I've been experimenting with this machine for a while and am pleasantly surprised by the flavor of espresso it produces for such a novice friendly piece of equipment. Am i utilizing it in the best way possible by putting in whole beans, and producing shots repeatedly or is there an easier way of getting a larger and robust cup of coffee?
Hey, It really depends what you prefer (convenience or espresso quality) and if you are ready for a decent learning curve if you go the Bambino and manual grinder. But the reward will be an espresso much better (a real espresso) that the super auto , even the 5k one won't be able to do.
Hi Colin great video but I am really confused with the Magnifica range as there are so many different models. What are the main differences between the Start, Plus, S and Evo and which one(s) would you recommend (Best Value for Money?). Many Thanks
Hi, No difference with the inside components and espresso quality. The design and control panel will change, as well as the drinks you can make automatically, if you choose a machine with a LatteCrema carafe. For espresso, or black coffee, the Start without the carafe does a great job. For a machine with more options, the Evo is the best value, I think.
Hi Colin, have you taken the pour spout apart yet for cleaning? They tend to get very dirty after months of use. There is a phillips screw at the bottom underneath. I am just wondering how this model is for taking this piece off for cleaning. Many thanks if you can tell me about cleaning this piece.
@@Cafelista_Coffee You can use a small mirror or your cell phone camera to see up underneath the spout Colin.. I guarantee there will be a screw there to take it out.....
Hi Colin, i want to buy a coffee machine. I find in the same price the Delonghi magnifica Start and the Gaggia brera. Which do you think is better, which would you choose?
Not true. You hold the drink button you want for a few seconds (3-5) it will then run until you press it again. The machine then remembers how long the next time you use it. This is also explained in the manual.
@@lesdavidson4740 Yes it's a way, but this will only adjust the volume of your drink, by adding more water of less water.. not really the quality of espresso and the extraction time.
I am currently using a nespresso original line machine. The pods are ridiculously expensive and the amount of coffee in the pod is low , so i want to buy a new machine. I like really strong coffee, which is better for me ninja luxe espresso machine or delongi magnifica start?
@Cafelista_Coffee i found the magnifica for $400 (100 dollar off) but i am not sure about how good the espresso is going to compared to traditional machine the ninja or brevelle machine. Is the difference very noticeable? If the difference in strength is little i would prefer the convince of a superauto like the delongi.
@@ishmamrahman877 Hey, That's a good price for sure. It's quite noticeable but it doesn't mean it's bad. There is less crema and body but you can have pretty good coffee too with a super auto. And yes it's more convenient for sure. Too bad I can't send you an espresso through internet 😁to see the difference.

What do you think of the Magnifica Start ? Best entry level super automatic coffee machine ?
Very helpful perspective, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi Colin, great video! Would you choose this over an entry level manual espresso machine like the Breville Bambino + a decent manual grinder?

Hi thanks for the review, very helpful.
Could you maybe do a video explaining the best method for steaming the milk with the wand?
Hi. Thanks for the feedback. Sure.
I'll put that on my list 😀
Ill be back soon with more content

Hi.
Not on this one. I used the Magnifica again last week for a new video. I can go check. I'll keep you posted.

Is there a video of how to adjust its settings?
Not yet, just launched the channel recently but I'll have ready for next week : how to make your coffee stronger 😉
Would you choose this or the phillips lattego 3200?
Hey. Magnifica for sure !

Hi,
I'd probably go with the Start. Quite easy to start with and (with great beans) it makes great espresso (for a superauto)
Shall I buy this one or Philips Baristina?
I'd go for this one for sure.
Have you adjusted the pour time for your esspresso? I have mine on the standard setting but noticed it doesnt pour for a long time?
That's the tricky part with those machines. The only way to extend the pour time will be the grind a bit finer, increase the dose might help too.

Hi,
Both options have their pros and cons, it really depends on what you are looking for. For stronger and better espresso the Ninja Luxe for sure.
