... this interview is happening just after they literally arrested her at Universal Studios because she brought police there to see her office ... for a job she never had. Every single thing she has said to EVERYONE leading up to this interview has been maliciously fabricated. IMHO this orgy of behavioral circumstantial evidence to her guilt is what lulled the state into a false sense of security over the murder 1 charge.

If I was on jury and I heard that we had to decide if a woman is guilty of the murder of her child and we know this woman didn’t ever report her child missing and doesn’t even seem to care that she’s gone, I’ve practically already decided that she’s involved somehow. And if my only option is finding her guilty of first degree murder or letting her be a free woman, imma go ahead and vote murder. And that’s just with the fact that she clearly couldn’t have given less of a damn about the girl. Factor in all the other stuff and it just gets worse.

@@rileyistired4530So you would sentence a 22 year old to the death penalty because you don’t like how she behaved after her daughter went missing? I hope you are never on a jury. That is not evidence and you would have been intensely prepped of that upon commencing your jury duty. Maybe Caylee drowned in the pool while Casey should have been watching her. Maybe she accidentally overdosed her with medicine to keep her sleeping. Neither of those are first degree murder. If you want to prove first degree murder you have to prove that it was murder and not manslaughter or neglect and you have to prove it was premeditated. You cannot convict someone of planning to no executing the murder of their child based entirely on the fact you don’t like how they behaved after she went missing. That is not evidence. Legally, it just isn’t no it doesn’t matter what you personally think or feel.

So no, people won’t never forget what she did, because no one knows what happened. I am in no doubt that Casey is responsibly for her daughters death but people really have a God complex if they claim to know something the cops and prosecution still don’t know. It is utterly impossible to claim first degree murder beyond reasonable doubt when you don’t know when, where or how someone died. It makes her fathers story of an accidental drowning then a cover up seem perfectly plausible, but the prosecution only put first degree murder on the table as an option. If they had done their jobs properly Casey would be in prison convicted under some law as being responsible for her daughters death, but first degree murder was never going to be it.

Panicked, tried to stage it as accidental drowning, realized that drowning wouldn't explain everything so decided to throw her into the woods and make it look like she was kidnapped and murdered. Maybe she had help from her father? Idk, but I don't think she killed her on purpose.
Lots of holes in her story, but the prosecution was incredibly stupid and Casey had a great lawyer. She was prosecuted for 1st degree murder and they wanted death penalty, but didn't have enough evidence for it. And the evidence they did have was easily disputed by Casey and hew lawyer. So she walked free, there's nothing the jury can do if they don't have enough evidence. Also, wasn't she evaluated twice? She's not a psychopath or a sociopath, she just doesn't love or care for her daughter, there's a lot of parents like that, it's not surprising. I don't know why people are shocked that she doesn't show emotion, she clearly hates her child, that's horrible, but more common than it should be

As a mother, this lady's demeanor is hugely off track. I would be on my knees, begging them to help me find my child...but of course, I love my kids. It's pretty obvious, she doesn't love hers.

One clear sign Casey Anthony murdered her daughter Caylee, when interrogated by police she is not emotionally paralyzed but calm, like waiting for a movie. She is working so hard analytically to behave right, that she behaves wrong. She doesn't know because she's a sociopath.
I was more distressed when my cat went missing and got into a fight with the neighbor's dog and I didn't know yet if she was hurt, maimed, or killed than she was at the horrifying murder of her own child.

Roughly 10% of the population are sociopaths or have notable sociopathic tendencies.
This does not make someone a murderer, that's a movie or murder p0rn trope. The vast majority of people who commit murder are not sociopaths. There is also no "behaves wrong" here. when 10% of your population are sociopaths, that's a norm. Its different from what, 50% maybe exhibit, but its still a norm. Bit off topic here, but there's actually some very good studies on how and why sociopaths are so common and their value to society and value within emotional mammal groups.
You know what was most disturbing to me in this video?
It was not even the case.
It was when i learned that an apparent, self proclaimed, "body language expert" is not a psychologist and that is also actually why i don't think i'll be watching any more of his video's.

If you can’t prove those things in court you can’t possibly even prove she was murdered let alone who might have murdered her. People aren’t convicted based on acting “too calm”.

I think it's important not to demonize the jurors on this case. From my understanding, a lot of the jurors did believe she was probably guilty. Like you said though, it ultimately boiled down to law: they didn't belief the evidence was able to prove without a shadow of a doubt that Anthony was guilty. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them did suffer internal angst/struggle after the case was over.

    • @jupitersans
      @jupitersans 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I disagree. They were taking "without a shadow of a doubt" far too literally and thinking that even with evidence they can't convict if there's a slightest possibility of doubt which is NOT what that phrase means. They didn't understand the law and they blew it. That little girl's blood is on their hands and I hope the guilt they feel is immeasurable. They had the evidence and stupidly let this monster walk free.
