What's the dimension of your barn
The pack is 50feet by 200feet long . The entire barn is 72 feet wide and 272 feet long.
Do you pre chop the straw before needing the cows? How do you add the straw
We do not pre chop the straw, we uses a modified manure spreader to apply the straw, check out my other video about composting straw
Do you have to keep adding straw?
Yes, we add the equivalent to one 8 foot square bale per day. I do it once a week. Today I’m bedding with corn stalks.

Near Ottawa. The pack is 200Feet by 50 feet. The barn is 272 feet by 74 Feet wide
Ok. I have a small dairy farm near Renfrew. I've visited a few pack barns before. I'm really interested on the fact you are using straw. How many bales are you going through a year? Do you buy the straw?Thanks
