I had a CPM-10V Blade get nearly ruined in heat treat but decided to test the blade to see if it can survive Bushcraft tasks and some abuse.
Specs on the blade. CPM-10V 65 HRC 18 DPS and .008-.012 BTE
Great to see you started your channel back up again! Awesome and informative reviews! Thanks for sharing!

This is really impressive. I just ordered a custom fixed blade in 10V on a bit of an impulse (insane deal, could not pass up). I was a little worried it wouldn't be tough enough to make sense in a fixed blade, but this puts those concerns to rest. Not that I ever really do anything more than split kindling, anyways, but still. Nice to know you could. There's very few tests like this out there, so appreciate it.
@@themattenthehat hopefully it’s heat treated well.
Glad to see a real review of a knife that pushes it beyond normal use. So many people are scared to do any more than opening packages!
I have been waiting for this!!!!!
Was just about to send you the link 😁
That design is beautiful!
Thank you I’m hoping to have a few completed soon.
@@TheScrawnyLumberjack Which model is it?
@@PinkMist88 I’m calling it the baby puukko designed to be a neck knife. It’s not on the site yet. Shoot me an email if you want to do a custom order. Contact info can be found on my site. Link in the description.

Appreciate it my content is much slower now but I’ll try to share the important stuff here too. I post more often in IG. Same handle.
Fuck yeah my kinda vidja.
After trying aebl z wear, and 52100, 10v is tbe only steel I’ve gotten properly hard.
I got the piece of .97” from AKS only 2 bars left. I thought 24”x2” Blanchard ground 10v for $100 is a pretty good deal.
And the chipped areas probably make it cut like serrations. These high carbide tool steels act like that at high hardness
